She is personable and sweet, and I always feel like she hears me. She usually knows what I want more than I do. She takes great care of me, and I'd recommend her to anyone. I have to say the stylist gave me a beautiful haircut but left my hair bright orange (not at all what was expected) and made me feel absolutely terrible about myself. I understand I had a bad colorist before who has not been very good to my hair but the color was tolerable. Some kind of toner was put on my hair and it made it orange. Imagine starting the new year with the hopes of getting a new refreshing look, but end up looking BOTCHED with horrible roots. Well that's how it was for me, not only was it expensive costing me 300 dollars, but Jessica didn't seem to care. She fought with me saying that the pictures I sent her resembled the work she did.... clearly I must be blind if that's the case. I asked for a balayage with dark roots and ashy brown ends! I'm so disappointed with my overall experience, I wish I could get a refund or at least something. I was left so insecure about my hair, Not to mention it was my birthday!!! The salon is nice and stylish. I had a deal certificate for a Brazilian Blowout by Rodney. He is very personable and friendly. But, there always seems to be a but, I had 2 issues (one of which was retracted after contacting the company of the product). First is that while doing the flat iron portion he burned my head. When I jumped forward and told him he had got me he stated it was just that he was close but didn't actually burn me it was just he was getting the roots and the heat of the iron probably made it feel like he got me, though he stated he never had anyone jump like that before. I wasn't upset, but I dislike being dismissed and the scab on the back of my neck the next day validated that he had in fact gave me a small burn. I've retracted the second issue. The information I was using was inaccurate and stated that a blowout took 3 days before washing and the length of time it took to complete treatment. When Rodney contacted me about the inaccuracy of the statement I contacted the company that makes the product he uses and verified that I did receive the blowout in accordance with their product and their aftercare. He also contacted me and did apologize for the burn after the review as well. Accidents happen, and that wasn't an issue overall when I wrote the review (the 2nd issue based on my misinformation was) and as that is the only complaint he is someone that knows his products and is very good at what he does. read more

I was a regular client of Shay at Aura Salon until she changed careers a few months ago. I found Ling Yang at Jo Paris and I am absolutely thrilled. It's really, really hard (first world problems, I know) when you lose a stylist. I saw Shay at Aura and felt like she cut and colored my hair perfectly. I didn't think it was likely I could find another stylist that would match her expertise and the fun time we had together while she did my hair. As I've been to numerous Valley salons (Dolce, Rolfs, Fate Image, Mane Attraction) I didn't really know where to turn. Jo Paris saved me. The salon itself is beautiful, relaxing, and spacious. Easy to find and lots of parking. The stations are modern and comfortable with great lighting and lots of room for your purse, drink, cell phone etc. They have several shampoo stations and a young, cool vibe. Ling Yang is fantastic. She is full of personality -- in a good, not annoying way -- and instantly made me feel comfortable. She listened what I wanted and respected my anxiety and concerns over changing stylists. The color came out perfect and I love my hair cut. She added her own slight style change to the cut after we talked about it and it's a great, minor change. She also didn't push me to buy any products which I love. (I absolutely hate feeling like I have to sit through a sales presentation after spending $$$ on getting my hair done). I feel totally confident and am relieved to have found her. My only "gripe" is that Jo Paris does not carry Kerastase products and as such does not provide Kerastase conditioning treatments, which I love. However, this was the first time I skipped one in 2 years and I honestly didn't notice a difference. So take that for what it's worth. Also, I didn't have any problems paying with AMEX like others have mentioned because Ling does her own booking and accepts payment direct from the client. Go see Ling!! read more

I started going to Jessica in November of 2018. I was in search of someone who could do extensions and make sure they were blended well. (Some hair dressers struggle with this because my hair is very thick and natural curly but I straighten it a lot). I saw Jessica Instagram and loved that she was posting all her picture with the girls hair straight because I could actually see how well the hair was blended a lot of hair dressers post the pictures with the hair curled so you can't tell the blending issues! When I went for my first time I was extremely nervous, she was very nice and polite and helped reassure me that it was going to look great! Which I believed in her because I had seen her work but I had extensions before (by someone else) and they didn't looked good but Jess hit it out of the park!!! I was so confident with my new hair and it looked so natural which was extremely important to me! I cannot imagine trusting someone else to do my hair! Fantastic! I needed a very (very!) last minute color and blow dry, and the salon's staff came out tops from initial phone call, to end of service. I was visiting from out of town, and the Aveda salon I had originally booked with cancelled the morning of. Lucky for me, as I found here a terrific and welcoming salon who knew what to do. Marla Leigh has been doing my hair for years and recently moved to Jo Paris Salon. All I can say is that they are lucky to have her. My hair is naturally curly and very difficult for me to work with. Marla gives me an outstanding haircut that even I can work with. She has also done the Brazilian Blowout on me. I love it, because it softens my curl without eliminating it totally when I let my hair air dry. And, it gives me the flexibility to easily blow my hair straight when I want a change. Additionally, Marla is amazing with color. I've changed my preferences several times and she has always been able to make me happy. Whether we are doing a full color, highlights, or just a touch up, Marla has nailed it every time. I'll admit, I am not the easiest client, and Marla has always been patient with me and offered suggestions when I just didn't know what I wanted. She is fantastic. EXTENSIONS EXTENSIONS EXTENSIONs! I had my first pair put in by someone else and the woman ruined my hair, cut the extensions, cut my own hair so when they came out I had a bob. I was mortified. You can really tell a difference when someone enjoys doing extensions vs not. Went into Jo Paris three times since than for extensions and their team is great. Jess is great with hair and extensions because she is particular with placement and obsessed with extensions herself. So She takes her time and the end result is amazing! She is always putting in and taking out her own set, fine tuning her touch. I HIGHLY recommend going to her for extensions, she is always there if you need anything fixed ect. My hair was a little longer than shoulder length and I came out with 18s! My hair looked awesome, I will be a return customer forever. Thank you guys!! Pictures posted!!
