My dad needed a new gas range in time to cook Thanksgiving dinner for our friends and family. His old range was less than five years old and one of the electrical components died. After ordering a couple parts and failing to fix it he was dead set on getting a pilot light oven range with no electric starter, timer, or anything. Oh yeah, it has to be made in the US and Thanksgiving is in a week. Sounds impossible right? Well after calling a bunch of places who had no idea what I was even talking about, I stumbled upon Saddleback Appliances. I spoke with a very friendly gentleman named Greg who turned me onto the Brown gas range: pilot light only, no power required, and LP convertible. I think it's even made in the US. This baby is probably EMP proof. Well after a wonder Thanksgiving turkey, an awesome Christmas prime rib, cookies, fudge, and other goodies I can finally post my review and say that this gas range and Saddleback Appliances rock. Service was ok, however after they quoted me a final estimate and did the work they then proceeded to charge me an extra $113.00 for additional parts that was not presented to me or pre-authorized by me at any time. When I spoke to them about the matter, they said the service guy made a mistake and that was his problem not theirs! Misrepresentation and fraud are serious matters, so I had to file a complaint with my credit card company to resolve this issue. While doing an entire kitchen remodel I ordered a suite of appliances, kitchen hardware and plumbing items. I paid 100% up front a provided an estimated install date. The owner, Greg, did not order my appliances and sat on my money leaving me scrambling to find appliances. The worst part is he refuses to apologize and admit this was his problem. I had a very nice experience dealing with Scott, when we purchased a new washer & dryer. We needed it delivered and installed in our second floor laundry room and Saddleback hired a small company that provided professional, personalized service to do the job. In addition, the whole thing was handled with one phone call and a few emails. The price was right as well. I should note that we first tried to buy from Pacific Sales/Best Buy as we did not know about Saddleback. The delivery turned into a fiasco, so we canceled with Pacific Sales/Best Buy and found Saddleback. I'm so happy we did and will look forward to future purchases from them. Thanks Scott! read more

I had a good experience with Saddleback Appliances. The microwave on our combination microwave/oven broke and we decided to replace it rather than repair it. Since it was a 27" model we were limited in our selection but had a few brands to choose from. We settled for the Kitchenaid (same company as our old one). Gavin the salesperson showed us both the Kitchenaid and GE models. We were happy with the build quality of the Kitchenaid. Gavin was a no pressure salesperson and gave us a very competitive price. It was lower than the other local appliance stores. The delivery, installation and disposal fee was one amount. Other places separated them out and in total was more than what Saddleback was quoting. The installation was done by a private contractor who did not work for Saddleback. He was professional and neat. He charged us less than what Saddleback quoted us so we were happy about that as well. If we need another appliance we'll certainly look at Saddleback Appliances again. read more

Oh I really should have trusted the reviews. Buyer beware! The people that own this place are an absolute joke and you will never see more disorganization. They act nice and friendly when you're there, but if a problem comes up they will be zero help. Lesson learned! As local business owners, we would NEVER treat customers this way. We bought fixtures from them a few months ago. I called multiple times to ask where they were so I could ensure they would be ready for our plumber during our remodel. No one ever called me back. Finally got in touch with Brijette after multiple attempts and she told me the stuff had been sitting in their warehouse for six weeks and the guys didn't know where to look for it. Wow. Talk about disorganization, but that is very evident from the moment you walk in that horrible warehouse. As with all construction right now things are majorly delayed and we finally were able to do our plumbing (yes, it was past the 5-day return policy, but every other vendor and contractor is extremely understanding with the way our world is right now). Our RO water system didn't fit, so we didn't need the filtration faucet and wanted to return it. Now they are telling us it was a special order?? What complete liars they are. The day we ordered our fixtures they brought one that was a return from the back so we could see what it looked like and be able to tell what our kitchen faucet look like. So now I can't return the returned product they sold me. We left it there today in hopes that maybe they will do the right thing. It's not like we are desperate for $300 after spending $175k on our remodel, it's just the point. And what's even better is the guy helping today said he was going on the back to ask Brigette about it, but came back out and said she was on the phone. What?!?!?! Then why was she in the parking lot not on the phone? Another lie. People, there are MUCH better places to buy your appliances and fixtures. What a relief that we had already bought $25k worth of appliances at Howard's where they have fantastic customer service. read more

