Shameful behavior from the owner of a company who claims to be a "family man" and owner of pets. Daniel O'Donnal, one of the company owners, promised to repay our family for the vet bills incurred in the death of our female greyhound, and the severe injuries suffered by our male greyhound, as well as make a donation to a local animal organization. Despite a reminder on my part, neither of these things have happened. From the end of July to the beginning of December, I have had no further contact from Mr. O'Donnal, much to our disappointment. AVOID! Whoever said these guys are "shady used car salesmen" is 100% accurate. The service itself was OK (we still had voles after the service), and the service tech was nice, but the high pressure sales tactics they used are beyond shady. I had them play me back the audio of my wife supposedly agreeing to a multi year agreement, and she clearly agreed to nothing and specifically told them we were moving soon and didn't need a contract. I was lied to by the salesman. I ended up signing a contract for something completely different than what was described, when I contacted the company they told me I was out of luck because they had my signature, the only way to cancel was to pay out the whole contract. Now I'm stuck with these liars for 2 years. I literally can't even afford to get them to stop coming to my house. Don't trust them and read every thing they give to you sign no matter what they say to you. I know I should have ready everything before signing, but I was a chump and trusted the guy at the door. That said, they sell the service door to do and push you to sign up on the spot with a contract that was longer than explained. No complaints about the service itself but it wasn't made clear to me that I was a in a binding contract and when I called to ask about it they obviously didn't seem to care. I tried to skip a month since because of the holidays but was I wasn't allowed to and that I would be billed regardless if the service performed or not. Too bad I didn't know about this place BEFORE signing my contract. I felt pressured into the agreement of which the cost is way too much for a product that doesn't work. For each service I ask that my ENTIRE home be sprayed, which is a two level townhome. Each time I have a technician show up with a carry sprayer and they only spray the base board of the exterior. My last service in May 2013 did not work as I have barn spiders both inside and outside my home. And these are babies, which leads me to think there are eggs somewhere in or outside my home and the company claims their product works and is water proof. Spraying in the rain or snow does no good. I tried to cancel my contract but was told I would have to pay 60% of the remaining, of which I had a year contract but was later told it was 2 years. I see a lot of people complain about their contract but I have had a great experience. Granted I never had to cancel but their product and service has always been great. They are there when they say, they call to schedule consistently and I never have to worry about calling them if I have a problem. Yikes, yes this is it. Very big mistake. I signed up with a door to door guy. I have a rule, and I disregarded it. He gave me the name of a neighbor, before I gave my credit card and I called. I spoke to her. She said nice things. She doesn't have my issue. I have a yellow jacket problem - they were unwilling to go into my attic which I specifically!!! pointed out to the sales guy who said 'no problem'. We signed up with Edge this Spring and have been very satisfied. The customer service is excellent, and they have been very responsive when I've called for extra or "between treatment" services. We were pretty much yellow-jacket-free this Summer, and no crickets in the basement! Yea! Terrible customer service. My first treatment was fine, but they missed the following 3 service windows. Ya, wasted 9 hrs of my life waiting for them. Awful. I've tried to cancel service based on their lack of showing up & now they want almost $200 to cancel. Shouldn't they issue a refund after they didn't uphold their end of the contract? I've had mixed experiences with these guys. I had signed up for service on a bi weekly basis and the first tech that came out was great. Sprayed the yard and inside for spiders. But unfortunately the next tech that came out refused to spray part of the house because he said the house was to large for the rate. Now considering this was our third service I explained that it had always been done like this. I ended up calling corporate and found out the new tech lied about how they price things. They sent out a new tech to remedy the situation. I ended up cancelling the service because two weeks after they tried to fix the issue I found a few large spiders inside still alive and ants right by the back door where I watched him spray repeatedly. read more

Honestly, I don't get the other reviews. My neighbor referred me to Edge 4 years ago when we moved in to the area. In 4 years, I've never had a problem. I called Edge, they came to my home and service has been great ever since. It was absolutely a no pressure sell. I have the quarterly service, and they come back whenever I call. (In fact I just called today for wasps which is why I remembered to write this review.) I like that the tech explains what he put down and the results I can expect. Recently, another company came to the door. I told him I already had Edge and he asked me what I pay. He was surprised and said that I must have a long term contract. Nope! I have referred Edge to friends, and wouldn't do it if I had issues. read more

