They had two adorable older dogs up for adoption In the store. Workers inside were very friendly. We enjoyed chatting a little. One lady outside was a little rude, but that's ok. The prices are amazing. My friend bought a skirt that was name brand for $4. They even have men's clothes. Lots of cheap used pet stuff, right down to huge pet beds that look new. I love that it goes to such a great cause. Definitely worth checking out. They have house stuff like linens and decor and appliances, clothes, purses, jewelry and shoes and even swimsuits!

This is just one of many beautiful sweethearts that needs love.

This is the review I left for Wags and Whiskeys pet rescue in st Augustine on google, who have now…read moreblocked me on Facebook and deleted my comment on a post they posted yesterday. While writing my google review I read through others and it's crazy how many people experienced the same thing if not worse... these kittens are all sick with ringworm and other illnesses and still adopted out. If you know me you know I don't post or comment on anything but I'm a sucked for fur babies and this has not sat well with me at all. " I wish I could give them zero stars or do more. My experience has been floating around in my head ever since I left the shop. I commented on Facebook and was then blocked and deleted shortly after so I will be making my own review and post separately. I went there 5/16/2026 and there was kitten named "bagel" who I was going to adopt. Come to find out before filling out the paperwork to proceed with the adoption process, hey wanted $400 as an adoption fee due to him being a "designer" cat which he was not. He is just a mixed breed with some pretty chocolate coloring, these kittens are surrendered to them by people who find them outside. The way they were talking about him was as if he was a designer bag and that he would absolutely get sold for $400 which is so crazy to call yourself a rescue and then ask for that much profit. I also overheard them saying "all of them are sick" sounding panicked but more s panicked they would not be making the money rather then worry about the well being of these babies. I have heard from multiple people that these kittens end up having medical conditions due to them not \being correctly cared for and speeding up the vet process to quickly adopt them out. Bagel could not have been more than5-6 weeks old and had already had all hi shots and been neutered and his age was admitted to me by an employee as well but it was not something they cared about. They claim to have designer kittens and make up a whole entire profile on these cats with them only being there less than 24 hours and make up the breed, listing them as "exotic" just because they think they can get away with the high prices. I have rescued animals my whole life and have never paid this much on any pet ever, I adopted my current cat a year ago from the lay county humane society and it was so easy and amazing process, they charged $40 which covered neuter/spay and shots. They need to be shut down for abuse and neglect and for the simple well being o these cats. It is abuse in my books being treated too young or having pre existing illnesses and still being sold for this amount of money. They will never take accountability for their behavior and it is incredibly sad that they still receive kittens so often."

We should have done more research before adopting two beautiful kitties in March. Our Siamese mix…read morehad scabs all over her neck and when I asked about it the one ladies eyes got all large like she was annoyed and looked over at the foster lady who had been taking care of this kitten as well as who even knows how many other animals. They assured she had medicine and was being treated, and this was of no concern. They told us we had to adopt another kitten/cat because she needed a playmate and couldn't be alone. We really were not expecting to have to adopt another kitty but we fell in love with her instantly. She of course was a "designer" kitty which how is that accurate when she isn't even full Siamese? So their fee for designer kitty's is $400, and $200 adoption fee for all other cats. It would be one thing if they were well taken care of, but they are not at all and after doing research you find that they have a long history of adopting out very sick kitties and cats where unfortunately some have died. Our cats have had multiple URI's which the Siamese had when we adopted her, but we again were reassured she was given meds by their vet, and we would be sent home with meds to finish her treatment. After almost getting better she got sick two more times, and then our other kitty got sick as well, so we have a hefty vet bill for these sick kitties. We have fallen in love with our furbabies so we are blessed to have them but had we known beforehand we would likely have gone elsewhere so please keep this in mind and when I went to their facility, I did get a creepy feeling which I figured I was being silly. Always listen to your gut. It also smelled horribly that they need to clean the litter boxes more but not sure that would be a reason for concern but it's gross and if this were my place I would clean better. I feel so badly for these poor babies.