We own a rental home in Aliso Viejo. We bought a new fridge from Brigette at Saddleback last November. Not long after, the ice maker quit working and they had to replace that and the main circuit board. Brigette coordinated all of that for us. Recently, the fridge quit working entirely, causing our tenant a lot of inconvenience. Rather that attempting further repairs, Brigette got authorization from GE to just replace the fridge with a new one. Within three days the new fridge was installed and is working well. When it arrived we realized it would be a tough delivery because of access. No problem - Scott worked with West Coast Appliance Installation and together coordinated a slick delivery of a big fridge through a kitchen window using a crane lift. All at a very competitive price. Definitely will use them again. read more

I am so happy I found Saddleback Appliances. I started needing a stackable washer and dryer for my moms condo in Laguna Woods. Scott was so informative in giving me candid assessments of the various options so I could make the best decision for the small space available. We then remodeled the kitchen in the unit and I headed straight back to Saddleback Appliances for the fridge, range, dishewasher and sink. Bridgette was extremely helpful and with her background in design, I really appreciated getting her input on the look of the entire kitchen. We purchased an older home in 2022 and found Saddleback by coincidence. They were shown as having the induction range we wanted. All in all, we ordered all but our dishwasher through them. Greg, the owner, is hands on customer service. He was upfront about possible delays in certain models and brands and helped guide us to get what we wanted in a timely manner. He could not get the dishwasher so we found it elsewhere and he was very supportive of that choice. We ordered our new induction range, fan hood, washer/dryer and refrigerator and all were on time and installed without issue. We got what we wanted for a fair price. When the bottom drawer of the range was't working properly, they sent out a repairman who fixed it in minutes. This is a family owned business, which rare in this day and age. We could walk into the store and speak to the same person, get the same support and followup. No big box store where service is always lacking. Brick and mortar stores are so rare in this day and age and worth supporting when the sales and service is as good as it gets. read more

We recently purchased a washing machine from Saddleback Appliance that began to leak after the first load. We called Saddleback to troubleshoot the problem and we were then passed off to an outside services provider. The service provider was rude and basically telling us that if it's a plumbing issue that they'd charge us $95. The old machine didn't leak the day before so I'm a little confused as to how it's a plumbing issue? Anyway, I'd steer clear of Saddleback Appliances if you are in the market for a new appliance in the future. Not worth the headache of dealing with their unprofessional behavior. read more

Shady repairman and even shadier management! I've bought several appliances from Saddleback. My refrigerator, dishwasher, and most recently top of the line washer and dryer. Until now my experience with Saddleback has been good. I always try to buy local and support the smaller companies, so always shop here first. However. This time is very different. The front panel of my washer had become locked and wouldn't respond after days of the panel acting funny. Non-responsive to the touch, no start-up sound, no end-of-cycle sound. The repairman gets here and (of course) the machine unlocks and allows him to push the buttons. He smirks, and begins to talk to me like I'm an idiot...that there's nothing wrong with my machine. I ask him if it's normal for a machine to no longer have any sound and be unresponsive to the touch (it was not in lock-out mode), and he says, that's not normal. I'll run a diagnostic check on the machine. He runs the diagnostic check, and tells me that sometimes running diagnostics restores the machine to factory default settings and will fix any issues. After the diagnostic check, sure enough, the machine's sound was restored and the panel responded immediately to me pushing buttons. Here's the kicker....he says I'm sorry but I have to charge you $59 for my call today. I said "my machine is less than 3 months old and I even bought an extended warranty". He says "but there is nothing wrong with the machine...see? I wrote it here on the work order?" So now he has documented that there was nothing wrong even though his resetting of the factory default settings fixed the problem. When my husband got home I told him the story and he urged me to let the company know that this guy is operating this way. I called them, and recounted my story and was told that they would report this to the manager and the manager would decide if I get a refund on my service call. Guess what? I got the call and sure enough, the repairman referenced where it says "All is OK" on my invoice, so that the charge would stand. I actually thought I was doing the company a favor by unveiling a shady repairman, but I was the naive one. This is how they get extra revenue for those of us silly enough to buy their extended warranties. I won't buy another thing from these crooks! And all over a $59 service charge. You'd think they would have a better business sense to lose a loyal customer (I own several properties and therefore need more appliances than most). read more

