I contacted Sac's Door and Gate to repair a noisy garage door. I have put up with this problem since I had the spring replaced over a year and a half ago. The original installer could not fix it and said the problem was the door not the new spring and that and there was nothing they could do. Tony Castro from Sac's came out, listened to the noise, and immediately said it was the spring and knew how to fix it. And he did. Tony knows his stuff. As much as I would like to give a higher rating for this business. I cannot in good faith give ratings for services not rendered. So I will give them the review from what we did get from this company. We had this company come and repair our doors from a butchered locksmith incident, and quote us a new price on the doors. So our office impressed by the work of the staff (Even though they were two hours late to the repair. We won't hold that against them cause it was a Saturday.) our office decided to go with them to our new doors replaced. While we were warned by the team that it could take up to six to eight weeks for the new doors coming in per COVID, they did not ever really give us reliable updates on these doors. We called multiple times to confirm ANY details coming in, and speaking with them was a constant battle to try and get any information from them. Now while we were waiting, the door proceeded to break two more times. So we called them to repair the door both times. The locksmith who did come and fix our doors did a great job and if that was the end of our troubles with this company the review would have been 5 stars, but alas- it was not. To make things a bigger bummer, they attempted to charge us once for an emergency overtime call, despite the fact that they arrived during business hours. And despite our many attempts to get any pending information, they finally CANCELLED our order 5 months later with a vague "we're sorry for the inconvenience" and have yet to return the deposit we paid for. Leaving us stranded to find a new company to do business with. Which sucks, because we were willing to wait, so long as someone talked to us and share with us what was going on, and giving us proper solutions instead of "COVID is the reason we can't get any answers." Even today as I attempted to call this business, I was referred to their answering service, and when they called back I missed by three minutes, to only get their answering service again and be told to leave another message. Listen, I get it, COVID is a real thing, but there could have been better communication and there could be more realistic answers than just "COVID is the reason" that you cannot effectively communicate. Or least make us feel like we were not being nickeled and dimed. We we're not looking for a cheap fix. We were ready to pay what was needed to get things done. But we still unfortunately are dissatisfied with our services with this company, and hope that they really work on their customer service communication and professionalism in the future. read more

DO NOT USE SACS DOOR & GATE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!! My garage door was off track due to me leaving something in the way when closing it. I called my usual repair company but he was out of town and it was an emergency, as we could not close the door. I had to leave for work so my wife made some calls while I was gone and she received a quote of $139.00 from Sacs Door & Gate after she described the problem. She agreed and a service person came out to repair the door, never saying anything other than the original quote. When the "repair" was completed, the service person gave my wife a bill for $392.00. My wife told her that was not the quote and the person said the repair require more work than they originally anticipated. After some back and forth my wife paid $238.00 which was $100 more than quoted. One week later the door came of the tracks on its own (pictured) and upon inspection it appeared that the tracks may have been partially pried open causing a delayed failure. I called Sacs Door & Gate expecting some type of warranty on the work they had done the previous week. A different service person came out and gave me an estimate of $499.67 to repair the door they had repaired less than 10 days ago. I refused their service and called my regular repair person who was back in town. i showed him the estimate and told him the repair story and he said that some companies low-ball a phone bid, then up charge on the site. He also said he has seen companies rig a door to fail in the future so they could come back and up sell parts and labor. He said he is not saying that is what happened here, but he has seen it. Sacs Door wanted to sell me and entire new track system, but my repair person was able to fix what I have with minor part replacement for less than the other quote. Totally rude company, the guy who attempted the work stated he did not have the parts to complete the work. Why come to a house to fix a job when you don't have all your parts with you (lame excuse to charge me twice) 3 weeks later I had to call again the owner comes out and charges me for the same issue. So I get an email for (2) invoices I called to dispute the fees, the owner returned the inquiry states I will put a foreclosure on your home if you don't pay me and I've done this before so lady pay me. I explained to him my uncle lives in the house who is in his late 60's how can he damage the door? He said It happened not my fault and you need to pay both charges. I will following up with proper channels to help the next Victims so they don't continue there tactics of ripping people off. Called SACS Door & Gate on a referral. The tech came out in the morning and provided a very vague estimate. He said he would be back later in the day to install. When the tech arrived it was a different tech. I clearly asked him if the one panel had windows, he said YES. I could not see the panels as he was unloading them off his truck. When I later went out to see how he was progressing, I noticed there were NO windows in the panel. I asked him why and he said this is what was ordered. We called the office and spoke with Nik. He advised he was the manager/owner. He said there is a much higher price for windows and we didn't order windows. The tech that came out in the morning showed a picture in the brochure of the design we wanted complete with windows. It was also stated that we only wanted the panels replaced and not the rails or the spring. Come to find out, they had to replace the rails and the spring due to the new panels were a thicker gauge. This was not discussed with us as later it was explained that they made the error and they threw in the spring and rails at no extra cost. I would have never known this had I not complained about the panel with no windows. The manager/owner Nik was argumentive and talked over me and indicated that he was trying to work with us. He wanted us to pay the difference as he said he already took a loss on the additional hardware. As a manager and business owner, if the original estimate is not what was being delivered, he should have called to discuss the changes, even if the changes were in my favor. I believe this is the law. And the estimate should be clear. There is a difference between Replace 4 panels and Replace 4 Solid Panels and Replace 4 Panels, 3 solid 1 window. Perhaps a training opportunity for the individual writing estimates. By the way, the installer was awesome. He did exactly what he was advised by his friend who wrote the estimate. I might also add that he had a young juvenile youngster approximately 10 years old with him helping. Just food for thought, always get a clearly written estimate, and before any job is started to go over the statement of work to be performed before the truck is unloaded. read more
