Appalled!! We have had Edge Pest Control since Summer 2012 when we first moved into our home as it had sat empty for awhile and we encountered many creepy crawlies. I was a little surprised by the aggressive sales guy but as he said our neighbors all used their service I assumed they must have a decent product and services. I was told I was signing a ONE year agreement which could be cancelled if not pleased with the service. The first thing we noticed after service started was that we still had a wasp problem and ants in our rock-beds and boarders...and still do to this day when it's warm. I would call their office and express my concern and they would resend a tech out to re-service the areas of complaint.....but we still have these issues. My real problem with Edge Pest Control came about when I was diagnosed with cancer last month. My physicians informed that there are recommendations for eating right and things I could do around my environment that aid in recovering from this disease. One of the recommendations was to rid your environment of harmful chemicals....pesticides being one of those "chemicals". I contacted Edge Pest Control and asked to have my service cancelled and the reasoning behind my decision to do so. I was put on hold by the young lady that answered my call so she could speak with her supervisor. When she returned on the line she informed me that they would need something from my physician saying specifically that I could not receive service (and why) as I still had two more months remaining on my contract. I was speechless. The thought that this company who specifically claims "....because at Edge Pest Control, People Matter!" would be so greedy to deny me being released of these measly last two months of my contract is appalling! I even informed the young lady that we may resume service if/when my delicate situation resolved if they would work with me right now but she only stated that they would be rescheduling my service to January 15th instead...... This company has CLEARLY displayed that my money is truly all what "matters", NOT my health and well-being during this difficult time. read more

I've been using Edge for over a year - they have helped with my wasp and spider issues, as well as tackled a rat infestation (not fun for me). They come when scheduled, and there are times when I've had to call - they come back to re-apply without question. Update: I received a call from Morgan who was able to speak with me regarding my concerns. I provided Tyler with some extensive and detailed concerns and feedback and the least they were able to do was listen and take my concerns into consideration. One of my main pain points with this service is that none of the field technicians spends enough time educating the customers of the service. Their initial encounter is mostly trying to get the contract signed. That is not their fault as that must be their process but I provided feedback for someone to actually spend time educating the customer how their product works and what we as homeowners need to do to ensure we see a difference by using their product. I'm appreciative for the phone call and the office taking the time to listen and work through my concerns. Above all else customer service is important and the office's customer service is there. read more

These guys were in my neighborhood and stopped by to tell me about their service and the special pricing. I had hired a pest control company earlier in the summer for a wasp problem. I was still seeing wasps in places that were not treated by the 1st company. The Edge pricing was better and the service more complete, so I gave them a try. I hope the product is a good as their customer service and I will know more about the product after 4 weeks when they come back to do the follow-up treatment. read more

I agree about the deceptive billing practices. The sales guy going around back in 2016 lied by omission. When asked if we could cancel at any time, he neglected to direct us to the fine print on the contract that stated we would be charged for 50% of the remaining service. With a 4 year contract, that amounted to a great deal. Finally cancelled and it only cost me $199.99. Be wary of these contracts from Edge. read more

I wish I had read the reviews on here before signing up with them. A year ago they came to my home and I signed up for what they said was a one year agreement. One year later I called to cancel my service and was told its a 2 year agreement. After waiting on hold to speak to a supervisor the supervisor laughed at me for listening to the sales rep and not reading every line of the contract while the sales rep stood staring at me. Now I have the option of either paying a ridiculous cancellation fee, or continue paying for a service that I won't be receiving as I am moving out of their service area, which I knew a year ago when I signed up which is why I knew it was specifically stated 1 year for me. read more

First time customer. Initial phone consultation was positive. Tech came to the house today. He was early but called ahead to make sure it was ok to come early. He explained to me some of what he found around the house and showed me important areas. The efficacy of the pest control remains to be scene but so far so great. read more

This service is a scam , save your money buy a can of raid . They come when they please if your not home they spray the front call it good . Say they will come back but again at their convenience . I have more bugs after they spray then I did prior , and not dead ones . I have used this company for a couple years without much issue, but recently, they tricked me into paying an additional $80 per month and committing to two summer's worth of payments. If you call in, you'll wait on hold for 30+ minutes. If you ask for a manager, you'll be on hold for several more minutes and then the same person comes back after they remember that they're actually a manager. If they tell you they'll look into something and call you back, don't hold your breath, the call isn't coming. If they say they'll be at your house on a certain day, don't count on it. If they give you a window of when they'll be there, know that this doesn't mean anything, they'll show up when it's convenient to them. They'll send out a survey after they come and ask for your feedback with an option to have them call you... but they'll never call. Seriously, the worst customer experience I think I have ever seen. read more

