TL;DR: They never called me when they finished the job and they closed the store before I could get there. They do not care. To be honest, I can't say about the quality of work they do. I just got my car back from them today so only time will tell I guess. However, to sum up in one phrase: they don't care. I dropped off my car yesterday afternoon at 2 to have the windshield replaced and was told the job would take 2-3 hours. Cool, no problem. I left it there because I had work to do and they said they would call me when it was done. I even opted in to get text messages about the updates. During the time, I didn't get any text updates besides when they started the service which was odd but I don't know if it's on the store's end or if their system just didn't work. Regardless, 5pm rolls around (keep in mind: with no call or email whatsoever) and I think "huh they should probably be done by now" so I head back to find that the store CLOSED. Doors locked, no one inside, etc. My car is just sitting right next to the front door but no one is in the building. I called customer service and they said they tried calling anyone at the store including a district manager and no one picked up. So basically I had to come back the next day in the morning to pick it up. How did NO ONE see my car just sitting there (not even in an actual parking spot mind you) and think, "maybe someone should call this dude and let him know to get it". HOW? My only conclusion was that no one cared and they just wanted to go home ASAP. Oh and also the customer service person I talked to said "they have a habit of not calling the customer when it's done". Like... I don't even know what to say to that. Again, credit where credit is due; it looks like they did a good job with the actual replacement but again only time will tell. Bottom line: they don't care about the consumer and they just want to go home at 5. If we had a way of calling the store directly, that would be nice too :). I rarely get this upset but it just shows no one from management cares (Anyone from this store, feel free to email me and let me know how you will change this behavior). Because this kind of anti-consumer behavior is just unreal. Btw, the next day I got a call from the manager but I couldn't answer at the time since I was busy. I tried calling back TWICE and had to either hang up because no one responded or got hung up on... it's funny how bad this whole thing is. read more

Made 6 trips to Buford Safelite, 2 windshields replaced, and wind noise still very loud. Management ran me around by telling parts were in only to find out when I arrive for my appointment, parts were not there. Tried to leave review on Safelite's website, but apparently if you leave a poor post, it doesn't save. I've had a good experience with Safelite in the past but it was not with the Buford store. Avoid headaches and runarounds and visit another store. read more

It's been two months keyless entry pad still not reinstalled. Told my problem, my expense. Why did Safelite start the project knowing they could not complete it?? Why was I not consulted??? Not a good place to expect quality work, in fact you can expect a great big headache. read more

I went in for a warranty repair that my insurance approved and we discussed with a Safelite rep. I was treated with disrespect. The gentleman at the front desk was dismissive and rude. If you are a woman, take someone with you or stay away. Do not give them your business. read more

Have had two scheduled appointments where the office has made excuses why they couldn't come! The first time was their tech was in a wreck...(completely understand) the second time was they had the wrong number.... I took off work two times and still don't have a new windshield! This business is a joke and will never use them again! Will also tell as many people as possible to never use them as they don't do as they are scheduled! Also spoke to a person at h their office that was supposed to be the manager, who spoke through me everyone I was talking.... Windshield replacement for my vehicle and they did not properly calibrate the camera so lane departure and adaptive cruise no longer function. After numerous phone calls and promises from Emily the manager and Mike the owner, no return calls. They also use non oem replacement so the heads up display is distorted. Just disappointing service and failed return call promises. read more

Dear at @safelite of Buford GA thanks for not fixing my windshield even after I removed the roof rack and did everything you asked me to do. Thanks for not working with me in getting my windshield replaced. Thanks for refusing to fix my windshield because of the snorkel on my truck. Thanks for refusing work so I could find a better shop to have my window replaced. It took an extra 30 minutes and was done by one guy at @toyotamallofGA and was guaranteed to be perfect, which it is. Thanks for refusing to help me even though I'm disabled and was forced to get help doing the dance which you ultimately turned me away. I hope other people in the #4x4 and #offroad community will see this and find better alternative to get their work done. read more

