Delicious! Order the whole red snapper (Pargo) and an order of Honduran taco and order of Mexican tacos. I will have to go back and try some mixed drinks - I noticed they have several Honduran liquor options. Honduran tacos were reminiscent of taquitos w chicken inside. I absolutely loved the fresh slaw that came w everything. Whole fish came w rice and beans. I also loved they have 3 rice options, rice and beans also had chopped veggies in it. The Mexican rice also had veggies in it and everything was well seasoned. I do believe my friends who don't do spicy food would be safe eating here. I would order through the apps or have a Spanish speaking friend if you're calling in an order. Everyone was super friendly, I'll be back.

Met a group of friends tonight for dinner. I wanted one of everything on the menu, and by the time I was done I had two appetizers and entrees ordered. Eeek. I ordered the Plátano Hondureño, Tamalito de Elote, Costillas de Res, and Pollo Asado. I shared the plantains and one of the tamales, the asado came home for my niece. BUT, everything we had at our table was very flavorful. The staff were amazing! And worked well with all of us who struggle with rolling our "R's" and remembering what our choices were when the food is delivered. Great night out. Great food. Love exploring hidden gems. The dinning area is laid out well, our group of twelve were back to the side so able to visit without being crowded.

Food 3/5: I'd recommend the Pargo Rojo ( pan fried whole red snapper) on a bed of banana chips served along with salad, rice and bean. Fish was quite small but I liked the texture and it was flavorful. Wings were coated with too much flour made them hard to eat. Pollo con tajadas was saucy and but the fried chicken failed me again. I also really liked the guanábana drink here - must try! I wanted to try maracuya (passion fruit) drink but they didn't have it that day. I'd come back for the maracuya, red snapper and their Sunday's signature dish Sopas de mariscos con coco. Service 5/5: friendly, fast and attentive Ambiance 5/5: casual atmosphere, fun vibe

Authentic Mexican restaurant. Be sure to check out the menu before going as it could be a challenge to choose. I went for lunch so I ended up with their carne asada tacos. Flavor was unreal and would come back for the street tacos. Great service!

This is an unassuming spot (and a bit hard to find, sign is on the building). I got the bistek meal with a side of plantains. I really liked the plantains and rice and beans. The flavor of the steak was good but it was very tough. My friend got carne asada and said it was tender. It was fun to try new food and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

This might be my 5 or 6 times here. It is right around Dorset and 270 next to the business area. I never had bad food. We tried the chicken, steak, pork steak, fried snapper, etc. we always saw many people from Latin America which means the food is authentic. The price is very acceptable and they give you a lot! Huge plate! My favorite side dish is fried plantain chips! Ask them put the sauce on the side so they do not get soggy. They also have a small area selling snacks- I can't read anything. Service is fast, food is so fresh. Since it was Wednesday , not many people - maybe 6 tables and a few take outs. This is a family owned small business and I love it!

Such a treat to stumble on sabor k tracho restaurant. It's really busy on a Sunday. It tells this is authentic when almost all customers are from Mexico / S America. The ambience is very casual. Service is quite slow upon our visit. The Sunday special is lobster seafood soup. It's completely packed with seafood, bread fruit and corns. Can't get better than this! The red snapper dish is really good as well. It's served with plantains and rice. The flavor is so amazing.

Amazing food! The restaurant was not too busy during lunch time on a Monday. Service was very prompt and friendly, and food came out not too long after ordering, piping hot. I really love the freshness of the slaw that appears in some of their dishes, like the pastelitos. The pollo con Tajadas is a sight to behold and very comforting. There is enough food for leftovers to enjoy later as well. The restaurant is very clean and has a welcoming, vibrant feel. Definitely worth checking out!

