    Dry Chicken dinner
    Loren R.

It was a little cold in there. Medium greeting at the entrance. iPad menu. ( I prefer a paper one. ) yet the iPad had pictures of each entrée I like that but the iPads looked beat up and I was afraid to touch them because I figured they've never been washed and if it also been touching them I set up the bar and had a Cabernet. It was good. I wanted a seafood meal, but they're out of fish So I had a chicken entrée Presentation was fantastic cooking and method was fantastic, but it was a bit dry Friendly service mediocre food a little cold. I Expected better will I come again if I'm staying in the hotel yes if I'm out and about? No.

While on the second day of a leader summit, we stopped to check out Sabor. Located on the ground floor of the Paseo del Norte Hotel, we found it much easier to get into this one...but the reservation helped out. Compared to Ambar, down the street it was less busy. We were seated, and served water to begin with. Our server, Mario was friendly, and took our drink and lunch orders. The menu items and pictures of those items were available on digital pars We started off with some queso fundido. The queso was good, but a tad bit watery towards the end For lunch I went with the Hatch burger, which was a two patty cheese, hatch green chilies, and it really good and very filling. The tacos looked good. Liz chose the three shrimp tacos plate, which came with a side of green chile rice. It did not last long on her plate. Unlike many of the other locations downtown this place did not have much on the non-alcoholic drink menu, and did not have a lunch menu or special, or discount for military. I would try this location again, sans the uniform.

I came to Sabor on the recommendation of friends. I thought the food was excellent. The short rib enchiladas were delicious. They appeared small on the platter, but were very filling. I absolutely loved the plantains as a side dish. Almost like a dessert, I'd go there again just for the plantains. Fried with some sort of cream lime sauce, a delightful change from the standard rice and beans for sides. The guacamole was super fresh. When I'm in town again, I would definitely go to Sabor again.

After a long day of hiking we were thrilled to have such a great place to eat at our hotel. The seating is cozy and the decor is beautiful. Our waitress was so sweet! We had the quesadillas, nachos, and fish tacos. All were amazing and full of fresh and high quality ingredients. I had a pineapple, cucumber mojito that was light and fresh, just delicious!

    French toast and breakfast potatoes

Nice little spot located in the Hotel Paso Del Norte. Went for breakfast on a Tuesday morning so it was pretty quiet but the staff was very friendly. My server Alijan was great! I ordered the french toast and potatoes and both were delicious. She was nice enough to bring me some extra condiments to try with my meal. Would come back next time I stay here!

Quiet bar during the week at lunch time but a beautiful hotel restaurant. Friendly staff with great food.

Food is excellent and delicious. Great customer service. I always look forward to come back when I'm in El Paso to eat here. Nice atmosphere and decor

    My $18 two birria tacos

Eh. Honestly, just eh. And for the price it shouldn't be. Took a crazy long time to get menus because they are on ipads. Then one of the two our four top was given was dead. Service was just slow despite it not being busy. And the portion sizes are small for the price. I got two birria tacos with beans for $18 but I have had better ones from a food truck for a quarter of the price. Tacos, a shrimp dish, regular burger and kids burger was over $100.

    Pepino Fresco drink

We stopped by this place as it was conveniently located across from the Plaza Theater which we had tickets to a show. My boyfriend had the Arrachera w/charro beans and he liked it. I had the Baja Tacos with fried fish and the rice (green) and they were delicious! I had the Pepino Fresco drink and it was okay, tasted more like mint than cucumber. The ambiance is nice, the waitress was good, the food was served fast. Overall it was good, we'd consider returning if in the area.

Sit at a bar unless you have a reservation while entire area is empty for hours.

Came in for the brunch buffet. I was told there'd be a long wait since I didn't have a reservation unless I sat at the high tables. I was there for about an hour and not one person came in to the entire area w empty tables. I go up to go look into the containers and look around. There are 2 employees standing around, doing nothing, not acknowledging me, they wait till I open each container to find nothing in then and they finally say, "we'll have the food out asap". I go to the center side and do the same for the same people to tell me the same thing. Why not just tell me you aren't ready before I have to look under each empty container? These people have no sense of awareness or customer need anticipation. Further more, the food was mediocre at best, cold and flavorless. Each time I stay at this hotel I have a worst experience than the last time.

Food was good! I tried their Smashburger- it was good and juicy, had a great sauce. The French fries were soft yet browned and welled cooked. I shared the grilled chicken with cheese on a bed of and succotash- it was SUPERB! The cheddar grits is a must have! The wine was Good-( a little pricey). Will come back!

The food here was excellent. I was a little hesitant because the yelp reviews aren't very good, but we had a great time. It probably helps that our family members were tourists visiting here from the Midwest. :) the server Juan Pablo was so friendly and attentive. He even brought out a cake for my fiancé who just graduated from medical school. It's in a nice hotel so the ambiance is very nice and clean. Enjoyed the visit for sure. The only problem I had was the tablet, we were just given a tablet and didn't know how we were supposed to use it until the server informed us how to. It took us a good 15 minutes wondering why we were using a tablet lol

Good food, service and ambiance. However, $50 per person for the buffet was a bit too much for all that.