This company has no respect for Solicitation laws. The aggressive sales pitch has "customers" manipulated into signing service agreements, without being afforded the opportunity to read them, and then obligates the signer into a contract for hundreds of dollars, whether receiving the services or not. Upon reading the service agreement does the customer discover that the agreement becomes binding and supersedes any and all prior oral or written understandings between the customer and the door to door sales person, thereby nullifying any conversations prior to signing the service agreement. The customer has now signed an unread agreement consenting to exclusively binding arbitration, foregoing the right to enter a lawsuit, pay all legal fees and collection costs, and 50% of amount owing assessed to a collection agency - the misrepresentation and unconscionability of this door to door sales tactic is unscrupulous at best as a business practice. Great service and one we would never have thought we needed. Our property used to be draped with spider webs. Now its web-free and the spider sightings are way down. Also with all of the construction in the neighborhood we rest easy knowing we have mice traps laid to prevent any unwanted guests. Our neighbors are flooded with anthills but you never see any near our house. The guys are personable and really know their stuff. Worth every penny. read more

Absolute idiots to work with ... the whole company. Contracts with penalties to get out of, different "technician" does the work each time, they can't follow the special instructions written on their invoice, and have to be told exactly what to do each time they show up. As to the actual service, once it's done, the bug spray service is good. The rodent service is just a meal ticket to empty mice from your traps. Nothing is done to solve the problem. We have tried other pest control companies and have not been happy. We had our other company on Saturday and Edge came out on Tuesday and there were wasp nests, spiders and other evidence of pests all over proving that my other company wasn't doing their job. After one treatment I feel so much better and see no evidence of remaining pests at the moment. The technician was very professional and took the time to explain things. Scam Company They suck you in with what seems like a low rate of $79, but then they keep coming and charging for their visits. Then, it is nearly impossible to cancel the service. I called and was put on hold for half an hour, then told that I had to speak to a manager about my service. I just wanted to cancel, but no one could do that. We have been using them for 5 years. Very Professional and always asks if there is anything that is bothering us....Spiders, Wasp Nests, etc. Have been pleased, If we are unhappy or need our mouse feed traps filled they are out within 48 hours usually.... Cant beat the price !! read more

Edge Pest Control has always been great with servicing out home. I love not worrying about having bugs or rodents in my house.

