DO NOT GO HERE. I have reached out for any refund that is possible and they have stopped responding. Once my stylist was complete with blow drying I noticed my hair was almost black. I chalked it up to the lighting in the salon and did not say anything during my appointment. The next day I washed my hair thinking it would fade but it did not. When I called the salon around 3:45pm after washing my hair, they said that they were about to close and could not fit me in. Unfortunately, they were not open Sunday and could not accommodate my miscolor before I left to go home to California on Sunday. I reached out to them asking for any sort of refund since after spending $200+, my hair is about 5 shades too dark. They stated that they can not refund me the portion for the coloring. UPDATE: I just went to my salon in California and they stated that this is the WORST color they have ever seen and couldn't believe the the salon let me walk out! read more

1) Please have your receptionist ask clients questions the stylist needs to know. No one likes to find out the day before their appointment that they're not getting the service booked. 2) If the stylist changes a color appointment to a consult, the stylist shouldn't get frustrated with the client because the stylist has only one color book and the client can't find a match in the color samples. 3) If the client has told the stylist in person and in text no haircut at the consult, the stylist shouldn't push a haircut to make money. 4) If a client agrees to a trim at the consult, the stylist should not cut off 5 inches. A trim is a 1/2 to 1 inch. If more is needed, discuss long layers and treatments to save the length. Unless a client specifically asks to go from long to shoulder length hair, never cut off 5 inches. 5) If a client shows a stylist a photo or some videos of a desired blow-out, the stylist should be honest about their abilities. Don't say yes, blow off the instructions, and then respond to a flop with "it's not my thing." 6) If the client texts their availability is 12-5, the stylist shouldn't respond with the client wrote 10-3. If the client texts they can't do mornings, the stylist shouldn't offer a 10:30 AM appt. 7) If the company website has color priced at $220 then the stylist shouldn't text color is $350. 8) If the client replies they don't feel comfortable going through with color because they're not happy with the haircut, the stylist shouldn't respond with a condescending text. Have some empathy. The stylist gets paid either way but the client has to live with the results. 9) Ideally, apologize for the disconnect and offer solutions like Halo so the client can get the length and her confidence back. 10) No one should ever leave a salon feeling less attractive. read more

Felt like a million bucks leaving the salon! It's been a long time since I felt that good leaving a salon. So delightful! I saw Renee for a color consult, cut & style. She was recommended by a neighbor that looked amazing after a visit with Renee. I was considering going "gracefully gray" and had some pictures for what I had in mind. I was her first appointment of the morning on a Thursday. Interaction regarding the color was a little awkward because she didn't recommend doing what I thought I wanted. I went with her recommendation and we moved on to a lovely interaction and beautiful results! I have naturally curly hair and she really seemed to understand what I wanted and what my hair needed. She was efficient in the process and she talked me through what she was doing. I have never taken pictures of my hair at a salon, but this time I did because I genuinely loved the look! I felt amazing and the Prova hair products smelled amazing! The salon doesn't look like much from the outside but it's 2 floors and surprisingly very spacious inside. Worst salon and experience I have ever had. Appointment was at 12 PM wasn't addressed until 12:30 PM. I just am now leaving the salon at 3:15, after begging him to let me out of his chair as he was still going to try to fix it for the third time, with the worst hair I have ever had in my life. Was supposed to get ash highlights and ended up with copper red. On top of that the hairdresser still made me pay $65. Terrible customer service will never return, thanks for ruining my hair. Revised: 2 hours later. My husband called the salon and after coercing the hair dresser to do the right thing, he finally acquiesced and ripped up my check. I've been going to Prova Salon for the past seven years, and I will never let anyone cut my hair other than Midge! I go in about once every couple months to get my hair high lighted and cut, which usually costs me about $130 before tip. While it may seem a little pricey, the results are always absolutely fantastic! Midge is truly an artist with her scissors and coloring techniques. As far as the experience in the salon goes, the ambience is great. They always play top 40's music, which is nice. I am always offered a beverage when I arrive, and they offer lots and lots of magazines to read when you're sitting under the hair drier. From the outside, this looks like an average salon with like six chairs, it's definitely not! It's huge inside! I tried this place for the first time on Thursday. My hair just wasn't cooperating because of my dead ends and I kind of got screwed on my last dye job. I wound up with really chunky highlights and like half red hair in the back. I wanted a trim and a bayalage and my trim was done by Angie, who was a straight shooter and said up front that wasn't her specialty, which I totally appreciated. She recommended I meet Michelle, who is known in the salons for doing bayalage and sombre and I did! I booked my appointment with her and came in hoping she could fix my poor hair.... The results were amazing! Michelle was a trooper. I have long and thick hair that's a dirty ash blonde naturally. She painstakingly painted my hair for four hours and toned it to perfection! If you want your hair to look great! Come here and see Michelle. Her prices are great. I've paid well over $250 and $300 for a bayalage and I was charged I think $167 for something that will last me all year! After a very disappointing Groupon purchase for mani pedi for the week in AZ of which they were booked solid, I was on a mission to find a GOOD mani pedi. Cheap would be best, but after no foot attention during the winter and several days of flip flops, attention to detail was a must. Interestingly enough, this place was only a couple streets from our resort and had great reviews. The catch, the reviews were for the stylists. But, according to their website, they did nails and even better, had open time within 2 hour. Great, just enough time to eat leisurely and then head over to my appointment. I arrived a few minutes early and was told that Zara was just finishing up with her previous client and she would be right with me. I was invited to sit and offered water, tea or coffee while I waited. They had a kitchen like setup inside this huge salon. The place has an upstairs and downstairs and people are all over. Very neat setup. Not your typical salon or nail salon. Very soon I met Zara. Wow! What a spunky woman. A wonderful Armenian lady that you will instanly fall in love with!! She started right in on my manicure as we chatted and laughed. I went for a basic buff, no polish since it won't do at work. I needed cuticle work or I would have skipped the mani all together. The mani was not where Zara shined, it was the pedi. Though it did include all the usual stuff including the hand and arm massage. After my mani was done, I got into the spa chair and the majic began. I told Zara right off that I needed lots of callus work for the aformentioned reasons. Nail places never do well enough on calluses, until Zara. After a good soak, she proceeded to spend at least 20 minutes on my calluses. Wow. Great. Excellent toe care. Greagt color suggestion. Excellent massage. Over the top great. 1 hour and 20 or so minutes after I arrived, I was relaxed and looking fabulous and ready for flip flop wear. I will tell you that this was the most expensive mani pedi that I have ever had. But I really think it was worth it. My feet have never looked so good and the amount of time Zara spent on me was amazing. She is such a wonderful person, so fun and lively. I highly recommend you check her out, especially for a pedicure, and tell her that the "beautiful California girl" recommended you check her out (that is how she said she would remember me, though I think she says everyone is beautiful... that is just how she sees the world). I loved Zara and will be back to see her on a return trip for sure. read more

I loved the way she styled my hair after the cut. With most of my haircuts I hate the way they style it (my hair is thick and a PAIN to style with just a blow-dryer), but the way she styled it looked great!
