Went here last night for a work happy hour. Decent and actually very good. The bartenders are so nice, and they took care of us really well. The happy hour starts at 5pm. I had two lychee martinis which are so good. Then we had shumai (vegetable and pork), crispy chicken wings, yucca fries, calamari which are surprisingly good, scallion pancakes and more. 1/9/25 Stopped by on a cold Thursday. Checked out the appealing lunch specials posted on the menu outside. I ordered the spicy Singapore Laksa Noodle lunch special. It came with a delicious salad. Sachi isn't bad by any means but it's just nothing special. It's your basic generic sushi or Asian spot and in a city full of impressive sushi it's hard to give this place a great score. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad by any means and the sushi is always decent, but it's just unimpressive and uninspiring . Service is good and friendly and I really don't think that there's anything negative in that department. Ambience is pretty basic. We went to Sachi Asian Bistro and had a great meal. This is an Asian fusion restaurant, so this is good choice when eating in groups. They also have these nice, comfy booths. Service was excellent throughout the meal. Definitely have a cocktail. I had the Galangal Sour, which was just the right sweetness for a bourbon cocktail. then I also tried the Lychee Martini which was excellent. Then later when ordering the plum wine, I was pleased to find a little plum in it. For appetizers we had the scallion pancakes and the duck spring rolls. The Scallion pancakes were good, if nothing special. The spring rolls though were wonderful, nice chunks of duck and then an excellent Hoisin sauce. For the main course, I split the pineapple/basil fried rice with shrimp and tropical mango sauce chicken. Both were great. The rice though was a little bit more my favorite, with nice delicious shrimp and a great flavor to the rice. The mango with the chicken was really good also, with nice fresh vegetables. On two separate visits a request for "Thai style hot" and "11 on the 1-10 heat scale", and "please don't worry, you can't make it hot enough"; were completely ignored. The heat scale of the papaya salad (which I was warned would be "VERY SPICY!") barely scraped a 2 on the 1-10 scale and the Penang curry was 5-6 on the same scale. Even a visit the next day, complaining that the food was not spicy enough, asking them to fix that for everyone at the table; resulted in dishes that barely hit a 3, ON A GOOD DAY. Even promises that we will not send the food back if it was "too spicy" did not yield satisfying results. It is my experience that when a mix of cultures exists in a restaurant, such as this mix between Thai and Japanese, BOTH seem to suffer and are less than satisfactory. If you're into spicy food, avoid this place. If you want an Asian fix, the food was good. read more

The food ordered in the couple times we have, has not been worth the price, and going in tonight for a side of yum yum sauce... they ripped me off They said it was $1.50 each, and since they had a $10 minimum on cards and I knew we'd all use a lot of sauce, I figured, sure, give me $10 worth of yum yum sauce. I just left and got home in under three minutes, opened the stapled bag, to four sides of yum yum sauce for $11. I know Asians are good at math so... check the picture and tell me if I got even $6 worth of sauce let alone 11. My neighbor sachi ripped me off - lmao. Very solid hidden gem in Murray Hill with a very wide range of menu offerings but somehow everything works together. We came at 9:30 on a Friday and they were great about seating us and getting our order in quickly. I would definitely recommend the tuna poke, ahi tuna, and octopus apps - very solid and the fish was fresh and nicely marinated. The dressing on the ahi tuna is nice and tangy so if you like more ofa citrus punch then definitely get this, The short rib massaman curry comes with an actual bone-in rib and the meat is fall-off-the-bone tender - the curry sauce itself was well-balanced. We also tried the laksa which was very solid and did pack a punch with the hot chilli oil so drink the soup slowly! Our server was great and didn't really try to reprimand me (like most others do) for over-ordering (I know, it's a bad habit but I do finish everything!). His recommendations were all on-point and we had a great meal. If you are in the area, it's worth a visit! read more

Great spot for foods from a variety of Asian cuisines in a nice setting. I ordered the Pad See Ew, which was very standard but tasty- the flank steak in there was nice and soft and the noodles were a good chewy consistency with a classic flavor. I also got a Lychee Martini, which was pretty good with lychee puree in it. The prices ($19 for the Pad See Ew and $14 for the martini) were more or less in line with similar places. The interior of the restaurant has a nice, trendy kind of feel to it, with upscale looking dark wood furniture and different types of seating (bar, table, and booth). The staff were friendly and very attentive, and the service speed was fast. Overall, although there wasn't anything that made Sachi super special to earn 5 stars, it was certainly a very good experience that would please most, if not all, fans of Asian foods/drinks. read more

This place is way better than it needs to be, in a fairly residential neighborhood. Normally I would be wary of the large menus for Asian fusion spots, but not here. Even from the cocktails alone, you can see the push for quality. There are 4 sushi chefs working the counter pumping out plates. House made dim sum. The bar is well stocked and a lot of fun. Chilling at the bar for a rare NFL Saturday, enjoying cocktails and bites off the happy hour menu. Cocktails are strong and tasty, with nice Asian twists, including innovative and tasty infusions and syrups. And the best bartender! I could sit at the bar all day! I got takeout from this local spot in my neighborhood, and it was great! My favorite was definitely the spicy tuna crispy rice, but the other rolls are good too! The menu is large, and the portions are too which is good considering this is one of the most expensive takeout sushi spots I've seen locally. They have an incredible lunch deal on weekends where you can get an appetizer (soup or salad), plus three roles of sushi, and a drink for $28 from 12pm-4pm. This has got to be one of the best deals I've seen in Manhattan so far. The sushi and soup tasted incredible. Big fan of Sachi. I have been here a few times and it doesn't disappoint. From good cocktails, to chic vibes, to tasty food, it's a perfect spot for a meal out with friends or even a date spot. I've been disappointed a lot of times when I get pad Thai from Thai restaurants in the US and I'm from Thailand. This is the first time I tried Pad Thai from Sachi and I would say I love it because it's not overly sweet. The flavor is just perfect! I ordered pad see ew in the past and I'm quite a fan too. I also really like the shrimps here because it doesn't taste frozen like most Thai restaurants and they're big. The other noodle that we order once in a while is Laksa. My husband likes it a lot. Although, you can't alternate to rice noodle. I ordered salt and pepper calamari but it doesn't look fancy like in the advertising photo; yet the flavor is good. This is a hidden Asian fusion gem in Murray hill. I've lived in this area for awhile and walked by this spot for years and never checked it out, but I should have sooner. I had soup dumplings 4 for 10$ which is pretty good and very authentic. I also had green curry which was just spicy enough and came on a big plate portion with side of white rice. They have four beers on tap, and beers were only 7$ which is pretty good for this area. They have a few things I would want come come back and try like their teas, thai ice tea and a few of their dishes since their prices and menu was really good for this area. Service was quick and attentive and the bartender Tania was friendly and pleasant, that would make me want to come back. The place was modern and was not crowded so I could actually enjoy a few good drinks and it had a good vibe where I could enjoy a tasty meal. I would definitely check this place out if I'm the area.