What a horrible experience we have had with Saddleback Appliances! We just moved in to my parent's home as renters. As Murphy's law would have it the fridge went out 2 days later. We called an independent repair guy who took one look at it and told us it is under warranty and that he can't touch it and to call Kitchen Aid. Well we did and they referred us to saddleback appliances as a Preferred repair facility. What a joke! The first time they came out, the guy took one look at the fridge and it's controls flashing and said you have no freon your compressor is bad it needs all new parts, it will be at least a week to get the parts and then we'll call to schedule the repair with an estimate of $1,200. Now, one would think that with an $8000 refrigerator that is run by an internal computer he would have run a diagnostic, but nope. He barely looked at it for 10 minutes and low and behold he had the solution. No pressure test of the line to find the leak, nada! Fast forward to the call from them that the parts were in on a Friday I believe it was, we can come out next Thursday...um, what? Unacceptable! They quickly readjusted their schedule to come Tuesday. 2 guys, all day, just over $1,000 when all was said and done. Problem solved, it even made a round or two of ice. They did say to wait 24 hours for it to get down to the right temp so we left it overnight. The next morning the ice had melted and it was again flashing across the instrument panel and no longer cold. We called back...he can't come until Thursday (next day), fine, see you then. We then got a rude call back from the office. Our repair guy said to tell us that if he came out tomorrow and it was cold he was going to charge us for another service call. Um ok thanks, all the ice has melted and it's flashing and not cold, I don't think we have to worry about it being cold tomorrow. So rude! Anyways, he came back and low and behold there is again no freon. But alas, he now knows what it is. No diagnostic but it's either a leak up top or in the door, if it's in the door it needs to be replaced. I don't believe he stayed this time but had to come back for visit #4 to do the actual fix, but honestly it all blurs together at this point. He determined that the leak was in fact up top and he 'fixed' it. Wonderful! After close to a month we now have a working fridge in our new house! Did I mention that I have 2 small kids and not having a fridge for milk and what not is very tough? We have 2 mini fridges that we thankfully had loaned to us but they aren't the best solution, they hold almost nothing so we stop for groceries almost daily, not so convenient after a long day of work with 2 cranky kids who have been at school all day. I have also spent a bloody fortune on ice during this time, first on dry ice to keep the original fridge cold and then on cooler ice to keep the stuff that doesn't fit in the mini fridges cold. Regardless, it was supposedly repaired now, yay! Nope, by the time I got home Thursday afternoon it was again warm and the instrument panel was flashing...again. Another call to saddleback, talked to the repair guy who NOW knows what is wrong and will be out next week on Tuesday (that's today). So he shows up today, take the top panel off and looks around then calls Kitchen Aid. He talks to them for a minute and hangs up. Tells my mom, there's nothing else we can do, call this number and they (Kitchen Aid) will take care of you. Seriously? Yes, call them they will take care of you. So the review of KA will come later but let's just say that in order for them to have proof that it truly can't be fixed so they can move on with replacing it they need a 2nd opinion. WTH? This other preferred repair company can't come until Monday so we now have a full size rental fridge being delivered tomorrow because Lord knows how long this will go on. I find it appalling that not on, but twice saddleback 'fixed' is fridge that they are certified to repair and charged over $1,000 and it still doesn't work. They seem to think that this isn't their problem now. No accountability, no acknowledgement that they might have been wrong not once, but twice. How is it that a company with technicians who are certified to repair this product have failed on multiple occasions to not only diagnose the actual problem but then fixed a bunch of stuff that wasn't wrong in the first place and charged us for it, under warranty no less? Buyer/Consumer beware...let's see what ridiculous excuse their social media/PR person comes up with to reply to this one. Next stop, CA Department of Consumer Repairs. UPDATE...new company came out for the 2nd opinion b/c kitchen aid needs that to ensure it truly can't be fixed. New company is saying it's the evaporator coils and another $1600 to repair! What a joke...will be calling Saddleback Appliance back in the morning to find out exactly what it is they are certified to do?!?! read more

