I planned to purchase both a washer and dryer from them, but the sales associate recommended I purchase the dryer elsewhere when he couldn't guarantee it in the timeline I needed. That impressed me a lot-- he put my needs before the sale. However, I still wanted the dryer installed by them, so I coordinated with him to make sure that both the dryer and washer would be at the house at the same time. Unfortunately, the sales associate did not communicate with the delivery team that this was to be done, despite our multiple conversations about it. The delivery/installation team did not have the equipment needed for the dryer, which defeated the whole purpose of scheduling the washer delivery at that time. Fortunately Brigette turned a one star experience into a five star one. She had the installation team get the needed parts and charged me not too much more than what I had been told by the sales associate. She cared about making things right despite the mishap, and that's what makes a business great. Their pricing is competitive with big box stores, but you'll get much better customer service. I'll be returning to them. Hopefully things will go more smoothly with future purchases, but at least I have the confidence Brigette will make it right if not. read more

Great appliance store. Scott and crew made things easy and were very understanding. Appliance selection is quite a process and we visited many stores like Perch, Howard's, Best Buy, and some company displays as well. When it came time to order Scott was very responsive via email and provided numbers almost immediately. We could not get invoices from Perch despite emailing several reps there. We ended up buying some display units and unfortunately, the remodel took a lot longer than expected. Saddleback Appliances held onto the appliances for a good amount of time while the contractors finished the project. They referred us to installers that did a great job. The display units function just like new. We also bought some extra parts that we ended up not using and they were able to take them back (less a restocking fee). Shop around town but buy your appliances through Saddleback. They'll take care of you. read more

We have purchased appliances from Saddleback Appliances before with good results even when Samsung was failing miserably with quality control. They came thru and got us exactly what we needed and got it installed in tight confines with no issues. This time around we needed a refrigerator and we were on our way and stopped by a BB store since we knew they would have more refrigerators on display and from there we were going to stop at another large store with a good selection and we would finish at Saddleback. Well the first store had great customer service all though the fees they tack on for every little thing was annoying like an install and delivery fee and additional fee to install different handles even though the fridge does not come with handles installed. Long story short we went with the first store and on delivery date their delivery team was basically whining about the install and wanted even more fees. It became ridiculous and they wanted to dump the new fridge in the garage. Long story short they were asked to leave and take their fridge with them. I called the store and talked to delivery dispatch and told them I was cancelling the entire order. I got home and immediately called Joel at Saddleback Appliances who helped us last time with our washer and dryer. Joel and his team had the same exact refrigerator delivered and installed 2 days later with no whining and no real problems. It did require me to remove our gate to get the fridge in the house due to its size but that was a fairly easy task. The guys felt removing the gate was easier than them removing the doors off the fridge and avoiding an additional charge. I should have just started with Joel and yes the price was the same as the other store. Quick turnaround, friendly, knowledgeable and a fair price. This company has been in business for decades. My mom used to buy all her appliances from them. There is a serious disconnect between sales who don't ask enough questions (like what floor are you on) which then compromises the delivery staff. It's a serious inconvenience when they get it wrong and you have taken off work to meet the delivery truck and they can't deliver because sales didn't do their job and ask a simple question. Do yourself a favor and buy from Big Box who has the logistics down and don't nickel and dime with a third party delivery service to make it up 3 flights of stairs. Easy process to get my new dishwasher and installation was good. However, before purchasing, asked about warranty on dish racks because my old ones were very rusty and did not want that problem again. Representative stated that the racks had a 10 year warranty. That's what sold me. When I placed my order, I again was reassured that there was a 10 year warranty. After installation, went through the paperwork and warranty stated 5 years. I needed to replace my home bar's ice maker - a search showed this place fairly close to my house had the same model, so I could replace it and have it fit exactly in the existing space. Called, confirmed it was there, and picked it up. There wasn't a mention of installation, though I see here that others seems to have had their items installed -- our plumber came and did it for us. Less than a year later when the machine failed, I called looking for assistance. After a few holds, the woman told me she didn't know where to send me - only that they don't do any repairs (which is totally fair) but she didn't have a direction for me to go aside from "look on the company's website?" (I had already done that). It was extremely hard to get someone to fix it, because as it turns out, NO ONE fixes residential ice machines because they are apparently very hard to get parts for. I had to get that information from a repair person. So, they sold me an ice machine, didn't let me know they could install it, and then after the sale there was no assistance to get some service. Not a lot great to say here. Not awful, but I guess my advice would be if you need something here - remember you'll just be buying a product. The rest will be up to you. read more

I bought my new range from Scott @ Saddleback and was in/out in an hour. They had a decent selection of high end brand appliances on the floor, not commonly found at other big box retailers. I do appreciate businesses that close on Sunday to honor their faith and give their employees a family day of rest, even though not always convenient. When the installers Gabriel and Santiago arrived I promised a crisp Benjamin $100 tip as my effort to share my Manufacturer Rebate, should they remove old appliance and install the new range without damaging my home. They were appropriately motivated, worked extra diligently and justly rewarded for their exceptional install. The ILVE Majestic range has its first "warranty" repair, immediately after delivery. Digital clock/Timer/Oven Setting issues. Unfortunately, I I have not been able to use the oven since the new appliance arrived 2 weeks ago. The manufacturer is based out of Brooklyn, NYC that complicates matters since no 800# for service. ~BTW, I'm still waiting for my Rebate check, in the mail. I am giving the 4 stars because this review is about my experience at the appliance store and the delivery/install of appliance. This is not a review of the brand new appliance that needs to be repaired, immediately after delivery, nor the Rebate Check that has not yet arrived. Good Lesson learned: Ask who will service the appliance while under warranty and how long a warranty repair will take!?!? read more

