What made the taco so special was the fresh melt-in-your-mouth blue corn tortilla! The spicy mezcal margarita was also so good (better than the pineapple one). And Christian provided great service! The ambiance was lovely to sit in their patio and enjoy the historic streets and buildings.

Taco Azul space looks small from the pictures on social media but it is perfectly sized and very cozy. Their ceiling lights have a fun pattern reminiscent of Bartaco. The restaurant gives very vibey vibes like the average Boston trendy taco spot. Moody lighting and those tiny lamp lights they put on the table. It was quite busy on a rainy weekday so I am very glad to have made a reservation. The server was great with getting to us when we arrived and checking on us initially. I think they made the chips in house and they were very thick but they didn't really stand out to me and the guac was very citrus sour. We didnt even finish it . It was wild cause it was like $16.99. The margaritas are not too sweet with the alcohol hidden within the mix. I would go just for these. The tacos were pretty good with baby tortillas. They were also quite messy and they didn't give you any utensils.... My favorite was the citrus or chipotle chicken, my friend and I both got chicken so I am honestly not sure. I finished off with the ice cream and the tiniest churro which was UBER sweet. This coming from a very very sweet oriented girlie.I would stick with tacos, drinks and maybe a cute little dessert! $$ Food 6.5 Atmosphere 7 Service 6.5 What we had Smokey pineapple margarita Guac and chips Beef birria taco Crispy shrimp taco Citrus chicken taco Chipotle chicken taco Pork carnitas Churro Sundae

A lot of people seemed to be getting the tacos or a torta. I got the steak quesadilla and it was fresh, only thing was it was a little cold and portion was a little small. I liked the pico inside it added good flavors, and the steak was good but it tasted more like a ground beef. My boyfriend got the plate with carnitas, he really enjoyed it. I wish I tried a torta as it looked really good, but next time! They also have locations in other cities--there's one in Medford too. They also do takeout and had a lot of people in and out picking up orders.

Yelp pointed me to this small (nothing fancy) Mexican spot, and on a rainy Sunday evening it felt like exactly the right choice. The "tucked -in" restaurant was quiet and welcoming. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas, and they absolutely hit the spot. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and well-balanced, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. My only criticism--and it's a significant one for me--is the use of aluminum serving containers. I realize some restaurants still use them, but I personally don't think food should be served in direct contact with aluminum in 2026 when so many other options are available. It was a noticeable disappointment and detracted a bit from an otherwise yummy experience.

I was eager to try a variety of tacos, though I was warned the tacos are quite small. It was a fair warning. I ordered 5 tacos, and expected to leave stuffed, but I was hungry again by 4:00pm. Eeeek. These are 3-bite tacos. Although small, I enjoyed the flavors of all the tacos I tasted. My favorites were the seafood varieties. 1) Baja fish - really crispy batter, creamy, spicy slaw 2) Yucatán shrimp - great texture, and spicy bean-like plantain puree. The pork belly was sweet, but a bit dry. In addition to the picked red onions, it could have used another saucy component. The carnitas and chorizo tacos were also good, but were less interesting for my palate. My five tacos were $20, without any sides or drinks. They have lots of shareable sides and appetizers, and I could easily drop a lot of $ filling up on their tasty bites while lingering in their lovely space.