A huge disappointment! My husband and I remodeled our home and purchased over $8000 worth of appliances. We bought everything here. Brigette, the owner and head of sales talked us into Kitchenaid appliances, which we have never used and will never use again, but with her strong recommendation we decided to go ahead and get them. Fast forward 18 months and our dishwasher breaks. Brigette refused to answer any of our calls regarding this - at one point my husband waited two hours on hold for her and she never came to the phone. We had them come out only to find out that the parts weren't available for a month (this was after weeks of waiting for them to even call, and finally calling them to see what was happening) After a month the parts they ordered didn't fix it and we had to wait again. We had to call and follow up every time because they are so poor at communicating when things will arrive. At one point I called Kitchenaid myself to order parts because the guy had been out several times and they weren't getting it right. It took two months and four visits from their service guy to finally get the right parts and get our dishwasher fixed. Sharon was extremely rude every time she called to schedule our service time and wasn't the least bit accommodating even with all the screw ups. For spending so much money you'd think they would be more concerned and willing to help. I will never go here again or recommend them to anyone. And I will never buy another Kitchenaid appliance! The only positive was the professionalism of the service guy. He was so patient with us as we vented our frustrations to him. read more

First off, my microwave blew up so Whirlpool let me purchase one at a discount. Whirlpool chose this company to come replace my microwave and dispose my old one. For people who use microwaves daily, it can be a burden having to wait two weeks for a working one! I followed up with Whirlpool after a almost 2 weeks to find out when I would be receiving my replacement microwave this is when they told me to contact Saddleback Appliances since they will be the ones receiving it and installing my new one. I called Saddleback Appliances was told the the person in charge of the warranty replacements was not in the office they would call back. They never did so I called Whirlpool again to see what the issue was. Whirlpool followed up with Saddleback Appliances and found they had, had my microwave for a week already! Saddleback Appliances then called me back to schedule an appointment for installation which was a few days later. Once the technician arrived, he was meh. Wasn't all that friendly. He did his job very quick which I thought was great at the time but after he left I noticed an extra screw on my counter top sitting there (hope it wasn't needed). Also I noticed wood shavings (if that's what's it called) left all over my counter. He did place a towel over my stove but he didn't clean up after where wood shavings fell outside the towel! I would have thought he would carry a small hand vacuum as I've seen others with similar installations. All in all, I wouldn't go back to this company. read more

Called Scott 2/18/15 @ Saddleback Appliance and told them the new Whirlpool Dishwasher they installed in Oct., 2014 stopped working, and tenant has been without a dishwasher for a couple weeks. They went out on 2/20/15 and determined which part was needed. On 3-5 my tenant called to ask ETA of part - was told they would check and call back - so, on 3-6 he called again and was told the part had not been ordered until last week (2 wks before even ordered) and would take another 2 wks.. I was angry and called Saddleback on 3-6 and they called Whirlpool, and was told the part would be there in 5-7 days and would call tenant to repair. On 3-17 repair man went out and found he had ordered the wrong part.....On 3-23 tenant spoke to Chas. and said not sure when new part was ordered and they don't have an ETA and was told to call back in 3-4 weeks!!!! On 3/23, I then called and spoke to Scott - He couldn't believe it had been that long since my tenant was without dishwasher and said he would check that PM and call me the next day. It is now 3-27 and I have not received a call back. So it has been 6 weeks and still no idea when the part will be delivered and they will complete repair under the warranty from last October. read more

Out of desperation because our refrigerator had died we bought a refrigerator at Saddleback Appliances. I later found the same item at Howard's for much less. So watchout for a price rip off. Also they will nickel and dime you to death on extras such as switching the door of the refrigerator. My washing machine died abruptly during the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders so I couldn't really go shopping for a new one. I had purchased merchandise from Saddleback a few years ago and remembered what a positive experience it was. I called Brigette and explained the situation and she sprang into action! Within a matter of minutes, she identified a quality machine at a good price, gave me a link to view it online, determined when it could be delivered and installed (within one week!), and handled the purchase over the phone. The machine was delivered on the date promised, and installed quickly and efficiently by a very nice man. Great service, great prices, reliable company -- I couldn't be happier! read more