I kept it classic with waffles, bacon, and eggs--and it absolutely hit the mark. The waffles were light, fluffy, and perfectly golden, the bacon was cooked just right, and everything came out fresh and satisfying. Simple comfort food done right. But what really elevated the experience was the atmosphere. They had live musical entertainment by Louie, who was incredible. He played a mix of hits from yesterday and today, moving effortlessly between country & western, contemporary favorites, and traditional Spanish songs. His versatility created a warm, lively environment that both staff and customers clearly enjoyed--it added something special you don't find everywhere. Service was just as impressive. Our server, XAY, had a bright, welcoming smile and provided outstanding service from start to finish. They offered great suggestions on local favorites and specials, which made the experience feel personal rather than routine. The vibe overall is relaxed, inviting, and very "El Paso"--a place where you can sit, enjoy your meal, and stay a while. Overall: Delicious, well-executed brunch classics Live music that enhances the experience (not overwhelms it) Exceptional, friendly service Comfortable, welcoming atmosphere Would I go back? Without a doubt. This is more than just brunch--it's an experience.

I arrived just after 8:30 am, but there was plenty of room. I got seated at the bar, and got to see everything. I asked for coffee, and it came quick and hot. Then i took a look at the menu, but the nice thing about the bar is that you can see everything that was ordered get prepped. I ordered a pozole rojo. It was a good choice, according to me... it was a lot of food. It came with a slice of toasted and buttered bolillo bread. It was loaded with more pork, than hominy - a lot. The server came by to ask if I needed a box. The Junction is a diner, with a railroad ambiance. Plenty of train station themes, I think there were a lot of clocks on the wall - but I don't think that they were working... or that they were on time. I noticed a couple of plates that I would want to try... the chicken fried steak, the biscuits and gravy with fried eggs on top, peach cobber side, the fresh biscuit with chipotle butter. It all looked good. The breakfast tacos seemed basic, but a lot of folks ordered them - they must know. There is seating inside, table and bar, and outside under the shade. I saw enough that I would return with Liz (...and the kids). I recommend, but I do recommend getting there early. It's a popular locale.

I really looked forward to this place and wanted to like it but the service just dimmed the meal. We went for a graduation celebration and did not feel that. I do acknowledge that we show up quite late since the graduation ended late. We placed our orders right before the kitchen closed. Throughout the meal, we were not offered extra bread, a dessert menu, or even a mere "Congratulations" from our server. A kind gentleman who seemed like the chef did come to check on the food and congratulate us. He seemed to actually care about the guests. Walking in, there was a cool flower art installation hanging over the tables, which was a really unique touch and probably one of the more memorable parts of the space. That said, the overall vibe felt a little bland and didn't quite match the hype we were expecting. Food-wise, the experience was a bit mixed. We ordered a ribeye, but it unfortunately came out pretty cold. We let our server know and he did take it back so the kitchen could warm it up, which we appreciated. The table bread that came out was also on the dry side and not very impressive. The spicy margarita ended up being one of the better parts of the meal. It wasn't actually on the menu, but they made one for us and it was really good. We also ordered fries, which were solid, and the bone marrow (called "Mexican butter") was easily the highlight! It sauce that it came with! 10/10 It was rich, flavorful, and definitely the best thing we tried. ‼One quick heads-up for anyone visiting: there's a nail sticking out of the handrail going down the stairs to the bathroom, so just be careful grabbing the railing on the way down.‼ Overall, there were a couple good items, but the experience felt a little underwhelming compared to the expectations from the reviews. Maybe it was just an off night.

For starters the atmosphere was so cute. Absolutely loved the bar and hanging pots everywhere. Such a clean restaurant and cute vibe. Our waitress was very nice and friendly to us. So no issues there! For drinks I got their berry lemonade which tasted just like lemon juice. I had to request for sugar to be added since it was so sour so beware. My food had came out and to be honest I'm just a little bit disappointed. The rigatoni was cooked but the sauce for it was really not tasty? Like there was almost not a flavor I can taste. Of course there was something but it was very plain and barely even there. It also was not spicy whatsoever. I added grilled chicken too and oh boy was that dry dry DRY. The burrata personally I'm not a fan in general so of course I wouldn't be a fan this time either but they gave a nice little plate full of it. They added some oiled toasted bread and it was way too crispy in my opinion. My partner got the chicken Parmesan and his dish tasted great! Very juicy chicken and cooked all the way. The sauce was perfect too nice and flavorful and great pairing with the chicken. His butter noodles were just like regular butter noodles so not bad. Finally the crème brûlée. Probably the most disappointing dish we ordered. It took repeated stabs to break the sugar glaze on top. Me and my partner were honestly thinking that they added the cream on top to hide how burnt it was actually. Unfortunately because the glaze was so thick and burnt it made the rest of the cream taste have the burnt flavor. It was sad because my partner was looking forward to this desert. Also took wayyy longer to arrive than our entrées. I will say that the waitress was very helpful and she actually covered the crème Brulé. I didn't even ask she just offered, I think she could tell that we didn't enjoy it and I had nicely told her it wasn't what we were expecting so thank you sincerely. Overall I think this is a perfect spot to maybe try drinks and hang with friends. Food was okay, wouldn't try it again in that regard but overall a decent spot here in El Paso if you're looking for something new. Maybe best to ask what's their best dish to serve. Overall thank you.
