Tysonn is the best and most respectful customer service guy. Fixed my window right up, took 4 days to get the over 20 year old ford VERY SPECIFIC side window in (they messed up the 1st time but it literally only took 2 days and i figured they didn't even make the glass anymore) This was the only place open when a tree decided to take revenge on me. Tysonn did a crash wrap and actually added some cardboard inside it because he was concerned about my privacy. He also didn't bring up how absolutely messy my car was the first time around, or my very political poster art inside the van I kind of forgot to cover up, or even the creepy doll i put in the passenger side to see if I could get a reaction lol! Everyone was super respectful, i was out of there in probably less than an hour and got to wait it out on a lovely little chair and table they have outside. I'm so glad my insurance worked things out with them AND with this company you get a lifetime warranty for the window at ANY of the stores they have around the country. Very surprising and satisfying for me because I travel all over. Highly recommend! P.S: Tysonn also went above and beyond when i figured out i couldn't open the side door anymore. He figured out how to open it and told me what he thought was the issue and how to open it in the meantime. I feel like some places would've absolutely looked at that and my van and refused service. So my experience is not so good at least is has not been up to this point. I cant get a local number to call it's not listed. So you have to call the company call center line. Which as usual is not answered by a human. So over 40 minutes on hold. Probably not normal but it happened this time. My experience is this. I had a rock chip. No big deal. However when I took it in they filled it which is normal. I noticed an air bubble inside and mentioned it to them. I also said to them that is was really close the the edge of the windshield. They told me it was fine. It isn't. I did rock chip repairs on hundreds of cars for dealerships so I kind of know what I am talking about. This repair was through an insurance claim so it cost me nothing. Now it has cracked out from the repair. They are going to charge my insurance company again for the mistake that they made. Again this is going to cost me nothing, but if I had paid out of my pocket. I would be being charged for their mistake. They offered no apology nor did they take responsibility. My advice, go ahead if insurance is paying for it. But if you are paying out of pocket... find someone else. read more

I have used Safelite for years and was always pleased. However, I just relaxed a cracked windshield, and within a week, had a crack that started on the very edge of the glass. This was not caused by debris- no other damage was on the glass. So I called their warranty line and was told to take it back in for the replacement. I go back to the shop and a service man rudely says that it was caused by a rock and there was nothing they can do. He even refused to try to repair the crack. I called the warranty line again to complain to a manager and then get a nonchalant email saying that they are sorry this happened and they will tell their staff. This did absolutely nothing to help solve the problem of the cracked windshield. Very disappointing service and value. I expected more from them. And if you see their response to this- this is without them taking a better look. There was NO further damage. But ok. Point made- they(their manager) not willing to take a look even....complaint filed with the corporate office. It won't solve my problem, clearly, but maybe it will help the next person. Horrible work. All debris went into my vents and it blows it all over my car and if the heater is on, it smells like burnt rubber. Also, now my windshield wipers (I have rain sensors on windshield) don't work properly as well as they broke the side shields on the inside. Listen I understand things get busy and times are rough. However, that being said, this is just ridiculous. My window was busted a few days prior to my appointment today, made a SCHEDULED appointment in advanced to drop off my car at 9:30AM. I come to the shop, I get checked in, they say "We will give you a call when it's done, BUT they have all day to work on it, could be done by 4-5pm" Emphasis on the "BUT" part. I say okay the email i received said it was going to take 2 hours, I uber to home that I have to pay for because they don't offer a free shuttle. Then hours go by I receive nothing, i give them a call, no one picks up, I give another call, same thing. I call costumer service, even costumer service couldn't reach them and they tried twice. I decided to uber back (again out of my own pocket) so come to the shop, my car was not even touched, moved, nothing. I got the earliest appointment I could and by 4pm my car hasn't moved from the parking lot? You're meaning to tell me my car with NO passenger window, basically my car is unlocked because ITS MISSING A WHOLE WINDOW was not touched for 7 hours. When I asked about an update I got, "we've been backed up, they are hoping to get to your car in an hour", mind you they close at 5pm and it's 4pm already. So I sit in the lobby because I can't get an uber to go back home then come back again. 10 mins go by me sitting in the lobby my car gets pulled to the back. After one of the workers I told I was staying she had a worried look on her face and my car goes to the back. Absolutely ridiculous. I have been here before and it's taken maybe 2 hours for my windshield, but for 7 hours they couldn't touch my car? They couldn't answer the phone either when I tried to contact them multiple times, including through costumer service tried as well. I had plans to go see family today that lives 2 hours away and hoping to leave early after my window was fixed, but I guess that'll have to be pushed as today is wasted and less time to see the people I wanted to see. read more

I like the fact that my insurance company covered the cost of my windshield thru Safelite in Eugene OR but the windshield that was installed was an after market windshield and was not an accurate product or fit. . Tysonn the installation guy also argued with me, and tried to get me to accept an inferior job/ product. I also had the job evaluated by Acura, and he said that it was a bad fit and was already bubbling, in a weeks time. I did get the Acura windshield eventually covered, however, and am thankful for that. Tysonn did the re-install, and it turned out great, but his attitude was rude. I've had to drive to this location more than once for a windshield as they didn't have what I needed the first time (and I traveled from out of the area quite a distance). I got another appointment and I thought all went well until my rear view mirror almost fell off because the technician broke one of the mounting pieces. In order to repair it, I was informed I would have to go back to the location. Three trips for one simple windshield install is ridiculous. read more