Initally when I walked in to Saddleback Appliances to buy a new GE stackable washer and dryer I was very pleased with Scott, the salesperson and the fact that Saddleback Applicances would be a "one stop shop" for me. By that I mean, they'd take out the old unit, install the new unit and do the complete "hook up" so that all I had to do was start using my machine immediately. The problem arose when I asked Scott if they sold warranties on the unit and if so, how much. He said they did but they didn't "push" them...whatever that means and that they cost 229.00 for a 5 year warranty. That was on June 20, 2020= the date of installation. Scott told me he'd have someone named "Maribell" email me the warranty on Monday, 6-22. When I didn't receive it, I sent an email to Scott asking when he'd send it. I got no response. So on Wednesday 6/24, I called and Maribell answered the phone. I explained my situation to her and said, I'd already paid $229.00 for the warranty and I needed to have a hard copy of it. She told me that they only enter "warranties" every 3 months or so because they have to "pay" to enter them and so they wait for a group of warranties before they ever enter any and provide the paying customer with a copy of the services the warranty covers for the customer who pays $229.00 for it. I explained that I had been told by Scott that I was to have had the warranty copy on Monday, 6/24 emailed to me. She seemed to sigh and said "I don't know what they tell people that." Then she went on to explain that they have to pay a fee to enter the warranties so they only do warranty entries in batches about every 3 months. I said, tell me what the fee is and if it's reasonable I'll pay you the money to have you enter my warranty. I explained to her that it's exptremely important for me to have a copy of what I paid for ---for 2 reasons 1) I have no idea who to call, what's covered, etc for the $229.00 and 2) If I list my condo, a good selling point for me is that the unit is new and also has a 5 year warranty. Bottom line, she was having none of that. At one point she just laughed and said you must really be planning on selling your unit fast. Seriously!!! that's not the point. I find myself having to beg these people to give me the warranty I paid $229.00 for but they just won't do it! I even agreed to pay THEIR FEE FOR ENTERING IT. I am so disappointed in Scott who at first seemed like he'd be responsible and do this one simple thing of giving me my paid for warranty. It is now June 29 and not one word from Scott and/or Maribell. I'm astonished at this total lack of service for something I already paid for. So my advice is Beware!!! I will obviously need to figure out on my own how to either get my money back or get the name of the warrantay company and ask them what I need to do. Saddleback Appliances is a huge disappointment to me..I can't imagine why they'd stonewall me on giving me a copy of my warranty. So BEWARE..if they treat me this way over getting a warranty I paid for....well you can finish the rest of that statement. Incredibly disappointing. read more

I have never given a bad review before, but this time it is appropriate. I purchased a refrigerator about a year and a half ago. The doors were reversed and installed incorrectly, so the seal was never right, causing the defroster to never work correctly. After 1 1/2 years it began leaking into the main frig. The customer service I received was horrible, even though the actual repairman was very nice. The woman on the phone was curt and dismissive and the owner down-right yelled at me. I was forced to purchase another refrigerator elsewhere and will never return to this store. I hope nobody else will either. There is no reason to be rude or condescending to a customer. They were penny-wise and pound-foolish, as I plan to buy more appliances but will never return. read more

I walked into Saddleback Appliances on a whim... It just happened to be close to something else related to our kitchen remodel. Scott Scrip is the real deal. He not only worked to make certain that the appliances were best for us... But made certain the cost was the best to be had. In fact, after making the deal, receiving payment, delivering on time, and basically being in a position to be done with us... He called out of the blue to make certain that we received our GE Profile rebate. We hadn't yet... He got on it and it came within three days. Super knowledgeable and super easy to work with. I give them more than five stars if that were an option. After finding the LG pair plus a SideKick mini washer pedestal add on, we looked for our best price. Costco appeared to be the least expensive with an active sale going on but we would have to give up the color and the SideKick we desired. Enter in Scott at Saddleback Appliance... not only did he price to compete and beat the competition, but again, we received exactly the features we desired most... and received an installation that wasquick (just days after ordering), efficient (less than half an hour), and helpful (we were given good instructions). Two bonuses... the saddleback Appliance Installer switched the positions of our washer and dryer for reasons we could only understand the wisdom after using them... and Scott called us before delivery to let us know there was a scratch on the SideKick pedestal face - he gave us the option of waiting until they had a replacement or installing immediately and replacing the scratched part after receiving it. We chose the latter since our old dryer wasn't working. Scott followed up with us multiple times to make certain the LG rep was following through with the replacement. The scratch was very small but his intentions towards us were very big. The LG rep came in and replaced the SideKick face with the same professionalism and ease as the Saddleback Appliance team. After a horrible experience with our extended warranty company and the vendor they sent to "fix" our very expensive refrigerator, Saddleback Appliance came to our rescue. They worked with the rep and manufacturer to get us a new replacement fridge and provided us with a detailed, personal status every step of the way. Brigette and Ashton were both very helpful and fought for us, as the consumer, to get a new replacement fridge from the manufacturer. If you think you'll get a similar experience from a big box store, think again. Their prices were comparable to what we found online and they're knowledgeable about their products. read more