Run don't walk! This place is truly incredible! I remember reading about this restaurant in Sauce Magazine over a year ago and was intrigued because I had never had Honduran cuisine before. Today, I arrived at about a quarter after and was the first person in the restaurant. As to not take up space, I chose to sit at the bar. I was immediately greeted with water and she let me look over the menu. Right away, I noticed they had different colored juices and then all of a sudden I had a sudden craving for passion fruit juice! On a whim, I asked to see the drink menu and chose to get a passion fruit margarita. I purposely skipped breakfast because I knew I'd be coming here, but while still wanting to keep on the healthy side, I chose the Desayuno Hondureno. After a few minutes, my drink was ready. It tasted even better than expected but let's be honest, can you really go wrong with anything passion fruit? I sipped that while looking around. It seems like this a restaurant and also a store, since I noticed there were little things for sale to the right of where I was sitting at the bar. Speaking of the bar, I think it was freshly done, or at least it smelled that way. Moving on to the meal... It came out in a good amount of time and the presentation was everything; simple, yet clean. While I noticed quite a few salt shakers, I didn't see any pepper. I asked for some pepper and she looked confused. I was about to pull out google translate but then she understood and said they didn't have any pepper! I was shook, more so because I couldn't believe a restaurant wouldn't have pepper. Not the end of the world but def. caught me by surprise. I did what I could with the salt for my eggs and went to town. The eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy. The steak was a smidge tough In a couple places but so flavorful and well-seasoned. The chimichurri on top was an added bonus. The maduros were some of the best I've ever had; Not too oily, perfect crisp and oh, so good! Since they don't allow substitutions, I got a side of rice and vegetables since I didn't want the refried beans that came w/ the dish. I couldn't remember why I don't like refried beans but I ended up trying them and they weren't bad! The rice and vegetables were good, too! I cleared majority of what was on my plate with the exception of two maduros. I then asked for the check and gave her my card. While waiting for it to be ran, I asked her about the other two juices that were next to the passion fruit, She said the brown one was tamarind (which I had never had) and the other was blackberry. She was kind enough to let me sample both and let me sample them in some of the coolest shot glasses I've ever seen. Both juices were delicious! I told her this was my first time here and she made recommendations for next time. From the price of the food, to the service, to the food itself, everything was a 5 out of 5. I'm already wondering when I can come back!

    Pollo cena
    Steven R.

I learned about this restaurant from Yelp. The first thing I noticed is that my wife and I were the only white Americans there. That means that the food is authentic. I had the Pollo Cena and it was delicious. It is a fried chicken leg on a bed of fried plantain. I felt like I was in Honduras but the food was better here. The service was prompt and positive. L

I've never had Honduran food before, so I thought I'd give it a try. We went on a Sunday night and it was packed with families. There were multiple TVs with sports playing, as well as a stocked bar area. One thing I noticed is that the portion size for each dish is pretty big. The food also takes a little while to come out but it's totally worth it to know it's being cooked fresh. I ordered the Pollo con Tajadas and absolutely loved it! It's fried chicken over a bed of fried plantains with a savory sauce and pickled onions to balance out all the flavors. My friend ordered the seafood soup which is a Sunday special and it had a delicious coconut broth. I'll definitely come back on a Sunday just for that soup! I was also able to try a couple bites of the carne asada, which was also a yummy dish.

This felt like a little piece of home! We walked in and the restaurant was beautiful decorated and our waitress was extremely attentive. We ordered the fried fish and the yuca con chicharron and the portions were incredibly generous. Everything was delicious! It's a bit of drive from St. Louis but it was worth it and we will be back!

So glad they have this new location! The service is fast and easy parking. Very much Honduran atmosphere which I love! The most important part the food! Very good! I'm critical because I am Honduran. El pollo con tajadas was very good but just needs less pickled onions and the adereso needs just a little more flavor. But overall delicious! Desayuno Hondureño was perfect! The baleadas was my issue. Literally hardly any beans. All I could taste was the cheese and too thin. I do wish they would serve fountain drinks more options please. Overall a great place and will definitely be going back again and again.

Inside, it's simple, comfortable, and exactly what you hope for when you're searching for an authentic hidden gem. No gimmicks. No over-designed decor. Just the hum of conversation, plates coming out of the kitchen, and a dining room filled with people who clearly know they've found a place to break bread. Er-- tortillas. I ordered the Pollo a la Plancha, and it was outstanding. Grilled chicken served with perfectly seasoned vegetables, fluffy and flavorful Mexican rice, and warm corn tortillas. I asked them to hold the melted cheese (because dairy and I are currently in a complicated relationship), and it was still one of the best gluten-free meals I've had in a long time. Fresh, satisfying, and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the Norteño tacos, which arrived piled high with toppings and absolutely loaded with flavor. And yes, they come with fries. I had never seen this combination before, but I can confirm it is life-changing. He enjoyed every bite. Before the main meal even arrived, we were hooked by the complimentary chips, salsa, and a bright green crema that came with a serious kick. Spicy enough to get your attention, but so good you keep going back for more. This is the kind of restaurant you almost don't want to tell people about because it feels like a secret. But places this good deserve to be celebrated. Authentic food, generous portions, warm service, and the unmistakable feeling that you've stumbled onto something special. Five stars without hesitation.
