Ricardo did an amazing job fixing the heater and explained how all the wires work and the names of all the parts. He arrived on time and was very helpful and friendly

Quality service and experienced technicians. Installed earthquake activated gas shut off valve and great experience. Quick response and friendly office staff

The level is perpendicular to the wall, the copper pipe is not after water heater was moved with force.

The following is based on my personal experience of being a Home Owner that pays HOA dues that paid for SGS services. This is not the smell good plumber or the good deed plumber. The 2.5 stars on Yelp should have told us something, but I had absolutely nothing to do with hiring SGS. A woman who lives in the building was so incredibly stupid she was flushing massive amounts of Wet Wipes down the toilet. As Ron White states, "Can't Fix Stupid." Sewage back flowed due to the clog, I was told over 15 plumbers were called and the only one available on a Sunday afternoon was SGS, That alone should tell you something. The job dragged on for over month as a section of our sewer line from the building to the city sewer line had to be replaced. Our toilets, sinks, showers and dish washers were all shut down for a month. A friend who owns several apartment buildings in Santa Monica saw no reason the job shouldn't have been completed in less than two week. I worked for a contractor the summer after I graduated High School. One of the hard fast rules he made sure everyone knew their first day was: "Never, Ever Use a Customers Tools for any reason." This is not a rule SGS follows. The first two days they were on site, they used our hoses and brooms. The hoses were neatly stored on a hose stand. Once SGS employees were done with them, they did not clean them up or put them away properly, the hoses were just dropped on the ground by the hose stand in a big pile. Then to make things worse SGS left a hose completely covered with God Knows What? SGS was working on a sewer line, the hose had to be thrown out, I was not going to attempt to clean up the hose it was disgusting. They left mud in the laundry room, behind the building, dirt in my garage as well as the mess left behind in the alley. SGS installed a water heater in the laundry room, it is a tight fit, but previous plumbers have made it work. My water heater is connected with copper pipe that come straight out of the wall perpendicular at 90 degrees, No flex tubing. I clearly have labeled in three locations on the water heater, DO NOT MOVE. As well as I spoke to both SGS plumbers and politely told them my water heater was connected with copper pipes and please do not move my water heater, they agreed. They were not truthful. The copper pipes that connect my water heater are now BENT to one side, The spot on the floor that I marked with a Sharpie was no longer at the base of the water heater as well as all the dust was removed from the water heater where they man handled the water heater to move it, Keep in mind, this a 55 gallon water heater full of water. They had absolutely no care for my water heater as long as they completed their job by any means possible. Personally, I would go to school and become a certified plumber before I would hire this contractor again. HAVE QUESTIONS? SEE PHOTOGRAPHS.

Excellent service! I requested two things - firstly to (re)install a water purification system that…read moreI had installed myself (but not quite right!!) and get it functioning and secondly to check out our dishwasher which simply did not function from day 1 of our apartment lease and the management simply do the absolute minimum. He looked it over and said yes I can come back and fix it - or I'll do it right now for a small additional charge. Great value for my money and time. Both jobs done to our complete satisfaction in less than an hour!!

Please think twice about this plumber…read more SoCalGas said I have a slow gas leak, and in order to restore service, a plumber would have to test and fix the leak. Less than 5 minutes after Jose's arrival -- WITHOUT doing any testing ... or even looking at the hookups (water heater, dryer & stove), he said I would have to replace ALL my gas lines. This did not sound right. When I asked him why he wasn't going to test the lines, he said "they're all underground" and shrugged, as if this was the obvious answer. When I pushed back, he said he could "test the gas meter for leaks" pointing to the couplings on the meter. Again, this made no sense -- the gas company had just tested the meter, and years ago I had the same situation and a plumber did pressurized air testing and fixed a small leak. When I told Jose I knew for a fact that lines can be tested he immediately pivoted in his tracks, quickly mumbling, "You don't understand...I'm outta here." (Well, Jose, I understood very well what you were about. And, yes, you are outta here.) Needless to say, despite what he told me on the phone, Jose clearly had no capacity or expertise to test my gas lines. He hoped I was ignorant and uninformed (and desperate to get the gas turned back on). He clearly tried to dupe me into believing I needed to REPIPE all my gas lines. Totally reprehensible, unethical, opportunistic behavior. BEWARE.

Much to my dismay, I discovered a geyser shooting water up from a pipe in the rear of my property…read morethat I'm trying to prepare to rent. It was rather late in the day on Saturday so I just turned the water off and decided to deal with the problem on Monday. So, on Monday, I did a drive-by to assess the situation and discovered another area where water was bubbling to the surface and resulted in quite a large muddy spot. Well now, my head just hurt. So I turned to Yelp to look up 'Plumbers' and started reading reviews and I noticed that Rapid Action Rooter had sooooo many positive comments. I sent a message through Yelp describing the problem and a few minutes later I received a reply from the owner. I called Mandel, the owner, and he said he could come out that afternoon. That was yesterday. Mandel and his assistant were waiting for me when I arrived, both dressed in uniform with company info on the shirt. After I showed him the problem areas he and partner got to work. Mandel discovered there was a hole--more of a slit, in the middle of this piece of copper pipe (buried about 3 feet underground )--so weird. Have NO idea how could've happened...or WHEN! Mandel explained the damaged portion of the pipe needed to be removed and replaced, welded back together. He was transparent about the price and method of payment--uses Zelle, which is super convenient! During our conversation, though, I mentioned some other jobs that needed to be completed in the home. Well, before I could say, "do you know anyone who does...?", Mandel was telling me about his drywall & paint guy, his flooring guy, his electrical guy. But more than merely tell me about the tradesmen, he actually called them before he left so that I could coordinate a day/time to meet with them AND Mandel told them that HE would text them my contact information. What??!! I felt an incredible sense of relief knowing that most, if not all, of the remaining projects in the house will be completed. And it's because I had the great fortune---blessing, actually, of meeting Mandel. I would select Mandel and Rapid Action Rooter Plumbing again and again!!! He's the best!!!
