We "Chatted online" with someone at Safelite and after a few minutes of determining what we needed, we were asked to "Stop by the local shop and tell them what you need." I did. Mike at Safelite Boulder reglued the mirror. This took about 30 minutes. There was no charge. read more

I just had the super high tech windshield on my Highlander done by this team and they are amazing. I say high tech because it is - and it's shocking to hear that it will be a significant charge for them to calibrate the safety systems and cameras to the new windshield. When it was beautifully explained to me by Tara Fuller and Jerreh Nakamoto about the master technicians time required to synch things up it all made total sense. Toyota requires this - it isn't Safelite's idea. They do it very well though. I met the boss Michael Arguello and thanked him for my excellent service and he is super. Dishonest. Glass is defective. They don't honor the warranty. And the workmanship is poor. They sold us a $500 rear Subaru Forester window, which spontaneously imploded a few days later while my wife was driving 20 mph down 9th St in Boulder. The warranty reads "against defects in material or workmanship", but the Safelite owner Michael Arguello doesn't feel obligated to honor the warranty. He said "We don't warranty the glass". I said "just the glue, huh?". read more

Needed to replace my window after a break-in. Got a quote and setup an appointment for the work. Happy so far, price with labor seemed fair. Got a voice mail stating they couldn't source the window within their network, so they cancelled my appointment with a voice mail message. Hey guys, get your people on the same page and honor your quotes. If you have to spend more to ship the part in, than do it and honor your quote. Leaving a voice message was poor form. read more

Had originally scheduled for replacement at my house, but the field tech advised to take it into the shop because of some potential issues with rust. He didn't want to take the chance on removing the windshield, with the possibility of not being able to put the new one back in. I took it to the shop in town the next day (they worked to squeeze me in) and they were able to complete the work by the end of the day, no problem. However, when I picked up my car, none of the other windows had been cleaned, as advertised, the carpets had not been vacuumed, as advertised, and to top it off there was a water bottle with several inches of 'chew-spit' waiting for me in the cup holder. Satellite person who came to do the job was professional, however, he did not do the job perfectly. One of the panels that keeps the window in place and stop air noises are loose, so I had to go back to Satellite store to get it fixed. It is working goos now. read more

I was driving up to the mountains to see my family for Thanksgiving, and like many a rock flew up and hit the center of my windshield leaving a quarter-sized starburst chip. I called Safelight today around 2 and told them what had happened, and the scheduled me an appointment for 4pm. The man on the phone was extremely nice and helpful and even called me back to make sure my insurance would cover the cost. When I arrived Mike helped me and was very hospitable and a delight to be around, they offered me free beverages and wifi and helped me through some insurance confusion. I was treated with respect and the fix was done in 15 minutes. I am very impressed with their service and will definitely be back again. read more

I arranged to have my fiance's windshield replaced. When we arrived at the shop, they took one look at it and let us know we had a different windshield to replace than the one we incorrectly indicated over the phone (rain sensing vs. not). They made it a non-issue and let us know they'd order the correct piece and have it in the next day, and that we could simply leave our car and it would be ready for us the next day. No problem! They were communicative, honest, efficient, and did great work. Wanting anything more from a business would just be greedy. Thank you Safelite! On a related note: We got the wiper blades they offered and now a few months later, they're still working great--better than the Bosch blades he had been getting! read more

Very frustrated with the service received. After scheduling an appointment 1 week prior, when we arrived for our appointment we were told they didn't have the correct windshield and we'd need to reschedule. I understand the recent hailstorm is challenging for everyone, but we didn't receive any communication about the issue. Trying to coordinate two working schedules and two child schedules to give Safelite business, only to be told to reschedule, is beyond frustrating. No other options provided. I called their office number and spent 15+ mins on hold before hanging up. Not sure where to go from here. read more

Got a bad star crack in my windshield and needed it fixed that day. Went on line and found an appointment available in 30 minutes. Drove to the shop and they fixed it immediately. Told me it should hold but if not the cost would go toward a new windshield. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Could not have asked for a better experience. read more

Made the appointment online as it is impossible to find a local number for Safelite shops. The technician came out and replaced the windshield AFTER I verified with him that the VIN number was correct for the windshield needed for our car....which by the way I had to also submit at the time of the scheduling. So, now at least three people have verified the correct windshield because when they called to confirm the correct windshield, I again verified that it was the correct one. Technician showed up on time, replaced the windshield, asked if it was correct, "yes", and had to take it to the dealership to be calibrated. We dropped it off, the dealership called and said, "you have the wrong windshield", as if you didn't know this was coming...and we called Safelite 877 number because it was the only way we could get a hold of someone...they said, the shop manager would call on Monday (this was Friday)...we had a trip planned...waited to NEVER hear back from the Boulder shop manager...after trying again, we had to pay for the replacement. I FINALLY get a hold of the manager, he had "heard about my story" but since we didn't give Safelite the chance to "fix" the problem, we were out the $500+ for the replacement windshield. Did I verify the appointment, yes. Did I verify the windshield with VIN number, yes. Did I call once we found out the windshield was incorrect, yes. Did I get a call back, No. Sadly, what I once thought was a reputable company was not. Clearly you saw that you made the mistake by looking at your records and showing you installed the incorrect windshield, but since we had to move along, we end up paying the price. Two star only because the technician showed up on time and the actual "work" was done correctly, just not the right work. read more

Called to check schedule availability at Boulder location. Instead of a local representative, I was routed to a national operator. She refused to check availability until I gave her personal info (phone, email, insurance, damage info). After this 5 minute exchange, I was told nothing was open. I said I wasn't interested in any alternative scheduling options (like driving to Lakewood) and stressed three times that my info was not to be used for marketing. I received a marketing email from Safelite two days later. Maybe being aggressive pays off? Not with me. read more

I had a windshield replaced here while on vacation. Scheduling along the paperwork went very well. The price was competitive. The install was fine except that the trim both around the windshield and under the windshield cowl were not installed properly. i was able to remedy it by removing and reinstalling both pieces after the fact. Otherwise everything went well. At the end of the day I wish I could give a better review but my experience was average. read more

In addition to fixing the new chip, the technician checked the other, previously fixed at Safelite, chips. There is absolutely no reason to not get your windshield chips repaired at Safelite. Scheduled an appointment online and assumed they would show up when scheduled. I received a confirmation email the night before. When the window of time that they were scheduled to arrive had passed, I called. Their response was "we don't have your glass and don't know when it will get here." When I asked why they didn't call to let me know, they had no explanation. Long story to say that I ended up going to another company and saved $200.00. Not sure why safelight is still in business. read more

Please try another place, except for Gerber, they are bad too. Safelight replaced TWO windshields on two of my cars and after the replacement they had to make additional service repairs - the first time they broke the clips and windshield and the windshield made a scary noise while driving at high speeds - they had to come over again and fix that. Then on the second car they broke the washer system on the car and had to come back and fix that. If you use them, make sure you test everything that can go wrong with a widshield replacement - EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. read more

Yeah, they fixed my windshield, at a decent price even. Though they forgot to point out that they destroyed the trim that's part of my cowling at the bottom of the windshield. A part of it might have been from normal "wear and tear" but the fact of the matter is that they didn't mention it at all (even though it was perfectly fine when the car was dropped off) and made only worse that after asking Safelite to contact me regarding this issue, I've heard nothing at all. My trim will cost more than the windshield replacement, so no doubt I'll go some place else next time. read more
