The plumber was anxious about the job, which stressed me out. He complained and was worried he couldn't fix the clog. He used a snake to open the clog in the kitchen sinks, but broke the P trap pipe and charged me to repair it, though he didn't charge for the new plastic P trap pipe. The final charge was more than twice what other plumbers have charged to snake my sinks. Too expensive, and the plumber had a really negative attitude. I'll go elsewhere next time. ​ read more

They ended up removing and replacing toilet. Put in new wax ring. Didn't sound right afterwards and I called them back and said I thought wax ring was not installed correctly because it's not flushing the same. He said it's okay. I later had to get another plumber in to fix the problem. Would not recommend. read more

3rd update: Great technicians, but the management is remarkably intrusive. I am currently being called repeatedly after hours (7:50 pm and 8:01 pm) by managers who are upset about this review. Their reputation management consists of blaming the Cousy for their honest feedback. I've updated this review to reflect that I am now being harassed to change it. Pro tip for management: if you want better reviews, stop calling your customers at 8 pm to argue with them. 2nd update: Unbelievably, management called me after my updated review at the score of 1, and they are still trying to push the narrative that there was a "personality mismatch" between me and the technician. I have told them point-blank--multiple times now--that the technician was perfectly fine. The issue is, and always has been, the office's poor management, lack of communication, and scheduling failures. The fact that they are calling me to ask "what's going on with the tech" proves they aren't actually reading my feedback or taking accountability. They would rather scapegoat their own field employee than admit their office protocols are broken. Truly bizarre and a total waste of time. Even as a customer, I genuinely feel for the trade. I had hoped that if more techs were like the one I met--offering a reasonable price and a clear, detailed scope from the start--it would only take a few conversations to make a decision, and everyone would walk away satisfied l. It seems that I have been too optimistic. The realities of corporate structure and bureaucracy appear to affect this trade as well. 1st update I feel obligated to update here given my previous glowing recommendation. It is true that their tech who came to my house provided the best quote paperwork with a decent price. BUT, it seems that they have serious management issues. They have been ghosting my questions (mainly clarification, and a few item bargains like including what services, not the price) to finalize the contract. Their answers became vague over time to the point that they answered one question and completely ignored my immediate following up questions. It is a mystery btw their fancy communication system and occasional text messages. Sometimes you really do not who you are talking to. I finally ran out of patience and gave them a notice that they had to give me a specific confirmation and starting date, or I will have to move on. Then it gets even more frustrating. They claimed the earliest starting date is next Monday when I made it crystal clear when they did site visit that I wanted it to start this week. I even had my entire bathroom floor removed to get ready for the start. If they could not even get communication and allocation of tasks right, it is difficult to believe they could get all sorts of pipes installed properly where you cannot really see. It is a waste of my time, and the time of other plumbers who have to write up quotes, invoices, or proposals. read more

I requested through Yelp for an emergency repair on a holiday and granted they are only one of 2 that reached back, so that's a plus. They asked for my phone number for someone to reach me and told me to be "on the look out". No one reached back out and I followed up and still got no response. The plumber, Gleb who replaced my horrendously corroded shower handle for hot/cold was remarkable. He was so knowledgeable as the product was European, over 10 years, no installation guide available and yet, he was able to replace the unit in under 30 minutes, tested for leaks, and very thoroughly cleaned the bathroom counter and shower, even though I told him it was not necessary as I was going to clean the entire bathroom post-installation. This business impressed me in a way that I haven't been impressed in a long time. They are easy to contact, and actually speak with a live human being, even on the weekend. I was able to schedule an appointment at time that was convenient, and given a two hour window for their arrival. My plumber - Paul. - called me from the road to tell me he was on the way. This kind of customer service has become really rare. Paul has been in the business for over 20 years and was able to diagnose the cause of the problem with my toilet almost instantly, and repaired it within minutes. He stuck around to test it again and again to be sure the problem didn't come back. I was absolutely shocked when he informed me that there would be NO CHARGE for the service call!!! I fully expected to pay for his time. We had a gas leak so the gas company turned off our gas and told us to hire a plumber to find and fix the leak. I desperately contacted Pacific Plumbing at 8pm asking if they could send someone out ASAP, and they responded immediately! Gleb came at 9am the next day and found two different leaks. He not only fixed the leaks but replaced some rusty pipes with galvanized steel pipes and applied black tape to three different pipes on the property to make them up to code. SoCal gas was able to come turn the gas back on by 6pm, and I was able to finally take a hot shower, thank God! Gleb even waived some fees for me! In total I paid $2,640 ($240 for inspection and $2,400 for repair). Gleb had such a great attitude and was such a hard worker and was so knowledgeable and experienced.