We thought we were done with Edge and their BS contract, but today I learned that they have been threatening my 87 year old mother-in-law (who originally referred us to them) with collection and sending her the bills from our account. They took advantage of a new mother with a sick baby and are now taking advantage of a senior citizen. This is the single worst company I have ever dealt with. These guys ripped me off. The door to door sales man said I was buying one service and a follow up visit FOR $100. He had me sign his iPad for the visit. Bad on me. I trusted him. Turns out it was a two year quarterly visit for $139 per visit. FIVE-HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS A YEAR! I called to cancel the service. They will not let me cancel. Then I asked them to cancel my winter service. They would not cancel it unless I call back in the month of service! Don't trust them. They are con artists. read more

He answered all my questions and made me feel very good about my decision to have the particular service I needed. My pest problem is no longer my biggest worry! We recently cancelled our service with Edge Pest Control since our contract was up. We decided to go with another company for our service. A day or two after cancelling our edge service I got a call from one of their managers. He wanted to know why we cancelled. He had a problem understanding that I wanted to use a different service and i didnt have to answer his questions. So, a week later....I get another call from this guy and again he is questioning me about my reasoning for cancelling. So I hang up on him as nothing gets through to this guy. A few minutes later he calls me back...on his voicemail he states that he stopped by my house to talk to me about the service....WHAT!@! Mr, Edge pest control if you ever come to my house or call me again, I will file harassment charges against you. Quit being a pest!!! read more

Beware, poor business practice. Salesperson quoted a quarterly price for service. After year I called to cancel service and found out I was in a 2 year commitment. The "Customer Service Manager" told me it was my fault and I should have read the email sent AFTER I signed up for service and if I wanted to cancel i need to pay for half of the remaining installments. My evaluation should be in negative stars. Brianna at "customer care" should reevaluate her position with Edge. She is rude, insolent has no clue how to service an account, refused to let me speak to a manager or another scheduler. She apparently has no idea who her manager is, told me that the branch managers and managers do not speak to customers, raised her voice to me and hung up on me. Brianna is not my peer and should refer to customers as Mr or Ms.followed by theircdir names not by my first name unless given permission. This disrespectful woman is not my peer. Your operators should strike the words maybe, probably, yeah but, and other indefinates from their vocabularies. Instead perhaps saying, "I would be happy to assist you by finding out the answer to your request or get you to the individule that can better assist you. I will take this matter up with the CEO of Edge if he will kindly return my call. I will also call the national number and speak to whoever is in charge of franchises. My huge request was.., to have my preferred technician, Adrian service my residence. Edge decides on dates and times of service, regardless if it is convenient for me so why is it impossible for these buffoons to set up a time when Adrian can perform said services. Adrian is respectful and efficient and I trust his skills implicitly. read more

Horrible!!!! Had them come out to take care of a mouse problem and the problem got worse in 5 months!!! They set traps and sprayed and the traps caught maybe 2 mice total! Hired another local pest company to see if they could help. I mean who wants mice in their house???? James Pest Control came out once and fully inspected the garage and found 2 holes where the mice were getting in. He sealed the holes and VOILA NO MORE MICE!!!! I cancelled the contract but they said we still owe 50% of remaining services which is ridiculous because they did not do the job that was supposed to be done. The techs were nice but never fully inspected the property so it would not matter how many more times they came out, the mice would still be multiplying. read more

We shopped around and decided to go with edge because the sold us on a three treatment plan that you pay per treatment. They told us most people only need two treatments. When it came time for the third plan we told them we have not had anymore issues and are not going to need a third treatment. 4 more times they would call saying they will be there in 20 mins. We call and say we don't need it and after doing that twice they charge us $800 for canceling. Something we were never told about and the one thing we signed when they came the first time we were told is "just a consent to treat" upon getting the bill for canceling we called to inform them we were never told about them charging double to not perform the last treatment we told them we were not told if that was the case we would have spent the $400 for them to treat instead of $800 to cancel. They refused to let us do the last treatment unless we open a new contract and we would still owe the $800. They told us we could make payments instead of the $800 then bill us the full amount a week before Christmas. Horrible customer service and they rope you in making you think you're only going to need to pay for two treatments then charge you double and threaten you with being sued when they charge you twice the final treatment to cancel it. read more

Do not use this service! There really is not a reason to get into a contract for pest control. It locks you in whether the service is effective or not. Canceling or changing the agreement is impossible once you sign up. And opting out is not an option as they will aggressively legally pursue you. Just don't! read more

Used Edge for a couple of year. They all ways want me to give them a credit card to keep on file. I like paying with a check. Once I gave the check to the gentlemen who sprayed the house. That check did not get cashed for over two months. During the two months I was receiving phone calls telling me I owed them money. When I called to tell them I paid the gentlemen the day he sprayed they said that I should never pay that way. I should give them a credit card that they can charge after every service. In June I received an application and wrote a check once I received the bill . I mailed the check using their statement stub and their envelope. The check was never cashed. Received another treatment in August and wrote a check which was never cashed. So for the last 5 months I have been getting phone calls saying I owe money that I have paid. When I called and spoke with a manage (Brian) who said he would check into the issue and would call me back. He never did call me back and the next week I received a two calls on the same day saying I was going to be sent to collections. They cancelled my service and charged me a cancellation fee of 54.50 because I have not paid .. I called and paid the bills including the cancellation fee just to be done with this company. I had to stop payment on both checks just in case they happen to find them now that I paid with a credit card. What kind of company can not deposit a check??? I agreed to the service based on a military discount. Turns out the 'discount' was just an additional $89.99 charge. This is supposed to be a quarterly service, but I have been charged five times (once for $89.99 and four times for $119.99) in nine months and only serviced once. I tried to cancel the service and just pay the 50% penalty but was told I could not cancel without speaking to a manager, but they would not let me speak to a manager (told me one would call me in the next week or so). Just to give credit where credit is due, last week's 'service' did involve a guy coming out and spraying a couple of my neighbor's side windows. I challenge anyone associated with this company to come to my house and insert their hand in the places I still see black widows on my property. read more

