One of the COOLEST experiences I think I ever had!! Being an avid James Bond fan - I was to the moon, over the rainbow, and on Cloud9 when I saw all the themed rooms, memorabilia, and sat in the rotating booth (yes you read that correctly, the place was that cool)! The servers are called 'agents', there are fun coded messages throughout the restaurant for you to solve if you want, and the food was good too. Even the process to get into the restaurant is QUITE memorable, with secret codes and all, but that's all I can say without ruining the surprise. There is an actual piece of the Berlin Wall on display, a rotating booth, a trick bathroom door that 'leads to nowhere', signed autographs, and memorabilia from almost EVERY spy movie over the last 70 years, a news room, and even a fun process where you need to pick up a random pay phone to get a passcode in order to leave out the back entrance - it's all so extra, so on theme, and overall an amazing time. We were on vacation and looking for somewhere to eat. We found this place and it sounded fun. So we were having trouble finding the door but it's a red door in an alley. We walked in and were greeted by a man we gave a password we pulled a lever and a secret door opened. We walked in a creepy hallway. Then we were in the restaurant. This place is so cool no matter how old you are. All the waiters and waitresses are in character. You can do a scavenger hunt that my son loved. There was also a magician. The bartender was also so nice. The decor is top tier here. The food was good and very filling. We have never been to anything like this. This place is extremely creative and genius. This place is so cool. I've wanted to go here for so long and I finally came for my 21st birthday. I love all the little interactive things like in the bathroom. I also love all the little spy references. Also just all the little history references on the menu such as "The Bay of Pigs" or "The Cuban Missile Crisis". I would totally go here again. Everyone told us we had to try safe house in Milwaukee but our experience wasn't what I was expecting. It was a very fun atmosphere to find and get into the restaurant. However we were seated near the kitchen and next to a wall that had "clues" on it so there were constantly people standing next to our table. And our table was super sticky. Everyone at the bar sees you perform these antics and razes you when you enter. This was such a cool place to visit, but go somewhere else for food and drinks! My party ordered a couple different cocktails and we all tasted them. They were STRONG, and none of the flavors promised in the descriptions (like watermelon or pomegranate) were present. They just tasted like jet fuel, but they were pretty. We all agreed that the fried cheese curds at Culver's are better and more reasonably priced. The burger and the mac&cheese were enjoyed by others at our table, but the fish tacos that 2 of us ordered were inedible. From the doubled up but weirdly inseparable tortillas that were too much for the fillings, to the hard-fried fish that was difficult to chew...we left a lot of tacos. Our table was filled with unconsumed food and cocktails, and our bill was over $150 for 4 people. We did have a lot of fun on the scavenger hunt and looking at all the neat espionage themed decor. Unfortunately, some of the features, like the ladies room Burt Reynolds button, weren't working that day because of maintenance in the basement, but we had a pretty good time choosing spy names and we really enjoyed the good humor and friendliness of the staff. read more

3 women went to lunch before an afternoon theater show. It was fun trying to get in since we didn't know the secret password. Luckily we did as we were told and the door opened to a cool restaurant that has super style. We were seated in a raised and private small table/room which was cool in itself. The cheese curds are some of the best we have had, and I had the chicken Caesar salad which was really crisp and tasty. Another had the Blackbird chicken sandwich which was also tasty. The third ordered The Columbian. She was not thrilled with the chicken seasoning and asked to replace it, which our wonderful server did for her. The total bill with drinks, food, tax, and tip for 3 was $90 but we are good tippers also. At the end of the meal, our Agent/server asked if we wanted to spin our room around to leave more secretively, and how could we say no?! So spin we did and were let out in the Pub across from the theater. Note: on the bill there is a $3 Entertainment fee. When I asked about it I was told it helps cover the costs of the agent at the front door as well as keeping all the moving parts of the restaurant in working order. A bit odd to me but not enough to argue it. Both things made the meal fun. From the atmosphere to the menu and service this was a very fun meal. We will return with our children and grandchildren and spend more time learning the stories and reading the walls, which was limited as we had theater to attend.