This business acts like they do not want your business. Terrible person-to-person interaction. I went in for a quote. I was the only one in the shop and still had to wait 5 mins for the attendant to call on me. I asked for a quote with a price breakdown on parts and labor (pretty standard for an auto work quote) and was told he couldn't provide it. He said I could get that online but would have to schedule an appointment. I asked if we could just do that right then. By then two other people had walked in, and he said he could do that but only after helping the other two people. I walked out. Then...turns out the online quote DOES NOT include a breakdown in costs for parts and labor. Go ANYWHERE else. read more

My windshield replacement was obviously sub-standard! The replacement happened and the I did not drive the vehicle for 2 weeks. First drive was interstate and the right side molding that holds the windshield down popped loose. Had to tape it down. Got about 25 miles and the left side popped loose. It's the day after Thanksgiving and I'm waiting for my husband to come tape this side down because #Safelite cannot do the warranty work until TUESDAY. Again, it's now Friday. read more

Like having your time wasted? Well you've come to the right place! The level of incompetency at this Safelite location is truly amazing. Their inability to meet scheduled commitments is 2nd to non. I've used this location 2 times and both times my experience was unacceptable. Needed my windshield replaced in December of 2017 so I scheduled an appointment to have a tech come to me. Received a phone call at 3pm and the tech said it was too late in the day for him to come out and complete the work. He advised me that I needed to schedule another appointment to have the work done at their facility in Buford. I was a little annoyed but scheduled the appointment and had my windshield replaced. Needed my windshield replaced in March of 2018. I thought I would give these guys another chance... Mistake. Schedule the replacement work to be completed 1 week in advance. The day before my appointment I received this reminder email from Safelite. " My name is Terrence, I am the store manager at your local Safelite. We are looking forward to seeing you at 1739 BUFORD HIGHWAY, BUFORD, GA 30518 on Friday, Mar 9, 2018 to replace the windshield on your 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER at 3:00 PM. I show up to have the work done only to find out these clowns don't have the replacement windshield. I was told they needed to order it so I would need to schedule another appointment. I'm not sure if all Safelite branches are ran like this one, but the Safelite branch in Buford is a joke. I would not recommend this Safelite branch to anyone. read more

I scheduled an appointment online for Wednesday May 6th. Then on that Tuesday the Technician calls me and tells me the windshield will not be in until Thursday. I said ok when can it be done then. He said Friday. That already irritated me because usually MOST businesses make the person who got rescheduled a first priority but whatever. Now here it is Friday and i get another call saying they can't do it out in the field and i need to bring my car in. Of course I'm just mad now but i said ok fine i can bring it in. The guy said ok so i have you scheduled for Monday. I said um no i can bring it in today because this is when im scheduled and this is the 2nd time yall have rescheduled me. Basically theres no damn reason they should have a schedule because they just put you where they want and dont care if its an inconvenience for you. This location is absolutely trash read more

I originally scheduled an appointment over a month ago for 2 vehicles. The technician came out; he did not have the correct windshield for either car. I rescheduled - it snowed that day. The tech never called to cancel; I eventually had to call them. I rescheduled for 1 - 6 today, only to get a call a little after 11:00 saying the windshield they had was scratched. I rescheduled to come to their shop and requested a confirmation email. 3 hours later, I still had no email. I called; I was out on hold for 21 minutes then hung up on. I called back twice, and I was immediately was placed on hold. I emailed them a cancellation because I am no longer confident they are up to the task. Update: The generic apology is all anyone gets. The timeline of complaints clearly reflects a lack of improvement. If only their response to the customer vs the review was as timely. I never got a return call or email to confirm my cancellation. I had to call the corporate office to be sure my appointment was cancelled. read more

First time they didn't bring the windshield with them, second time they didn't show up, third time they didn't show up because they didn't have an available tablet to do the calculations. Very disappointed with the service from this location. My first issue is I had a scheduled appointment on 8/20/22 and after waiting all day the tech never showed up. I got a text an hour and a half after my appointment time that I was rescheduled four more days out. No call, no explanation and no apology. I called the very next business day and asked that a manager call me back. They never did. On day of next schedule appointment. Tech called me up to let me know he was on the way. I told him I wasn't home but my daughter and mother in law were there but to follow up with me as I was a work. He did call back with pricing but when I received the email invoice it was different than what he said. My daughter at that point filled in the check for what he told her and left. I called right away when I noticed the discrepancy I was told Mike the manager would call me back and once again that never happened. Tech did fix my car, as for that part job looks great , but all around service was not good. read more

