    Pepperoni Pizza
    Mike P.

Ordered pizzas, wings, and a large salad for the family the other night to fuel us up for decorating the tree. Not sure if I've ordered wings from here before but I'll definitely get them again soon as they were excellent. Large wings and the buffalo sauce is delicious! They were slammed when we arrived to pick it up but the staff is super friendly and works very hard to ensure they take care of everyone and double check the orders before you leave to ensure everything is perfect. Not surprised they were slammed as the food is amazing every time we order from here. Pizzas were great and salad was plentiful and loaded with roasted peppers, olives, fresh mozzarella, and artichokes. Pizzas with toppings are always loaded up. See the pepperoni pizza photo for evidence of loaded toppings! Everything was delicious and perfect!!!

Some slices were even larger. This was a "small" cut from the pie

It goes without saying that times have changed in the past few weeks as COVID-19 makes its way across the world and tightens its grip on our nation. As of today, we have a federal government (one that Honest Abe would likely not characterize as being "for, of and by the people..." At least not ALL people, but I digress) that appears to be subtly regionalizing this horrible, global pandemic into a "New York" virus. One that will magically spare "real America" because our supreme leader/carnival barker/ now sociopath-in-chief is prematurely hellbent on "restarting the economy," human lives be damned. Let's end that rant, focus on the positive and segue into something that unites all: food! Mario and Frank's 2 fortunately remains open for take-out and delivery orders. Their social media invites anyone that may be experiencing hard times to reach out, they'll ensure you have something to eat. Restaurants are a notoriously tight-margin business, with a high failure rate even in good economic times. Witnessing the generosity of Mario & Frank's in hard times speaks to how they truly care about the community they serve, sometimes success is measured by more than money. They've been posting updates with daily dinner specials. Today's was a huge tray of either cheese ravioli or chicken parm, served with 12 delicious garlic knots, for $24.99. For what it's worth, surgical masks were worn by those behind the counter. We went with the ravioli, which was tasty as expected. The knots are always very garlicky, a must order. Can't go wrong with some much-needed comfort food right now, perhaps it's time to end this review and eat a little more! Good food is something that brings us all together. A lot of how we get through this comes down to simply doing the right thing and looking out for one another. I am proud to support a business that's doing just that!

Awesome lunch spot in Bordentown. Met a coworker here last week for lunch. Awesome pizza! I've never seen pizza like this. I had one piece with onion rings as a topping, and the other was cheese burger. Both were great. Wish I could have tried some more. Great service and the staff is very helpful and polite. It's not the fanciest place around, but the pizza is so good you won't care. I highly recommend and will be back again if I'm ever back in the area.

Homemade bread sandwiches, fries that somehow still taste delicious once cold, and the best pizza in central NJ. This location is is in my husbands hometown; he moved out of state 15 years ago, but anytime we come back we beeline for Mario & Franks. Our favorites, other than the obvious classic pizza, are the pork roll & cheese, turkey with provolone, (both on homemade bread) broccoli cheese bites, and Buffalo cheese fries. 20 years of ordering, and we have never been disappointed.

Visiting from NC and wanted some Good NJ pizza, we were Not disappointed! Serving sizes are massive, they were very prompt with delivery and quality left nothing to be desired. Had to try a cannoli aswell and from my Very Italian father "now that's authentic" highly recommend!

This is a tough review to write because in certain aspects Mario and Franks shines and others they fall short. For example, you won't find friendlier people behind the counter when you come in for takeout. You'll always be greeted with a smile and your order will always be right. If you order delivery they will come within 30 minutes or less and never mess up an order (I think they are at least 30 for 30 with our orders). The pizza can be inconsistent but never bad. We've had OMG pies and decent pies but nonetheless you can't go wrong. Also, they always have great coupons like buy 2 entrees and get one free. That includes soup or salad and a big order of pasta. Basically, we feed a family of 4 with plenty of leftovers for around $30. That's rare to find anywhere. The other night we bought a $30 voucher for $15 on local flavor.com for dine in only so we decided to eat local. The interior of the dining room looks like it hasn't been updated in 20 years but in an old school divey way we were cool with that. We ordered the special lobster ravioli which came with soup or salad and chose the salad with the house dressing. Also, we ordered the seafood special (mussels, clams, and shrimp over linguini) and opted for the soup of the day (Manhattan clam chowder). Their soups are always homemade which is a plus as was the clam chowder but it was served warm/cool and not hot. We also were given a bowl of fresh baked rolls (pizza dough) and a bowl of red sauce to dip. These were delicious. The lobster ravioli was not great and swimming in Alfredo sauce with a few shrimp. The seafood had a lot of fresh littleneck clams but frozen shrimp that weren't great and frozen mussels that came on the half shell. We learned going forward to stick with the basic standard Italian fare which they do very well as I strongly recommend you do too. The best part was that after the discount from our voucher the entire meat was $3! We will continue to patronize Mario and Franks on a regular basis and recommend them to friends with the disclaimer to stick with pizza and classic dishes

The pizza - dirty calm pie was good. The Italian chicken dish was a miss for us... tough chicken pieces and lacking flavor even though it had nice chucks of cut up vegetables. The lentil soup was adequate, it met base line flavor and presentation. I guess what locks and information is I noticed the population that's coming in. It's a much older crowd. Certainly the menu items are on the lower price side so it makes it affordable to go out. It's hard when you cook at home and you want to go out a couple nights a week at the weekend and for what we've been paying with inflation and the impact of tariffs we would expect a higher level of them when I'm putting out of my own kitchen. Again, a safe place a consistent place a busy place and if this is acceptable for you, then this is your go to.

We ordered some water along with mussels in red sauce, medium pizza with half onions. The mussels were very meaty with a delicious chunky tomato sauce. The pizza had a thin crust with more sauce than cheese, more of a tomato pie taste. It was okay but not the best ratio of tomato sauce to cheese. This place probably has a great tomato pie. I would definitely return just for the mussels alone. But if I ordered a pizza, I'd be a little more specific about its preparation.

They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. A showstopper with excellent crust and beef flavor. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. Tender as expected with a wonderfully executed crust. * French Bordeaux Wines: We ordered the Chateau Loudenne Medoc and the Chateau De Sales Pomerol. Both were tasty, medium-to-full-bodied, and served as excellent accompaniments to the steaks. * Tuna Special: Nicely seared tuna served over vegetables and udon noodles. * Limoncello Pistachio Tiramisu: Very light and a nice end to the meal. * Kentucky Butter Cake: Served in a cast-iron pot with vanilla ice cream. Yummy and rich.   THE SERVICE Our server, Gene, has been with the restaurant for 8 years and provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, pointing out standout options like the pastrami-dusted bone-in filet and the 45-day aged tomahawk topped with a root beer bourbon bacon compound butter.   OVERALL A great steakhouse experience with a highly professional staff and a kitchen that flawlessly executes high-quality steaks.
