Olden Flatbread with Sweet Sausage

I have been loving Sabrina's for a couple of months now. They have amazing food at quality price. The sauce is not overbearing but sweet. I loved the flatbread Izzy, margarita pizza, grilled salad and calamari. I have yet to eat at Sabrina's the restaurant but I will update that exp

Sabrina's Pizza took me by surprise. I mean, I knew it was there, but I never considered checking it out until very recently. Now, I've had lunch there twice in one week, and it could easily become one of my regular stops for tomato pie or other midday meal. Hamilton has dozens of decent small Italian joints that put out the standard fare, and it takes a lot of tasting to distinguish them from each other. Eventually, the better shops emerge above the rest and the circle of good restaurants finally closes. If embarrassment of riches makes any sense for pizza parlors, this part of the world has it. That doesn't mean that other cities don't do it as well or maybe better (You know who you are). Still, I have come to appreciate the richness of the pizza/tomato pie tradition around here. What about the food, you ask? The Eggplant Parm Sandwich I had a few days ago was thin sliced, fine ground bread crumb coating and individually olive oil sautéed purple nightshade, placed in a fresh torpedo and topped with plenty of mozza cheese and a chunky tomato gravy. Totally a knife and fork experience. With an iced tea, it comes in at just under ten bucks. Today's bar pie size Tomato Pie with Italian Sweet Sausage was even better. It arrived in the hands of the owner/chef on a large ceramic plate, all steamy - a cloud of garlic infused vapors fogging my glasses and attacking my senses. The crust was firm and crunchy, and even with the extra load of lumpy gravy and ground meat, managed to hold a firm point through most of the meal. It was excellent and really tasted like it was made in Nonna's kitchen. If there is anything to pic a nit about it would be that the pie might have been even better with a little less on top. The tomato sauce was so chunky that it remained moist on the finished disk and as it cooled and released it water condensate, the remaining slices softened and weakened its ability to hold its load. There was actually a bit of water left over as the pie was consumed, and it lost its crunch. Sometimes, less is more.

I was always under the assumption Pizza was like sex even when it's bad it's still kinda good. I WAS WRONG. I FINALLY FOUND BAD PIZZA.

A nice size and tasted fresh and hot. The only thing I didn't like was that the bread seemed to have been toasted with butter. I can do without the extra fat so it's something I have to remember to mention when I visit this establishment again. It doesn't take away from the rating, but worth mentioning and if you like to watch your fat intake. I prefer bacon so I rather cut back on the buttered toasted bread. The place was also clean so overall a good experience. I hope that others that are closer to me are as good as well.

Service is quick and efficient. Staff are helpful. Vibes were my favorite part of the experience--musical throw backs to songs from 2015 were the jam. Light rock, pop songs, all the good high school jams that took me back. We got Double BBQ Bacon Char, double cheeseburger, Sweet Potato Fries, fries, onion rings and fried string beans. Food was decidedly mediocre and nothing to ever return for. Burgers are low quality--super dry and tasteless meat. Zero flavor. You need a ton of trimmings to make it palatable. Regular double cheeseburger was a miss. Double bbq char burger was a tiny bit better thanks to the bacon and fried onions that gave the sad burger some texture and flavor. The bun added nothing, so I'd skip it and get the lettuce wrap instead. Regular Fries were soggy and bland. Skip. Sweet potato fries were the highlight of the meal in terms of quality--super light and not at all greasy. Pleasant surprise. I'd order them again. Fried string beans were meh. Too much batter.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure every customer was taken care of. The food, though, was the real star. The burger was cooked perfectly--juicy, flavorful, and made fresh to order. You can taste the quality in every bite. The toppings were crisp, the bun was soft yet held everything together, and the overall balance was spot on. The sides didn't disappoint either--the fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned just right. What really stood out, however, was the consistency and attention to detail. Even during a busy time, the team kept things moving efficiently without sacrificing quality or service. The restaurant itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Under the watchful eye of Mike, Manny, and Gianna, it's clear that this location takes pride in what they do. If you're in the Hamilton area and looking for a great burger experience, run don't walk, this spot is absolutely worth the visit. I'll definitely be coming back. The chicken breast was fried just right. Crispy on the outside. Juicy inside. No mystery. Pepper jack cheese melted the way cheese is supposed to melt. Lettuce and tomato added texture and color so I could feel like I made a balanced decision. Jalapenos gave it a little kick. The chipotle sauce brought the whole thing together like a competent middle manager. It made sense and did its job without drawing attention to itself. The fries were there. That is the nicest thing I can say. Not bad but not good either. A little soft. A little tired. Like they had been up all night watching TV and just wanted to go home. But the food was ready fast. No drama. No confusion. Just a hot sandwich and some existential fries. I ate it. I felt a little better about the day. Four stars. Would do it again. I might skip the fries next time.

We ordered dinner for the family and tried several dishes so we could sample a bit of everything…read more There were a couple bright spots (the onion rings and ranch were excellent), but overall the meal fell short of expectations. Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich - This was the biggest disappointment. The chicken breast was extremely thick and had a grainy texture that made me wonder if it was chicken breast with rib meat. If that's the case, it gives the impression that quality isn't a priority. The breading also fell off with almost every bite, and the sandwich wasn't well proportioned (one oversized tomato slice that wasn't cut evenly). Most importantly, it didn't taste like Nashville hot at all -- more like "Nashville not." Shrimp Po' Boy - Below average. The shrimp had a slightly fishy taste, and the bread didn't resemble proper po' boy bread. The greens were a spring mix, which felt like an odd choice. Traditional shredded lettuce would have worked much better. I've had po' boys in Louisiana, and while I wasn't expecting complete authenticity, I was expecting something closer to the spirit of the dish. This version missed the mark. Smash Burger - Probably the best of the three mains we ordered, but still just average. I've honestly had better smash burgers at chains like Shake Shack. Sides: The fries were great. We ordered the beer cheese sauce, which was fine but not necessary. The onion rings were the standout -- perfectly crispy with a clean bite. The homemade ranch served with them was excellent. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more, but the food didn't deliver enough for me to return.

The beer cheese was not the best and the pork roll a bit too chunky didn't make a perfect bite. As always they rock the chicken sandwiches out of the park.
