Pechuga Apanada (breaded chicken breast, served with rice, beans and fried plaintains)

When I'm in the area this is one of my top spots to get food. Food came out amazingly fast this visit. Service is ok, some drinks take forever to come out, and I'm not talking anything mixed. There is no free refills on anything but water. The waitress was friendly made a couple suggestions. There are plenty of options of drinks including an amazing coconut lemonade which you can have with or without alcohol. Everything is cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The music was jamming and everyone was happy. If you're anywhere in Long Island you need to try this place out. You will leave full and satisfied.

Excellent dishes here! Everything was so flavorful and served piping hot. Wish I took more photos prior to devouring. Place is very colorful and vibrant and the waitstaff very attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back! The chicken and rice was so good as was the steak!

Sabor A Colombia Best Colombian restaurant in the area hands down!! I've been here a few times and they consistent in their quality and quantity of food. I was a huge fan of the fried pork with avocado and fried plantains. As well as the red snapper and country platter was delicious. I wasn't a big fan of the calamari but like I said the food here entrees are amazing. Service is fantastic and they have a live singer in Spanish and English! Beautiful bar and very well made drinks!! Everyone come here if you love Colombian food!!

This is the Ajiaco. This is half the order. So good...

On cold day's I love a great Ajiaco. And no one makes it better than Sabor a Colombia. Its perfect for a lunch special. Comes with rice , bread , avocado and sauces. One of my Monday afternoon favorites. But go early it sells out regularly.

Omg!! So good. If you are looking for an upbeat Latin vibe this is the place. Loved our meal. We started with empanadas. I love Colombian empanadas with the corn outside. We tried one of each. We had red wine, but there were plenty of options to choose from. I had flounder and my husband had a steak on a sizzling pan. Considering the size we still ate most of it and had very little left over because it was so delicious. And the dessert... tres leches was super milky and delicious, I don't even want to tell you because I don't want to share.. lol. The live entertainment was a huge plus. Lots of birthday celebrations which she sang for each person in between songs. Service was great! We will definitely be back!!

I love this place! The ambiance, the music, the crowd, it's a perfect place to experience good food and entertainment! This was not our first time here, but it is my first review. For appetizers we ordered calamari, the chicharron and avocado with tostones, and for the entree we got the Colombian breakfast and the fish...The only thing I would say is that if you want calamari go to an Italian restaurant, cause it wasn't really hitting... Other than that, fish was crispy and seasoned to perfection and I don't know what they put in the white rice but it was too good just to be white rice! The Colombian breakfast, speechless, egg and steak cooked to perfection! The appetizer with the chicharron and the avocado and salsa with the tostones, a meal in itself! Let's not forget about the Colombian soda and the apple soda! I didn't want to share anything, everything was so good! The singer, she added such a beautiful touch to the experience! I was singing in Spanish and English! Our server was perfect, I'm sorry I don't remember her name because she was very pleasant and made the experience even more memorable... 10/10, would definitely recommend!

I haven't visited this place in years and they've really stepped up their aesthetic game, but have kept the delicious authenticity. The ambiance is modern, with homage to Colombia culture such as the Chiba bus. Since we made it in time for happy hour, we had sangrias-both white and red, and also margaritas. To me, the white sangria was the best of the three, it not too sweet perfect blend of alcohol and fruits. We had an array of appetizers, including calamari, Tostirron, shrimp ceviche, and a mixed platter with different appetizers. The best appetizer was the tostirron, which is guacamole topped with fried pork and eaten with tostones. For dinner, I had the fried snapper (Pargo Rojo Frito) and while it was good, I would've liked a little more spice. I had to add a lot of the sauces they provided on the side, to kick it up a notch. In the past, I always ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce. My cousin ordered it and really liked it. The best part of our night was the karaoke. My friends/family and I had a great time getting to unwind and sing a few times. Overall we enjoyed Sabor for their food, drinks, and vibe.