Bought Speed Queen washer and dryer. Easy transaction, on time delivery and setup. Everything included in price. Didn't nickel and dime you with delivery, set-up, and haul away charges like Sears. In and out in 15 minutes. Washer and dryer works great. Hopefully, Saddleback Appliances will have good repair service if either breaks down. However, Speed Queen rarely has break downs. The technician they sent out the last two times was not very knowledgeable about how to repair the refrigerator or electric range. There's a week wait to get someone to come out. Wow....I asked for a simple item, and left with a new A-hole. Avoid the owners Wife. I feel bad for the husband having to deal with that everyday. We purchased a refrigerator, range, dishwasher and range hood from Saddleback Appliances because we wanted to buy from a local business instead of a big chain store. Our salesperson was pulled away to help a costumer that had an appointment and another salesman named Scott stepped in to help us. Scott walked us through all the appliance features, scheduled delivery and even matched the prices of one of the big chain appliance stores in the area. Scott spent over two hours with us even though he wasn't getting credit for the sale and treated us like the most important customers in the world. Purchased washing machine from Saddleback 3 yrs ago...one of the Whirlpool super efficient ones. Gives trouble a few months ago...they come out and look..and it starts working again. Now it really starts acting up, they come out, the tub has gone wacko and crushed wire bundle, they say shocks bad, they say rubber around front bad. Doesn't seem to be worth repairing...especially if we have to do this all over again in 2-3 yrs. Repair guy casually notes that machine looks out of level. I get my level and check it and sure enough it is WAY out of level. Saddleback installed it in the first place. I do research and leveling is critical for these new type machines. We go to Saddleback and look at new machines....house full of relatives arrives in 2 days. They don't give inch on price and basicly seem to say "so what" to the original poor installation. I've got to get back to work. Oh well. My wife picks out different brand. New machine was installed today....I was working. This evening I go to the garage after dinner take my level and WTF the new one is WAY OUT OF LEVEL!!!! The manufacturer is very specific in trouble shooting that out of level causes vibration. I've bought appliances from them over the last 25 years to avoid dealing with the "big guys". But no more. The sales people do not respect repeat customers. I'm going to level the thing myself.... can't trust the install and repair guys. read more

My husband and I took a chance and traveled 50 mins to Saddleback Appliance in Orange Co. And we couldn't be more happier! We felt right at ease with owners Greg & Bridget ! We thought we had done our research for our kitchen remodel,but they soon opened our eyes to possible issues and generously gave us several options to fit our budget ! We could see that they really cared about our little project and even when we had to return an item there was never any problems. If I could give this company no stars I would. Saddleback Appliances is a warranty referral from Pacific Sales, where we bought our refridgerator/freezer. We needed one part replaced in our ice maker. After coming out 3 times over nearly 2 months they could not get their part ordered correctly. When I finally asked them, before coming out a 4th time to double check the part, the "customer service" rep was so rude and insulting. I asked for her manager who was even more rude and told me to go back to Best Buy/Pacific Sales and have another company help me. They were also at least an hour late for each of their already 2 hour window of time. read more

