Prentiss and his team traveled nearly halfway across the country for the job and were still energized upon their arrival. Not only were they ready to go, they began loading boxes within minutes. We knew that with over 100 boxes to load they'd be maxed, but they often moved three at a time. They didn't buy us a lot of time to get anything else packed (if it wasn't already) due to their packing speed into the U-Haul. His crew moved tables, mirrors, dressers, three entire bedrooms, a treadmill and multiple couches. They shrink wrapped everything to a tee and uses furniture wrap to protect my items. I was amazed at the team's ability to move a 1,000-pound safe down a flight of stairs so effortlessly without scratching the wooden floor. Loved how he padded the floor in anticipation of the safe coming off the stairs. Perhaps even more impressive was how he and his team moved couches and the treadmill behind the house on a hilly terrain while keeping their balance. Olympic-type athleticism and balance while moving furniture gets five stars from me. All of the job was to pack the entire four bedroom house was done on four hours and would have been done quicker if everything had been packed. Immaculate job from great team!! I made the (not so) genius decision to move to downtown St. Louis on the same day as the Fourth of July parade. It was horridly humid and hot, and the streets around my apartment building were blocked off. Poor Prentiss and Corey had to park 16 blocks away and walk through that mess to get to me, but they were very polite and professional throughout the whole process. They worked so hard and got my truck unloaded quickly. There were no surprises with price--everything was exactly what Prentiss and I had agreed upon prior to the day of the move. I would also like to note that Prentiss and Corey were especially patient, kind, and gentle with my 77 year old father, who has Alzheimer's. He tried to help them in the beginning, but he ended up getting in their way. It took me a while to convince him to let them handle everything, but they were fantastic! Best in the biz. Prentiss shows up on time and works with a purpose. Most reasonable hourly price I found after tons of research and calling around. You pay what they quote and they earn every penny. He called ahead and came early because my cross-town move was threatened by rain and flat out got it done. They packed the truck so skillfully and tight that any suburban dad would give them a 5 out of 5 fannypack rating! You can rent your own Uhaul and pay a cheaper hourly if you only want help with the big stuff, or he will show up and handle everything including the truck for a still reasonable fee. These guys work hard carrying all the heavy ass stuff that your lazy friends wouldn't do for beer and pizza, so make sure and tip graciously. I called Prentiss a few weeks in advance of our move because he had such great reviews here on yelp. Not only was he direct and professional with the planning and scheduling (and pricing) of the move, but he and Corey were fast, safe, efficient (as the name says) and a pleasure to work with. Awesome guys! We moved within the city, about five miles from one-story house to second floor condo. The price was very fair, and Prentiss was in communication prior to and on the day of the move. They wrapped and padded everything that needed it, and they always asked about anything they weren't sure about. No skimping, no cutting corners, no trying to add time. Nothing like that. Their name says it all. I was moved with no damage, their techniques and diligence got it done quickly. As a side benefit, their calm, confident and pleasant disposition made the stress of the move much more palatable. An excellent experience. After numerous issues with major over the road moving companies, this amazing company was able to help me pack my U-Hall with less then 12 hours notice. They got there early, finished in an hour and a half and above all else did the job extremely well! They where very nice and courteous! I would hands down use them again without hesitation. We hired Safe and Efficient Moving through UHaul to deliver the UBox to our new house. The UBox arrived a few days early to the UHaul site in Woodstock. I called Prentiss to ask if he would be available to move the UBox early. Prentiss delivered the UBox the next day, and helped with unloading and moving furniture into the house.
