The office wasn't very clean and the staff was helpful but when the PA walked in with lap top on hand she totally disregarded the reason I was there. So she went on to ask questions about my medical history and family. For a good 30 min of being drilled she suggests a Covid shot, Shingles, Tetanus, Pneumonia and a referrals for bone density mammogram, colonoscopy etc. and the list goes on and on. I said to her that she was overwhelming me and I wanted to address the reason I was there. She continues to check my teeth and tell me I have a cracked crown WTH???? I wanted to run out from there finally I got her to request an injection for my allergies and she said "Any over the counter medications will do Claritin, Allegra Hives" to keep taking them. It was an awful and stressful visit I never met the doctor but she thought she was. I will not be returning to that office again. I thanked the ladies at the front desk for their help but beware walking past that door.

I came in for what should have been a simple follow-up: my HR department only needed an updated exemption form that my primary care physician had already completed in the past, connected to a heart valve leak that worsens under stress. Instead of reviewing my medical history carefully, Dr. Tong kept insisting he "didn't see anything" in my chart--even when I told him it was already linked in my patient portal and confirmed by my PCP. He dismissed the medication I take (which had just been confirmed by his own PA minutes before) and repeatedly implied that my condition wasn't real because he didn't see it in one set of notes. When I tried to explain, Dr. Tong minimized my concerns and spoke down to me. He even argued there was "no difference" between a 6-mile drive and a 60-mile commute, despite my documented anxiety diagnosis and heart condition. Rather than acknowledging he didn't have the full context, he chose to question and belittle me. The final straw was seeing the appointment summary later: he essentially admitted that my records were in the portal, but he personally didn't think it was enough to justify the exemption. If he had been upfront about that, I could have understood. Instead, he made me feel gaslit, disrespected, and completely dismissed as a patient.

They usually pick up the phone and immediately put you on hold before even greeting you. I'm then left on hold for over 30 minutes before I need to hang up out of frustration and need to try again. When I finally get through, I am then transferred to another department only to go through the same ordeal all over again. When I finally get through I am told that there is only one person answering phones and they are understaffed. HIRE MORE OFFICE STAFF! This happens on every call. Referral delays are another issue -especially when dealing with an urgent medical issue. Specialists I am referred to also complain about My Family Medical's delays. I am looking for another primary care provider. It is getting worse not better.