They said they needed my car by 9:30am. We did the "all day drop". As of 4pm no word so we called. No one answered so we drove over as they close at 5pm. The car was untouched from when we had left it 7.5 hours earlier and it was less than an hour to closing time. We were told it would be done by close and finally at 4:20 someone came and took the car into the shop. We got the car finally however we assumed it would not be the last car done that day. Not sure my confidence level in Safelite will allow me to chose this place again for auto glass needs. read more

I had to make another appointment because the first time they didn't line up the molding on the drivers upper side.So it was up above the edge of the roof.The second time,it look good,but they ended up breaking a plastic trim part that sits on the bottom drivers side.This happen on October 18th.The guy said he would have a replacement part and come out to our home ei Tuesday or Wednesday.Those days came and went.Now it's Friday and no response form them or from safelite. I used to have Safelite come out to do a chip repair on my windshield....Yesterday I called for a small chip repair I needed fixed and they were trying to get me to fill out a full-on claim....In the past the repair service was straight up billed to my insurance Co....Now, I would have to pay $70 plus out of pocket for a rock chip repair.....I'm unclear as to why Safelite has stopped doing this....To me this is bad business as I am covered for this AND they still get paid by the insurance companies in bulk regardless.....Completely insufficient customer service....Automated system is nothing short of inducing an aneurysm....100% disappointed. read more

I made an online appointment to replace my passenger broken window. I was scheduled for a drop off and pick up by 5pm. I'm from out of town here to replace my daughters broken window for the second time in 3 months near UofO. Andrew was very accommodating to handle my replacement while I waited for the car because I have an evening flight to catch back home. They cleaned up all the broken glass and cleaned my windows too. They are open on Saturdays by appointment only which the website does show you just need to call their store 541-342-3093. Absolutely a nightmare of a place to get a window replaced. Do not use Safelite. Monday I came in for a appointment and after 45 mins they came out and told they ordered the wrong window and I had to reschedule. I came in early today and for my scheduled time at 3 for my window and recalibration, and nobody came out to get my key. At 3:30 I said Hey do you want the key? I also let the receptionist know I wasn't happy and should have taken my car elsewhere. I should have found another place after the wrong window was ordered on Monday. I don't have important things to do. I took off work early both days and I am furious I wasted so much time here. I don't live close to here at all. Taking time off work to come and wasted my time has literally lost me hundreds of dollars that I can't recoup at work no joke. As I said before if you need a window replaced boycott Safelite at all cost. Wake up Safelite get your fucking shit together and pay attention to your customers who are sitting in your damn lobby. Scheduled an appointment in Nov to have them come to my home. Technician was sick and they couldn't get me an appointment in the shop until today. Rescheduled over the phone for today saturday Jan 1st. When scheduling I asked specifically to be sure that they were going to be open today for it. She assured me that they would be working today. Received both a text and an email yesterday reminding me of my appointment today. Showed up this morning at 10:20a for a 10:30a pre scheduled appointment. They were closed and the only contact info was a phone bot. Used this place prior to the pandemic and they were great. But this is unacceptable. read more

It isn't necessarily fair that I can't choose the nationwide 800 number for this review, but I have never received such horrible service from such a highly recommended company. I managed to get hit with a rock on I5, and my insurance provider set me up with Safelite for a mobile repair the following Monday. I let them know that I would be at work when they were available, and was told that wouldn't be an issue. Upon going to my car for lunch, I had a "Sorry we missed you" card on my windshield with the 800 number, and a handwritten "I was given the wrong contact info" from the rep. When I called the 800 number, it just went further downhill. "We only drive out to your area Mondays, Tuesday's and Fridays." I told the guy I didn't see the issue, that tomorrow was Tuesday. "Oh I meant Thursdays. I can override it, but it looks like there might be some weather issues, we can't work unless it's clear out or in a garage." That's fine, I said, if you arrive before 2PM, I can garage the car. "Well. I still can't override it. You could drive to the nearest shop in Eugene to get it fixed tomorrow though." So because they messed up, I should have to drive 130+ miles one way to get this fixed? I think not. Don't go through Safelite for any fixes you may need. Keep it local, go to a local mom and pop auto glass place. That's what I ended up doing. read more

From the second I got on the phone and talked to an employee, she helped me schedule service on my Scion Xb to replace back window. . . It was easy and she was very nice and got all my information and felt I was going to be taken care of with my car. I got confirmation by email and a heads up on when the technician would be here to work on my car. Jared I was excellent and new his job very well! Damaged Mirror The service tech damaged the rear view mirror and did not mention it when he left. An office manager spoke with the service tech and he admitted to damaging the mirror but said he couldn't find anyone to tell so he left. This was a lie because he handed the receipt to my salesman and said nothing to him about the damage. The office manager said he would get back to me with a repair schedule and I still have not heard back, it has been 4 days at this point..... These guys suck. They spend more energy trying to sell you crappy wiper blades at 30 bucks each than they'll spend to put your windshield in for you. My story: Progressive made an appointment for me at 4pm, on a Friday, before the 3 day Memorial Day weekend. At 5pm I get a call from Safelite. They took my old windshield out, but they can't put the new one in. Some story about how there was a "previous body repair" that prevented them from installing the new windshield. I was left with no choice but to drive home with no windshield on my vehicle. I contacted another shop to look at the vehicle and they said it would be no problem at all to install the windshield. They said the Safelite guys must have been at the end of their week and didn't want to finish the job. He was so right! Friday at 4pm before a 3 day weekend. And these jerks decided their week was over, send this customer home with no windshield because our weekend has to start NOW!. These clowns get all the insurance work they need to keep them afloat. Don't go there voluntarily unless you enjoy being treated like a sucker. read more
