1st time here in LA so we chose an authentic place to eat. Very homey, clean, little restaurant in a small strip. Looks dirty on the outside but inside it is clean. Good service but only one person handling the customers and cooking food. Comfy feeling with casual ambiance. Ordered the huevos con chorizo and everything was wonderful. The flour tortillas are huge and delicious. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place, the menu had something for everyone. They make their own horchata which is really good.

I am not quite sure what the hype is about for this place. Everyone said that the place is good, we came after we went to a hike by the Hollywood sign, hoping for the hype to be there. the place was empty, the parking lot is small and shared with a lot of businesses and its in the middle of Hollywood so street parking is even more impossible. we luckily found parking, but this place the food was pricy for LA Mexican food, and it wasn't even that good. i'd say that the beans weren't cooked all the way, the chicken seems a bit old, and the waiters did not speak English and they were out of some stuff on the menu? it was middle of weekend at around 10a, so i was slightly confused. there is no bathroom for dine in, and also some items they have do not have price, and it would be easier if the waiter did speak English bc i was trying to ask about the other stuff and he was not able to answer and said sorry. overall, food isn't great or fresh for that fact, no bathroom, and pricy. would not come back not sure if they were better back then? but this was a miss

Ufff! food was so delicious! Really authentic; Concepcion worked by herself and made it quick, presentable and so tasty. Thank you for an amazing dinner def recommend! Oh and can't beat the price, we gave her $100 for a tab of 82.00 including tax.

This restaurant is in the middle of a plaza that is pretty busy. I love the vibrant colors inside, the staff was accommodating and friendly & food portions were huge!! I was not expecting that. My friend got a Carne Asada burrito and she said that the Carne Asada was a bit tough to eat. I got Chilaquiles with a side of rice and beans, which you have to pay for separately. It was really good, but it's such a huge portion that I believe you could share it with someone else.

The best of the very best and I can go on an on. You all need to come!! I came with my brother and we devoured our breakfast! We were so happy with the service that Jorge gave - he took our order and made our food and attended the others - he's truly the best and we are definitely going to come back and try the mole he told us is also amazing! I'm a big fan of mole so I'm coming back very soon!

Great service here. Torta was delicious, full of flavor ! Potatoes were good too the salsa was spicy but that's why I asked for it very chill Hispanic music it wasn't too much or too loud I was able to enjoy my food and had a great experience.

Very friendly and welcoming and delicious food! Everything was made fresh and had a ton a flavor. Found this place because of the good reviews. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

At first, I was a bit hesitant about this place but upon going inside I felt like I was in Mexico again. Specifically CDMX. We were greeted in Spanish probably because the waiter thought I was Spanish of which I was flattered because it forced me to speak Spanish. Food: The food was amazing! My boyfriend and I ordered a carnitas plate to share and our friend ordered the two chicken tacos which had a great medley of veggies and meat. TLDR: THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Definitely underrated. Food, Service, Simple vibes that feels like a casual restaurant in CDMX.

The food was amazing. The service was great and the ambiance was pretty. But just add bathrooms for the people.

The veggies were cut too large and were rough. The soup tasted like oranges

So damn great. Worth the wait. Truly. One of the best, if not, best torta I've ever had. Can't wait to go again.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

All dishes were shareable and there were certainly some remarkable ones. Starting with my most favorite the ceviche bites (I can't tell you exactly what it's called on the menu, but it was one bite that left you enticed for more!) if you like fish, certainly a must. My second favorite, the roasted rainbow carrots (the salsa macha was palatable all by itself!!). Third favorite, grilled chicken (again, not sure the name on the menu but, it was so juicy and perfect with the housemade tortillas). Other menu goodies, the steak (ribeye bites) tortillas with salsa/guacamole, carnitas (looked good), cactus appetizer, and cheese (and cactus?) quesadilla. Unfortunately, I think the menu was somewhat curated for the private party but I CERTAINLY think it's worth exploring. A lively atmosphere to add to it all!

The building is an original piece of the City's history, boasting a menu that features their famous burritos that vary in size from a regular to a huge party size beast that can feed several. I tried the Hollenbeck and the Okie burritos on two separate occasions via pick up, as aforementioned, the service was quick, convenient and the pick up window is seamless, parking is located next to the structure and I haven't had problems getting there. Hollenbeck was good but I definitely enjoyed the Okie burrito more, I ordered the "original" size once and didn't seem to learn my lesson the second time, these burritos can feed two in Original size. They offer a "Mini" version which would be satisfactory for one person. My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.
