Vivid tattoos were offering Friday the 13th specials on flash or custom and wanted to check them out. I arrived early as I wasn't sure if there'd be a long line. I have been to places b4 where the lines were ridiculous. Luckily, I arrived right when they opened and there was 1 only couple ahead of me. Of course, by the time I was in the chair more and more people had started coming in.I showed the artist Yesi, my design and she drew it out and made sure it was to my liking. As she was prepping to start of course fear crept in as it's been awhile since my last tattoo and I asked if my shoulder area was going to hurt much. She was kind and told me how she's pretty gentle handed, but if at anytime I needed her to stop, just let her know. That eased my nerves and once she became, I was like... wait?! I barely felt anything.... even when she was doing some shading the pressure was fine. When she told me she was finished I was shocked, by how truly gentle handed she was. I loved the finished work, and would definitely comeback if I get the itch for another tattoo.

They are so clean and organized even during Friday 13th madness. I have had my leg ankle and arm done here. Each artist is personable and welcoming. I saw Melvin's work, and I immediately scheduled an appointment. Her character, energy and desire to nourish a welcoming and warm tattoo shop is admirable. The shop itself may be the best shop I've been to, as it's a renovated old house, which made the experience and conversation while getting tattooed feel "homey". Also, the parking is great, and the location makes the experience feel like you're going to a friends to hang, and get work done. Okay, soooooo long story short I was 15 got a under the table tattoo from a friends uncle which I chose doves and seven had to be my favorite #, so I got 7 dark doves on my back. Fast forward I'm 18 now met new people and they wanted to help me cover the doves... cool artist. Started a session... and then I moved to SAN DIEGO. Soooooo now I got a random unfinished cover up.... Finally met jar which I got my little flowers on my right shoulder with my first time meeting him... I had to ask about fixing my cover up... now here we are today. Cover ups are hard, and this was a 2nd cover up but he was able to free style it all. He made me feel comfortable and I definitely trust him. He's booked out crazy, but he tries to keep everyone happy. Hope this helps you!
