She decided to come on a Saturday night as they have a live DJ. The restaurant has valet parking, but my husband and I opted to park in a local parking garage and walk over. It was about two blocks. The place is absolutely stunning! It is located right across from the city where you can enjoy beautiful views of the skyline and water. The restaurant has several gorgeous chandeliers and a very upscale vibe. The dining area seemed to be split in two and we sat in what seemed to be the main dining area, with the bar. But there was another extended area beyond. I was completing dry January so opted to have a mocktail. I had a guava margarita mocktail and let me tell you... This was the best mocktail I've ever had! A lot of times when I order one it just literally tastes like soda. I'm not sure exactly what they put into this one, but there was a smoky finish that made it taste like there was mezcal. Even my husband was surprised at how delicious it was and how much it resembled an alcoholic drink. I was elated to actually have a delicious tasting non-alcoholic drink. (For once) To eat, my husband and I shared the antojitos sampler. This made more sense for us than getting the individual appetizers we got - as that way would have been more expensive and we wanted to be able to try multiple things. The sampler came with ham & cheese croquetas (which were my husband's fave) mixed empanadas, maduros rellenos, queso Fritos y chicharrones. The fried cheese, maduros & chicharrones were my fave even though it was all amazing. For dessert, we had flan and sadly that was a miss for me. My grandmother's Puerto Rican flan will always top any that I try, so idk why I try lol Their spin is to add pineapple and I didn't like it. All in all, it was a wonderful birthday celebration and the birthday girl enjoyed the food & the vibe. Thanks for having us Son Cubano! I will be back to try your brunch!

The hostess , reservations management and phone service are an absolute disappointment. I made a reservation for a 60th birthday surprise dinner back in April , they specifically said without a credit card the reservation is not confirmed so against my better judgement I gave them my card number back in April to hold the reservation . I called them a few times to make sure everything was good , I also explained that 6 people would arrive about 15 minutes prior to the reservation since it was a surprise and I would bring the birthday person in a few minutes later . I also specified in the reservation the request for their room with NYC views etc... Guests get there and are told that the room I requested has another party going on and that reservations are not a guarantee as they run in a first come first serve basis . So WHAT IS THE POINT of holding my credit card for 5 months then ?? I tried speaking to management for weeks before the reservation and one was never available . So their event management is an absolute joke I'd give NO STARS if I could . The view of the city is simply amazing and our waitress Nai was such an amazing person , she was always on point , always very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu . She deserves 10 stars . Thank you Nai for your outstanding service . They also have Valet Parking and that was also great service from beginning to end . The decor is very appealing and the vibe is exceptional . However the DJ was NOT GOOD :( The food : the food was amazing , from appetizers to deserts everything was so well seasoned . I also had a Pastelito Martini and that was to die for . They need to do some serious adjustment to their events reservations and do a better job on managing peoples requests , because that was a bad experience in that department..

The upstairs dining area was nice and they also have casual dining downstairs. Our waiter was Luis and he was friendly and helpful. Danny also helped with service and he was very nice as well. Everyone seemed to be having a nice time. The food was good. My fish was perfect for me since I am Gluten Free. We enjoyed our margaritas and chips and guacamole as well. My husband had the Chorizo and thoroughly enjoyed. We would go back and I recommend going if in the area.

I like their appetizer sampler (Aperitivos Mixtos) it brought ham croquettes, meat patties, & pork rinds. I went with my immediate family, we were a group of eight people in total. The service was okay, they mixed up my bean order but I still ate what they gave me it honestly wasn't the biggest deal it was still quite delicious. I ordered Camarones al ajillo with black beans and white rice. It was phenomenal! My mother ordered herself a bandeja paisa, my brother in law ordered himself a skirt steak. We had a sangria to share as a family and it was quite tasty. I forgot to take pictures of the food as I was way too hungry. Overall, this is a super tasty Cuban restaurant in West New York, NJ. 10/10 recommendation.

The empanada sampler was sooo good, they nailed the flavors for sure. The ropa vieja was not as savory as it typically is at other restaurants. The mojitos and wings were decent. This is a great spot for happy hours and small bites. This place is huge, three floors or something. But only the first floor is used for dining, I believe. The others are rented out for events. Even when not having an event, it's a missed opportunity to not utilize the other floors.

Service was quick and everyone was helpful. Only downside is parking--it's a struggle to find something nearby. Still, definitely worth it.