Life during COVID-19 is complicated. We ordered a built in KitchenAid refrigerator in September and were told it would be delivered October 29th. On October 28th we were told that our refrigerator may not come at all in 2020. Fortunately Joel at Saddleback Appliance had a GE delivered to us inside a week. But, it's 2020,and it was defective. Again, Joel helped us out by switching the defective fridge out for a brand new one. The new fridge works like a charm and we couldn't be happier! If you need appliances, know that right now there is a huge back log, so be sure to ask about what is in stock before make your selection. Somewhat complicated review here - We recently were looking to pick up a Speed Queen Washer/Dryer set and Saddleback was one of the only vendors here in Orange County. We connected with Manny in their showrooom and the purchasing experience was informative and helpful. We were grateful to hear that delivery and installation was free including the ability to take away an old washer/dryer if needed. The delivery was scheduled for about a week later and everything seemed to be going well. It gets weird on the delivery as the crew who arrived (led by a gentleman named Gabriel Vega) to deliver the washer/dryer informed my wife that it would be an addition $30 to install the units upstairs (which is where our laundry room is). She was alone at home with the kids so she didn't argue about it with him and wrote out a check. When she asked who to make it out to he said to make it out to him personally. These all struck very uncomfortable notes with us. I then called Saddleback and left a message for them on their voicemail which they never acknowledged and didn't respond to. I then followed up during work hours two days later and informed their staff (Manny was out) about the concerns. Was able to connect with Manny the following day who then claimed that Gabriel charged us $30 for supplies (hook-up cables etc.). I informed them that was not the way it went down and that we'd even written in on the check (which had cashed at this point) as "upstairs installation." He then wanted me to have my wife call in to discuss it with him. Anyways...it all worked out as they showed up the following day at our house with thirty dollars in cash. Still super odd all around. Unfortunately we've also already had to have a tech call on the Speed Queen due to the door-open sensor not reading the door as closed when it is appropriate. But, I don't fault Saddleback for that. Their tech did arrive late (was supposed to be before noon, but didn't arrive till after 2pm), and didn't keep us informed about his delay as he said he would. Buyer Beware - Price isn't everything! In January, 2021 I decided to replace 3 original appliances in my home. My long-time friend & real estate agent highly recommended Saddleback Appliances. She had used them on many occasions over the years for numerous other clients and found Saddleback to be price-competitive with decent selection. I ordered and paid in full for an electric stovetop, Dishwasher, and Microwave/Oven. The first two appliances were delayed by 3-6 weeks due to Covid but installed in March, 2021. At about this time my old oven stopped working; however,I didn't panic since my new microwave/oven was due to be delivered at the end of April (after 3 delays). Unfortunately, the salesman had made a mistake and had ordered the wrong model # and size so it had to be returned. For the next 3 months I made multiple phone calls for updates; every date I was given was eventually moved out to the following month. My friends found the model I needed via the internet. It was a floor model in Colorado with a slight blemish and reduced price, but high shipping costs. I asked Saddleback to help with the installation cost due to their ordering error and was told NO! I then asked for a credit to buy an extended protection plan on this floor model - again I was told NO! I understand delays due to Covid. However, I do not understand an organization that had my money for 6 months, was responsible for ordering the wrong model resulting in months-long delays, and unwilling to do anything to help me with two reasonable requests. Lessons learned: 1) Savings of a few hundred dollars may not be worth unreasonable wait times - buyers are better off going to a place that has a wider selection and more options in case something is backordered; Do NOT pay for purchases in full at the time of ordering. I got my money back for the oven 6 months after I had paid for it. My "floor model" was delivered, installed, and is now working great! read more

Buying here turned out to be a disappointment once there was a problem. Our appliance repairman suggested that we replace our washer with a Speed Queen because of durability. When the time came we found that Saddleback is a distributor so we went there. The purchase was ok and Scott was knowledgeable and helpful. After ONE WEEK we started having issues with the washer not turning on. It took over a month and 9 phone calls before it was fixed. There was zero follow-up on their part.... days would go by with no return call on so then we'd have to call again. It became obvious that the parts hadn't been ordered after being told 3 times that they were. Say what you will about the "big box" stores like PS and BB but I've never been jerked around by them like this! We definitely won't go back or refer them. read more

6 years ago we remodeled our kitchen and put in top of the line Kitchen Aid appliances. Every one except the refrig has had a problem. Recently the wine cooler switch went out. I called Howard's to get a service recommend. After calling a couple, I settled on Saddleback. Actually I should have just got the part off the Internet and instructions for replacing. 30 min to 1 hour job. Warren came out and I had removed the cooler from the cabinet and I said I think it was the switch. He tapped it and confirmed. 5 minutes and $59 and he would have to order the part. Part was a few dollars more than the Internet price, labor $70 for 40 minutes installation. I put the cooler back. Works fine. Saddleback and Warren were fine, professional. Took two weeks though. I guess their labor charges were reasonable. I could have saved $130.00 in labor and had it done in a few days, had I looked on Internet first. But no complaint with Saddleback Appliances. read more
