Sabor Divino is a nice local store for tortas, nachos, desserts, fruit drinks, smoothies, sodas, etc. The owner was friendly and welcoming. I think there is only street parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a few tables outside but it's mostly inside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I only got a soda here. I'll be back to check out other things.

One of my go-to spots for Tostitoocos! The ice cream is great, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

It's a small place but I think it's changed owners or something because I hated this place before and last time I went the new guy serving was amazing and so nice. The food tasted good and it was made with effort

Mexican snacks here. The banana split was something else - a sweet tooth's paradise. It had bananas, of course, and topped with mounds of ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate syrup, and wafer cookies! OMG. It was big enough for 3-4 people. The manzana loca, Michoacan style, was unlike any other. It had the tasty wedges of apple, chamoy, and peanuts, but also chunks of fresh fruit, including watermelon and mango. I will be back to try more of the many goodies here.

    MANGONADA!

MANGONADA! I walked in here with a craving for a delicious Mangonada! I was greeted right away by a friendly dude. He took my order and wanted to know if I wanted everything on it (lime, chamoy, Valentina, mango, and mango sorbet) so I said yes. The mango sorbet in this Mangonada is beyond delicious! It's not watery like some other places. The sorbet is the reason this Mangonada stands out. I always say I'll get a scoop but I always end up getting a Mangonada! All the ingredients together make for a delicious sweet and savory treat. They have a ton of other Mexican desserts, snacks, and even conchas and bread. But I always get the Mangonada. They have a punch card if you go back 8 times you get a free Mangonada. SCORE! Parking is crucial out here since there are two parking spots at the store front which are never empty and a parking lot behind the place which is sketchy AF. Regardless... This is the go to for Mangonadas!

Perfect on a hot day like today

Nostalgic flavors from my childhood in a gelato format? :)…read more I came to Marco Polo on a Friday evening and ordered two small cups for my partner and I. This is my third time at Marco Polo and it really hit the spot. The location is in Vietnam Town, on the far right side, next to Pho 90. When I went this time around, there was no lines but there were still people sitting in the store eating their desserts. Parking here can get tough because of the plaza itself so just a heads up to folks who do not frequent the area. What makes Marco Polo so special is their Asian gelato flavors that you cannot really get anywhere else (that to say a lot of places are now expanding their selections). This was the first spot where I could finally get my hands on durian gelato and it was absolutely delicious. The store itself has around 3 tables for you to sit in and is pretty bare boned. It is good for a grab and go but with the limited seating inside and outside you could spend some time here. Service is quick and you are able to try out some samples. This time around I ordered black sesame and Pandan, while my partner got mango and lychee. It was near close so they ran out of mangosteen unfortunately when I went. While the flavors were great, stood out, and were bold, I will say texturally it was a bit icey for my liking but that might have been because they started crystallizing from being out for a while. Overall, this is a small business I will continue to support!

It was definitely noticeable in the soft serve and made everyone else around us notice it too. The soft serve was smooth and creamy, not icy like cafeteria quality soft serve. The durian flavor was custardy as if it was still in fruit form. It didn't taste like there was only durian essence mixed in, it tasted like there was actually durian blended into a smooth cream that is then frozen and swirled into this nice frozen delight. The ambiance of the shop was cool too. It had a giant mural like painting of a big soft serve in a cone for photo ops and the colors were painted light with blues and pastels for a calming vibe inside the shop. I must come back and try their waffles next time!

The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, and I really liked the decorations inside. It is a comfortable place to sit, chat, and hang out with friends. Our group ordered the avocado smoothie, soursop green tea, and durian soy pudding. The durian soy pudding had that distinct durian smell, but the soy pudding made the overall flavor a little bland. The ratio might have been slightly off. Two of my friends ordered the avocado smoothie and thought it was okay, but they wished it had a stronger avocado flavor. The appetizers were the highlight for me. The popcorn chicken was definitely the best item we tried, and the curly fries were also good. We also ordered a combo with fried fish balls, lobster balls, and fried tofu. It was decent, but nothing really stood out. They have a large menu with several items that caught my attention, so I plan to try something different during my next visit. Overall, Sweet Corner is a nice place to relax and catch up with friends, with good snacks and plenty of drink and dessert options.

The decor feels…read morevery European--there's a large mural with Paris-style buildings and even the Eiffel Tower--but then you look at the menu and it's a mix of both European desserts and Asian chè-style options. It's an interesting blend that kind of works, even if it takes a second to figure out what the "theme" is supposed to be. They offer a wide range of desserts and drinks. On one side, you've got items like tartufo (chocolate, cappuccino, limoncello, pistachio), sorbets, and cheesecake slices in the display case. On the other side, they have traditional Vietnamese-style desserts like sweet soups (chè), grass jelly, black-eyed bean pudding, and combo desserts with things like cassava, jelly, and coconut. There's also a solid drink menu with milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and specialty coffees. I ordered the latte with matcha foam, and while I don't usually go for sweet drinks, this one was definitely on the sweeter side--but still really good. The matcha foam added a nice earthy balance to the coffee underneath. My friend got the three-color iced drink (the one with layered beans and jelly), and if you're into that texture and flavor profile, you'd probably enjoy it. The service stood out. The man helping us (possibly the owner) was very friendly, patient, and took the time to explain menu items, which I appreciated since some of the desserts aren't as familiar if you haven't had them before. The display case also looked well-stocked and clean, with everything neatly packaged and labeled, which made it easy to browse. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're in the area and want something a little different from the usual dessert shops. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars is because the concept feels slightly all over the place, but the quality, variety, and service definitely make it worth checking out.