I've passed the restaurant several times, today I decided to try it. There's ample parking in the front/back. We waited a few minutes to be seated, it's a nice size restaurant, bar on the right when you walk in, tables to the rear where you'll find a huge screen TV, DJ booth and stage for performances. There's TV screens throughout the place. My waitress was really sweet, I didn't get her name. I had the breaded chicken with beans and rice, it was seasoned and good, the sauces are really good and spicy. We had the arroz con pollo, it was good, a lil dry but still tasty. I had a sex on the beach, it was weak but tasted like a good fruit juice. I will be returning to try other dishes

This place was jumping on a Saturday night! Came to celebrate on a friends birthdays. This is a restaurant in a shopping strip so grab the first parking spot you see because it was scarce. They don't take reservations so it's first come first serve, so you can imagine arriving after 7 we were in for a bit of a wait. There was live music and lots of energy. There are tv's on the wall And lots of tables trying to maximize the space and get people in there. The music is loud so expect to yell and listen to live music depending the evening. For appetizers we ordered empanadas, Chicken stuffed Arepas, and beef filled tostones. Everything was delicious i honestly could have eaten another round of empanadas. They were crunchy, the inside was piping hot (burned my mouth) (WORTH IT!) and stuffed! I took a bite and wanted to not stop eating despite the temperature. The guacamole with chicharrón was fresh, and the arepas had that sweetness that works so well with savory chicken. I ordered the bandeja Colombiano and ate everything but 1/2 the chicharrón because I ran out of rice and beans. I sat down thinking I would be taking home leftovers but once I cut into the steak it was on. The flavors were on points the white rice was a stand out. Paired perfectly worth the beans, the sausage was well done, and avocado was fresh. The sweet plantain tasted like sugar. It was the kind of meal you are excited to talk about it was so good. I ordered the tres leche it was fine. Not a standout for me felt it was dry so I'd pass on that and go with the flan. All in all this was 5/5 stars.

Such an energetic and lively restaurant! Came with some friends and we had a great time. It was very busy, so the service was a bit slow. But there was lots of music and a singer which was fun. I got tostones and arepas con queso. Both were so delicious and such a big portion. Perfect place to come for a celebration!

I asked for the onions . They dragged it. Bendaja a Sabor Colombian ? I think was the name

Affordable price for good food. Wine is a good price . Can't wait to go back and attend HH! I sat at the bar. The place is bigger than I expected. It's spacious. It is a little loud. As soon as I sat down, the bartender served me and I didn't wait long for me food

As soon as we walked in, the manager Stephan was right at the door ready to greet us. He already knew who we were and welcomed us like we were regulars. That kind of attentiveness is rare--you usually have to look for a manager, but here he was front and center, making sure everything was perfect from the start. The restaurant was busy (always a good sign!), but we were seated quickly and treated with such kindness and efficiency. The service overall was excellent--friendly, attentive, and just a great vibe all around. And the FOOD... absolutely incredible. I had the skirt steak with rice, beans, and salad--10/10, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My friend had the fish and loved it just as much. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Between the amazing food and the outstanding service, this place is a gem. Huge thank you to Stephan and the entire team for making us feel so welcomed--we'll definitely be back!

I asked the server what it was because how amazing it smelled, and he said it was the mixed seafood in lobster sauce. I ordered that and it came. There was squid, shrimp, mussel and clam in the soup. It's an extremely friendly establishment. I highly recommend it to anyone.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a staff member who was very welcoming. We ordered an arepa with shredded beef, yoyos with grilled chicken, and a chicha. Everything was delicious! Just be prepared to get a little messy. It's not exactly a first date spot lol. The chicha was especially good. It's a bit thick, which makes it feel more like a dessert drink. It tasted just like rice pudding, which I loved. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.

At first i didnt understand why then I realized they were donations for Venezuela victims from the earthquakes which was nice. My sister ordered me the Venezuelan sandwich "pepito" with chicken and steak. The sandwich was very good and tasty. It was a big serving and tasted like it was made with love. However, when my dad went to pay the bill at the end they tried to charge an operating fee of $7. My dad complained thats illegal and the lady tried to say its a fee to maintain the space. I never heard of an operating fee anywhere and for that I took off 1.5 stars. Please eliminate that fee if you want to keep customers because the food was great!

I ordered one of their signature arepas: The Joint and it was great. It was juicy, packed with a good amount of food and was a nice combination of flavors. As a plantain enthusiast this was the perfect arepa for me. 1 arepa would be filling for the average person. My boyfriend ordered the El Poco Loco for us to split which I wasn't too crazy about - it reminded me of a crispy chicken sandwich and I didn't care for the sauce on this. I didn't bother to eat this after the first bite. Additionally I got to try the tres leches and this was better than I expected. I'm always hesitant to try tres leches because there are so many ways to prepare it. This way was more classic and simple with just the cake and the 3 milks at the bottom. It came served in a square dessert cup. It felt a little small for the price but the taste was worth it. My only constructive feedback for the cake is that the cake would be even better if it was a little less dry as far as texture but that can be hard to balance as you don't want the cake to become too wet over time due to it soaking in the milk. I can't wait to revisit: I'll be getting the tres leches again and would love to try the El Guey.