I want to start by saying that this is the first time I have ever written a negative review for a company in my life. I am not a person who typically complains for "shames" a company online, however I feel so strongly about my negative experience with Edge Pest control that if I can save some people some grief in interacting with this company then this is worth my time. We contacted Edge about a month ago when we had an issue with centipedes and spiders in our basement. The local rep I spoke to on the phone was very friendly, knowledgeable and I felt confident in hiring them to come and take our problem. The technician who came out was friendly and courteous. I was a little surprised with his lack of knowledge about the products they were using (and learned that it was his first week on the job) but he was kind, professional and I was happy to have him taking care of our problem. After our second spray, 4 weeks later there were some issues that I wanted to talk through with the company. Much to my surprise I was unable to talk to my local branch and was transferred to a call center in Utah. I spoke to a supervisor named Chandler W. who was incredibly rude, arrogant, and disrespectful to me. I was very kind and courteous and yet he blamed, me the customer for the issues we have had with our service. I was so taken aback back the tone of this conversation that I told him that would like to terminate my service with the company. He literally scoffed at me and said, "Oh you can't do that. You signed a contract." This was the first time that I learned about the deceptive practices this company uses to trap customers. Upon the initial phone conversation with the local rep I was at no time told that I was signing a contract that would include a fee if I was dissatisfied with this service. When the tech come to spray at the house he quickly asked for signatures on the IPAD never once telling me what I was signing and in fact told me that the signatures were to confirm that the service was done. I was never e-mailed this contract initially or was told or about it's repercussions. The rep over the phone told me of the 5 service "agreement" but said nothing of fines or fees to cancel and I was under the impression that I could do this at any time if I was dissatisfied with the service provided. Less than 24 hours after speaking to the manager about this issue I was sent multiple threatening e-mails about being taking to collections, etc if I did not pay this early termination fee the invoice was sent at midnight and had no time to respond to yet. I simply wanted to have a conversation with someone about the issue I was having and the lack of care and concern for this issue was perplexing. Had I not had such an off-putting conversation with the manager, Chandler perhaps I would have continued my service. The people I have spoken to are so incredibly rude and disrespectful it became clear that I could not trust anything they said. I feel lied to and betrayed. I was visible shaking after the conversation with Chandler. How someone in a managerial position can be so rude to costumers is mind-boggling. Now I am questioning what was sprayed in my house and whether or not it was safe. It is now apparent to me is that this is how this company makes money- not on the service it provides but by the forced upon contracts and fees that come with cancelling it. This is the only explanation for how everyone I talked to at the call center offered no solution to my issue. Upon reading other reviews it appears that I am not alone. It's time to put an end to these deceptive practices. Please don't use this company. They prey on people in dire need of help during a pandemic. It's disturbing. We just moved into a new house and found ants and mice droppings and they called me immediately and set up an appointment. But then they had me rush through a contract that said I have 9 more charges that are about 150$ each so resulting in over $1,000. The sales rep NEVER once told me that I had future services. Never once did I know what I was signing and that it was a contract that I couldn't back out of. He said those services are optional and we can cancel anytime. And the next time the guy comes to spray our house he comes inside unannounced(we weren't home) and left the garage door open.. and when we wanted to figure out what had happened we gave edge a call and was put on hold for two hours and they said they'd call me back but never did... they'll answer for new customers but returning customers? No way. They don't care about you unless you're about to pay them. I feel so taken advantage of. Their treatment didn't even work. We now have mice and ants and spiders. It's unbelievable. We are not doing the best financially due to the pandemic and they want over 1000$ from us. It's so sad what they're doing to their customers. I tried to cancel my "membership" over the phone and the gentlemen lied to me over the phone and pretty much agreed with me that this company is slimy and is stealing money and lies to everybody about their contract. I also wrote to the BBB so if they want to fix this then I'd be happy to resolve this issue. If not then I'm taking legal action if necessary because this isn't fair. And one of the contracts I "signed" my boyfriend signed it. It clearly says "I Mia Holland" then the signature says "Zach". That should be a void in contract immediately. I signed up with this company thinking they could handle my wasp and ant problem. They promised to call 2 hours in advance and were suppose to do my garage and basement along with the perimeter of the home. After a few days I noticed the truck outside my home but before I knew it the truck was long gone. They never rang my doorbell or knocked on the door for access to my garage and basement. Totally not what was promised by the sales person. I had to call up and have the tech return on a later date. I was not impressed, but honestly I never used an extermination company before. They call 15 minutes or less before arrival not 2 days as promised, according to my voice message system. If they would give me the 2 day notice as promised I could plan on being aware of their arrival. I have talked to my next door neighbor and they agree the service is a waste of money. I did call the company and talk to the manager of which I explained that the wasp problem existed along with the ants and I also noticed other insects in the house as before the service. I explained my dissatisfaction and he basically told me I signed a contract and am stuck with it. I told him that may be true but being part of a small enclave of homes in the Plum Creek section of Castle Rock and living in Castle Rock for 41 years, I will express my experience with as many home owners as I can. We have an old saying. "if your product is good, one customer will tell 3 or 4. If your product is terrible, the word will get around to 10 or more." I read the other reviews and I unfortunately I have to agree with the negative comments. I truly hope you can provide a better product/service to other prospective clients in the immediate short term for your long term success, but unfortunately I will never be able to provide you business in the future. Wow! I came here to leave a review and I now see so many people are having the same problems with this company. I used them a couple of times last year and they sucked. I still paid them in full and asked them not to come back. A day later a so called "manager" called me back begged for my business and I told them to call back this spring. So what do they do...They call me a day after we received two feet of snow a couple of weeks ago and tell me they are on their way out. WTF? I told them "no thanks", I'm not going to use them any longer. Now they are threatening to send me to collections and we don't even have a contract. Horrible! We had two terrible service experiences after which we sent numerous emails and tried calling many times and never heard back from anyone. We were then charged for a third service that never happened. I finally spoke with someone who accused me of lying about having called over and over and he also said that they would not reimburse me for the service that didn't happen and that in order to get out of the contract I had to pay for 50% of remaining services. When I explained that they had not held up their end of the contract he said that it didn't matter what I said, and he will only let me out of it if I pay.