Those who know me know that I'm a rather docile individual. What I have been through with Safelite automotive on trying to get my windshield replaced has been absolutely ridiculous. A rock busted my windshield in August. It was beyond repair immediately, so my insurance directed me to use Safelite to replace my windshield. I've taken two half days off of their work because they're 5-hour window for scheduling. The first time was an aftermarket windshield and it did not have the correct window for my safety cameras to function properly. They said they would make it right with an OEM replacement. I was good with that and took another half day off. Each time was a two-week delay in between scheduling. The second time they came out it was also the wrong windshield. They said it would be best to get the correct fit if I drove to the shop in Buford. I live just outside of Athens so this is an hour of my time each way and fuel. I arrived there this morning at 8:00 a.m. sharp to be the first one in line as directed, and once again they had the wrong windshield. Safelite specializes in windshield repair and replacement ​and nobody bothered to measure the slot for the cameras to compare to the ones the received to save the the time off, or the wasted trip. This is all they do and apparently they don't do it well. I apologize to the young girl and the snotty little hipster douchebag behind the window, as I came unglued on both of them. I replaced the back glass by this shop, recommended by my insurance company. Seem fair price at 190, it replaced and burst out 2 days later without any touch. Call the guy for checking warranty issue, they agreed to replace free of charge. Later the guy call me they cannot replace because of body damage around the corner of back glass and asked me to come to the shop for checking. Come to the shop and manager tell me it is my fault for body damage that I did not properly fix before they replaced the glass two days ago. The manager give me discount for replacing another with them but ask me to check with calibre collision if the issue need to be fixed. Come to calibre collision and this shop give me quote of 700 dollar to fix small damage for my car ( I was shocked). I was now searching for another auto glass service to get second opinion. The new guy see the damage and say no problem with the back glass replacement. He charge me for 170 dollar. I call safelite if they could consider refund because this is not from body damage that they told it was my fault. The guy ok to refund but I do not see the refund money, call them back to check refund status, they said no refund and asked to come to shop again for checking. Come again today meet another store manager, he said he only refund if the glass replaced by other merchant with subject to their monitor of the process. This is very unrealistic and ridiculous condition as how can I get another auto glass services come to replace glass under monitor of their competitors. I have see so many worse review for this store and I really hope that please consider very carefully before using this store service. read more

So I had a very rough experience with safelite. I originally wanted to use there mobile service but the first time the technician showed unannounced so I had to reschedule which was frustrating but not a big deal. The second time the technician showed up at 8:30 am when the repair was scheduled for 1-6pm. Once I spoke with customer service they asked me to come in to their location and have it done. I did and when I came back to pick up I had to wait 20 minutes because there was no one in the office who could hand me my key. Overall bad experience really hope the best for them and their business but I don't think they will do well if they continue there business practices like this. read more

I have worked in the service industry for many years and know how hard it is to get customers to share positive experiences. I originally booked my appointment online without researching the specific location. This morning previous to leaving my house I double checked the address on the map app on my phone only to find that this location had a 2 star rating. It worried me at first to see such low score but resigned myself to the fact that the appointment was in less than an hour. When I arrived the place is very clean and was promptly checked in and given the run down of the process by the guy in the office. I handed over my keys and thought I'll just sit here till it's done. The technician, Dan, came in, walked me to my car and detail explained the whole process and the risks involved. He expressed how even though he knew I had gotten a brief run down of the process he likes to make sure the customer is aware of the process and to assess the damage in front of the customer. I was very thankful of this and it showed a great level of customer service. All in all the repairs went without any problems. Even though they state that the repair is structural and the appearance will most likely remain the same, I can definitely tell the difference.
