It's in a little strip mall with the tiniest of parking lots. I've been coming to this place for since 2008. It's comfort food. A long time ago they won some award for their tortillas, I think. It's been a long time. My go to has been the carne asada nachos. They remind me of the nachos is grew up with and the places that served them in the OC when I was going to CSUF. Home made tortilla chips slathered with beans, real cheese, tons of meat... you know the drill. I did break away from my normal routine. I partook in the machaca breakfast burrito. It was fantastic and bursting in the seams. It had rice, fluffy eggs, some guacamole, sour cream, onions, and tender machaca beef. The employees were friendly and just great. They gave me two servings of hot sauce, which is greatly appreciated. Who doesn't love hot sauce. The burrito came with complimentary chips which helped me scoop the heap of goodies falling out of the burrito. The indoor seating area is small. They do have an outdoor seating area, but you will have to brave the weather. There's more parking on street and the neighborhood, but pay attention to signs. read more

It's a low key restaurant which serves delicious Mexican food. Their burritos, enchiladas, tacos - all vegetarian or non-vegetarian were filling and delicious. The salsa sides were also great. There is also a bloom coffee shop in the same block which serves the best creamy coffee. Highly recommend checking this out for a good filling Mexican meal. read more

Had takeout from Tere's and wasn't quite sure what to order and settled on an a la carte Carne Asada Taco and a la carte order of empanadas. Thought the empanadas would be small, but holy crap these were on steroids and it turned into way too much food. Empanadas dough was delightfully crispy without being too greasy. It comes filled with chorizo and potato. I could have used a little more seasoning in the filling? Or some sort of spicy or garlic dipping sauce. Still good, although the size of them makes me hesitant to go that route in the future. An asada taco is kind of the measuring stick to Jge a New Mexican place. Great size on the taco. Tortilla fell apart a bit from the weight of the meat, but then again, most tacos do. I was worried that it would be a little dry inside, but once again wrong. That taco sauce was hidden inside and packed some heat in the best way. Will definitely get tacos again! read more

I usually order take out with the family when we're in the area. This time around I ordered the breakfast machaca burrito. I'm disappointed to say that I could not find any machaca halfway through my meal. For almost $20 to only get beans, rice and eggs....complete disappointment. Solid excellent Mexican fare. Really enjoyed the enchiladas (beef and fish), my son had the fish enchiladas and loved them as well. My daughter had the asada quesadilla and said great 4 stars!. Tere's is a small storefront in a small strip mall. Parking is easy. The Website does not show photos of this one. There are a few others that are very pretty and bigger. This is not that. This one is not pretty and it is sort of dumpy. But it is spotless and it is great. We like this one the best. You go to the counter to order and have a seat, there are not a lot. They brought us our food, I don't know if they always do that. I think this place does a lot of take away and delivery. The menu is on the wall and they have quite a few things you won't find at a typical Mexican restaurant. The service is super nice. I had a hard time reading the board (forgot glasses) and they were there to help. They also were so nice when they brought our food. It was exactly as ordered and hot. The food is great. We loved all of it. The Nachos are great and if you order a side of guacamole it is a huge serving and great. Their burritos are super as our their enchiladas. All the fish dishes are very good and very fresh. You will love this little hole in the wall. It is wonderful. read more

Everyone where I work absolutely loves Tere's. And I'm just going to be the one to say it, I thought it was really good, I didn't think it was great. It's a local taco joint, you probably wouldn't even notice it as you were driving by. But, as I said, it's very good, and definitely worth coming by and trying at some point. First off, they have a huge menu. So any item you can think of they're going to have. I ordered a torta. And, it was not the best torta I've ever had, but it was very good. The chips were also very good. And everyone else loved what they got too. There's a little bit of seating inside ( but not a lot), And then there's some additional seating outside. Some other things that bring this location down, is that there's very little parking due to where it's located. So you might have to walk a little bit to get to the restaurant. Please don't misunderstand me, I thought Tere's was very good. But it's not the best taco joint in the neighborhood (much less the city) and with some of the issues with parking I'm going to rate this as four stars read more

For some reason I was on a quest for a good breakfast burrito-something simple that wasn't overly complicated (or expensive.) A simple, solid, working class burrito. Tere's was the closest to me so I decided to head on over there. I decided to go with their chorizo burrito and instead of a juice got an Jarritos. The food is made to order so it does take a little bit of time. I decided to sit on their patio and dine-in. My burrito was small, I was picturing a large mission-style burrito but what I got was probably a similar to two tacos kind of put together (size wise.) I'm glad I got the chorizo though because it added a spicy, earthy, savory element to the burrito. I'll say it was gone to fast though, I think being hungry it definitely felt smaller than it looked. Was super excited to try this place, especially because of the amazing reviews, but was pretty disappointed in my order. Maybe I didn't order the right items? Carne asada torta 4/10 - mostly bread, carne asada was a bit dry and surprisingly 0 flavor. Used the salsas that it came with to help but they also had no flavor. One was a pico de gallo, but it was just really blended up tomatoes and the other was I believe the spicy salsa which wasn't spicy and didn't have much flavor. Used hot sauces and condiments that I had at home instead. Chicken mole enchiladas 6.5/10 - assumed it was the typical black mole made with chocolate, but it was a red mole which tastes vastly different. I wish that was noted on the menu. It could've been a red enchilada sauce and I wouldn't have known the difference. Rice was nice, beans a bit watery and it was stuffed with a decent amount of shredded chicken. I can't believe I lived so close to this place and didn't realize it for so long! I've been here twice so far and gotten the carne asada nachos. These are the nachos you want! The chip is thick and crispy, the toppings are loaded (but not a crazy amount where you run out of chips), the meat is flavorful and abundantly distributed! They're perfect!! The prices are pretty good not super cheap but you're getting really good quality food. The restaurant itself is for sure a to go place, they have a couple of tables but it's not really a sit down spot so great if you live in the neighborhood. The service is great everyone in there is friendly and they get the food out pretty quickly considering how busy they are. For sure come here!! It's what you want!! read more

I ordered the Asada Torta with a Mexican Coke. The asada was really good. The bread was soft and toasted. Lettuce, mayo, tomato, guacamole and salsa made it taste even better! Would definitely recommend. My cousin ordered the Mole Chicken Enchilada plate. It came with rice and beans. Chicken was juicy. She questioned the mole a bit but truth be told everyone has their own way of making mole. The gentlemen who helped us were very nice. We sat in the outdoor patio. I've driven by and have been hearing how amazing Tere's is for YEARS! With the limited options during the Safer at Home order for Mexican, I tried Tere's via Postmates delivery and wow, the chicken burrito was delish! I also got pico de gallo -- which is a must for me -- with a side of spanish rice which is so flavorful. So much so, i got it again two days later and a few times after that! My favorite flavor is the Chicken tinga, which is a shredded chicken in a tomato sauce that adds a pop of flavor. I've had it in a Burrito, tacos and tostada which is huge -- I split it for leftovers! The pork burrito is good too, but I have to get the tinga now. Pico - a must must must. I look forward to being able to dine in. Wow I've been sleeping on this place! Not realizing it was a chain til more recently but it was a solid choice for my breakfast burrito craving! They have a long list of what seems to be delicious choices. Because it is so close and because I enjoyed it I will definitely be back. I will mention that the prices are a bit on the pricier end, but I believe you are paying for this in quality. You can dine in and out and the service was fine, nothing much to comment on they were just providing straightforward service. The ambiance is unassuming as well.
