Safe Lube Plus helped me after every Jiffy Lube was closed and Tires Plus said "We have some things to do before we close." I called them in front of the Virginia Street Tires plus and asked if I were to drive there now, would they be able to correct my overfilled oil. I had my one year old son and wife and was just trying to get up the mountain to my house before mnt rose turned into an icy death trap. I had groceries in my trunk and my son was. . . Well he was a one year old if you know what I mean. I also had just spent $130 getting that oil and a new battery. I was a little pissed. James answered the phone and said come on down, I will take care of you myself. He met me right as I pulled up. Checked that It was me, then said "don't worry about getting out of the car. This will be super fast." We pulled in and and he was done in a flash. One of the other workers came by and showed me they got my oil exactly on the full line to make sure I knew it was 100%. I asked James how much I owed him and he said "don't worry about it. I've got this." I said are you sure, slightly blown away. He said "Of course, it's what people are supposed to do right?" I said no. Nobody does that. Even if it was a small fee, he saved me money after I spent a good chunk already! It meant the world to me and my small family. We live on the mountain but we really shouldn't. Money is VERY tight and it's things like this that make a huge difference in getting through the day. Needless to say I will drive past every jiffy lube and every other service station to get to this Safe Lube Plus. James was incredible! read more

Great spot normally--only one employee wearing a mask and was wearing it upside down, plus didn't cover nose. Wouldn't bother me that much because they are outside, but they do pop their head into your window to talk to you, handle your credit card, and paperwork. So I'd rather just have them not do that. I understand mask wearing or using soap/hand sanitizer may not be required for your business, but some customers may prefer that you do. I certainly would--so just a message for customers that care about covid-this business is not taking many precautions. read more

Saw this place as I drove off the freeway when I was a little behind on my oil change (5k miles) and decided to give it a try. As I drove into their lot and began service, one of the staff started a conversation with me. First of all, I thought it was really cool that I got to sit in my car during the oil change, and secondly it was really pleasant to have someone to talk to during the wait. And before long (I think it was like 10 minutes or less), the entire process was all done. I remember waiting a minimum of 30 minutes for my past services, long gone are those days after finding Safe Lube. The only slight downside is the price, it is not on the cheap side. But I would rather pay more for reliability. And also I wish someone had told me that there was a $5 off coupon on their website, as I would have appreciated that. Technician "DC" was sarcastic and rude, but worst of all put SIX quarts in an engine that clearly said on the dipstick FOUR quarts. Did not check air filter and coolant that both needed service. Put 38 lbs of air in new tires that call for 32 lbs. Manager Wayne was equally sarcastic, "do you want me to drag him out and beat him in front of you? I know he is a smart ass but he is our best employee" Really, this guy is your BEST? He also said "we made a mistake" but did not apologize and was confrontational and defensive. Told I did not deserve compensation for a second trip in to remedy, BAD. Reading a dip stick should be a bare minimum, professionalism and being nice would be a new thing to learn in how to treat customers. Attitude comes from Manager down clearly. I found Safe Lube on Yelp and thought I would give them a try. I'm very pleased that I did; I'm not kidding when I say I have never been treated better when getting an oil change. The staff greeted me promptly, were very friendly and professional, they updated me on every step, and when they found I was missing an air filter, they promptly ordered one from and auto parts store and had it installed quicker than if I had driven there myself. And, there was no markup on the air filter. The price is great, service is quick, and I love that I get to stay in my car and watch them work. Highly recommend for all the right reasons. read more

Since I read these reviews I wanted to see if they were accurate so i went today to get an oil change and smog check. Its was fast, easy and the guys were nice. They replaced my filters, did a check over my engine, changed the oil in about 15 minutes. They submitted my smog fee and everything was taken care of. It was easy. No complaints. I pulled into the parking lot by safe lube and saw a friendly smile. I asked if there was a place where I could get my tires filled with air. The man who greeted me said just pull in and we'll get you all fixed up. It was such a relief. I was trying to figure out how to put air in my tires during the time of the coronavirus. I tried to figure out the air machine at the gas station. I wasn't sure how to use it and whether I was going to have to "mask and glove up" to go into the gas station office to find out what to do. I am one of the more vulnerable people of our population so getting air in my tires was concerning me. I am very grateful for the help of these fine people during this difficult time. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place. I finally found a forever home for my two vehicles. Everyone that works here seems genuine and knowledgable. I work on my vehicles as much as I can, myself, so I know what's going on for the most part, and the crew that runs this place are honest and hard working. You're in great hands here, and I feel the advice I get is great/sound advice. This place isn't looking to offer extra services that your car doesn't need, like so many others that give mechanics a bad name. I've had a ton of work done on my vehicles here and haven't gone anywhere else since I found them. Many of my coworkers come here to get their vehicles serviced as well (a couple I referred and some that just coincidentally use Safe Lube too). I've used quite a few mechanics around town and there are some good ones out there (and some terrible ones) but none compare to this place, honestly. For an oil change you are getting your money's worth. Friendly service they don't try to sell you on more. 40$ roughly for oil change and they have a coupon online if you print out you get 5$ off.