We had a major kitchen remodel, and were referred to Saddleback Appliances. 1st impression was great. Greeted with a friendly smile by Brigette. She was great in putting together our quote for all appliances, and patient with us, as our remodel went slower than anticipated. After spending over $20K on appliances, we finally enjoyed them on Christmas day. A few days after Christmas, I went back in to return a hood extension (wrong one - too big for what we needed). I called about week prior to give them heads up that I would be needing to return this item, with no return phone call from Scott (Brigette unfortunately is working less hours, so not easy to get in touch with her). When I arrived with my return of the hood extension that I paid $500, I was greeted with hostility and made to feel horrible for asking to make the return. Unbelievable! I had just spent over $20K!!!! I was even smiling when they advised me that I would need to pay the $45 shipping fee back to the vendor, plus 25% restocking fee. I happily agreed to these terms. But this wasn't good enough for them! Joel & Scott were whispering among each other, trying to intimidate me, treating me like a piece of trash/like a thief trying to make a shady return, going to the back office to discuss what actions to take on this return, nothing but disrespect for me, acting like this was the biggest deal to them for me to return an un-opened box, with an extension that I advised them wasn't going to work. I even commented to Scott that I had called last week, and his response was "well they told me you might come in to make the return". They're all smiles when you're willing to spend over $20K on their appliances, but do not dare try to return something of a measly $500, for you'll be greeted with nothing but hostility and anger from Joel & Scott. I was thankful that Brigette did call & email me to apologize for this confusion on this return. She was kind enough to credit me back the 25% restocking fee, and acknowledged that the hood extension I returned, was indeed the wrong one, and would not have worked. We needed a smaller one (which we ended up ordering on our own from another supplier). This experience just left a bad taste in my mouth. I love our new appliances, just wish we had a better experience. Perhaps they treat contractors / homebuilders, male customers better. My impression from Scott & Joel, was that they don't like young female customers who are not in the business...very chauvinistic attitude!! That's exactly how they treated me! read more

I have never given a negative review, but I want to warn you. I purchased a part yesterday that I didn't need. I attempted to return it today (unopened). The owner wouldn't do it unless I bought a new dishwasher. Really? The lady there was rude and I wasn't talking to her (owners wife, perhaps)? I can't imagine buying an appliance from a business that will not return unopened products within 24 hours. I do not recommend buying parts here, and definitely not appliances. Be careful. read more

They are not good at repair. They said dishwasher was fixed but never fixed it and they came out twice and saying I needed a new pump. Glad I didnt believe the repairman and had the actual Bosch company come out and fix it, it was just clogged and didnt need a new pump! Dont trust them and dont give them any money, wished I had not! One Star for the PARTIAL job completed and one star for the guy that did the job, poor guy has been to our house 3 times now and job is STILL not completed... We needed the fan/motor replaced for our convection oven to work and the vent to the stove connection working... So first visit, was initial visit to see what the problem was, second visit a week later, was to install the motor and vent connection, they didn't bring the vent connection and the motor was the wrong part... so today visit 3, 3 weeks from first visit he shows up and only has the motor, no vent... now this piece is nothing special, if this wasn't my in law's house, I'd do it myself, but they prefer to pay a "professional"... not very professional to me. Now we're going on 3 weeks with no vent for the stove top, I am limited to my cooking and I'm very frustrated... So I am hoping within the next day or so he will return for the 4th time with the CORRECT vent piece and I will be able to cook whatever I damn well please without having to open every window in the house. read more

Saddleback Appliances and its owner, Greg, are not concerned about customer satisfaction in the least. Having done around $25k in business with this company in 2015 - I decided to make a personal purchase for a property flip and purchased an open box hood - which I was told was new and at the time of purchase was further told all parts had been double-checked. I explained at the beginning that I could not bring it back to return and needed it complete due to timing of property flip. Having found many items missing upon arrival at home, I advised of the issue (and while the hollow welcome to bring the product back was made), they pursued having the manufacture send out the parts (which arrived 3-weeks later - to an address in a different city). After spending $400-$600 for my contractor's fabrication of parts to hang the hood correctly, Saddleback was unwilling to make things right. They insist that the $75 discount on the open box item (vs. new item elsewhere) was sufficient and neither do they care about losing a client that could bring them significant work. Find anywhere/anyone to purchase appliances from other than Saddleback. Greg only cares about his bottom line and not about you. However, when you do as much business as Saddleback - why care about the small customers when its the contractors buttering your bread, right? Buyer beware! read more