Buyer beware. I had been a long time customer of Edge - a few years - but was shocked when my financial situation changed, and I needed to cancel my service. I called and thought I had taken care of it over the phone. Alas, was I wrong. A guy showed up to service my property the next quarter anyway. I called again and was told that I still had 4 more services on my remaining term (that's a full year) and to cancel I would be charged 50%. I had no idea I was even on a contract, and there is no recourse for me because they auto debt my bank account. Great. So my advice - run - unless you too want indefinite services that you are somehow obligated to pay for whether you were aware you had "signed up" for them and whether you want them or not. read more

This is a live and learn situation. When I unexpectedly moved (divorce) I had to pay off the contract since I moved to an apartment. For that reason, I would look for a service that was not a contract, but a pay as you go. Their service itself was fine, but I don't like the 2 year contract. They did a fair job last 2 years. They showed up uninvited in Dec 2013 left a card that said they hoped we didn't mind. I called and said I did mind they basically said to bad. They asked what they could do to make it up to me I asked for a refund they said they couldn't do it. I said I wanted to cancel the person on the phone said he couldn't do it needed a supervisor. I talked with supervisor I never had such a difficult time cancelling anything after I got very heated he finally said ok. Supervisor called the next day said he thought our previous conversation had gone poorly, no kidding. He asked what he could do to make it up to me I said he could stop calling me. Be careful of their contracts. The guy that comes to the door to get you to sign up will make promises on pricing and say he will waive charges and get first treatment taken care of if you agree to sign up for 2 years and then when you sign and initial the boxes on the electronic tablet you get locked in and when calling to tell them to try to correct this they tell you its a contract and deny ever saying they told you anything about waiving the initial spray. Yes they gave me a $40 discount on the first service which brought the initial down to $120. I was billed for $119 right away but didn't dispute the charge with them right away because I thought the next service might not have a charge since most places like to get a payment before they give the discounts. 30 days later I am billed again for $140, at this point I called them to figure out what what going on and was told their was nothing they could do but would have a manager review. A manager didn't take long to review and called me back and again stated they couldn't do anything for me but could forward me the electronic contract which they did. I have used other pest services in the past and this is the first one that requires a 2 year commitment / contract and you cannot cancel without paying a penalty. I am the owner of several rental properties and this is the last place I will call when a pest service is needed. I am thankful that I only signed the contract for the property I live in and not my rentals. The reason I have given them 2 stars and not 1 star is because the technicians who came to spray are very professional and respectful so my biggest complaint is with the salesman who lied, the expensive prices and the managers who are not willing to resolve the issue. read more

Edge Pest Control is predicated on a scam - they have you sign to go ahead with service, however, what you will later find out is this signature is a 2 year contract for service with a 50% up front cancellation fee. Regardless, their work is sloppy, and all customer service such as billing, notification of service, it's all automated so when something goes wrong, it will go under the radar until it's a real issue, as was in my case. There are other pest companies that will work with you, rather than play games and tricks. You have been warned. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am so disappointed in them. I saw activity within a few days of there service which they commit to re-service, but because I wasn't signing up for auto renews with them they refused unless I went under a contract again. This would have been such an easy fix, but because I declined to take additional services they took my money, which normally covers 3 months of protection and wouldn't come back because I didn't want another contract. BUYER BEWARE. I signed a one-year contract (May 2012 to May 2013) for them to spray every quarter. So, my math tells me they should have sprayed the last time in May 2013, but they showed up again in June...the day after I moved, sprayed again and charged me for it. I called to complain and they said I initialed stating that after a year the contract renews automatically. Sure enough, I did initial, so shame on me, so I will own up to my responsibility, but they should not have sprayed in the first place, so they need to own up to their end of the agreement also. I'm in agreement with the rest of the reviews, this outfit will not be in business much longer if this is the way they conduct business. Also, be sure to call and cancel any agreement you may have prior to it expiring so you don't forget. Otherwise, they will keep treating your house and charging you for it...whether you live there or not. read more

Workers continually come to my door pushing these products. They are aggressive, and unwanted. I've told them we aren't interested, and they continue to push. If they think I will ever work with their bossy, intrusive, non-professional staff, they are sadly very wrong. Will be alerting our HOA in Pradera to this issue. Go away. read more
