These guys suck. They spend more energy trying to sell you crappy wiper blades at 30 bucks each than they'll spend to put your windshield in for you. My story: Progressive made an appointment for me at 4pm, on a Friday, before the 3 day Memorial Day weekend. At 5pm I get a call from Safelite. They took my old windshield out, but they can't put the new one in. Some story about how there was a "previous body repair" that prevented them from installing the new windshield. I was left with no choice but to drive home with no windshield on my vehicle. I contacted another shop to look at the vehicle and they said it would be no problem at all to install the windshield. They said the Safelite guys must have been at the end of their week and didn't want to finish the job. He was so right! Friday at 4pm before a 3 day weekend. And these jerks decided their week was over, send this customer home with no windshield because our weekend has to start NOW!. These clowns get all the insurance work they need to keep them afloat. Don't go there voluntarily unless you enjoy being treated like a sucker. read more

I had my windshield replaced yesterday at Safelight on Bertleson. Tysonn Franzoni, my technician, was absolutely terrific. He is super professional, has a great sense of humor, an excellent listener (even remembered I mentioned I had a dentist appt that day) and did a beautiful job. This was also the cheapest deal I could find in Eugene. Bonus! Definitely think Tysonn deserves a raise (hint hint to the bosses). Technician seemed ready too leave as soon as he pulled up. Gave me a bunch of reasons why he might not be able to "by Safelite standards replace the window" I'm like "umm no I'm not going to let you take out my window if your already doubting you can put it back in. Dude was telling me that if there is alot of rust he cant put in a new window. I'm looking at every seam and i see no rust that could prevent adhesion...there is surface rust on the ends of the sheet metal, but its an almost 20yr old car in Oregon . I understand only putting out quality work, but come on, guy didn't want to work and talked the company out of a sale and I still need a new window. Waste of my time. Will not be using Safelite anytime soon. read more

Safelite employee wrongfully sets appointment at my house instead of office, hung up on, get appointment place adjusted. Appointment confirmed via email & text. Email says technician will adjust camera after install. Get call day of service that technician cannot adjust camera in field. Made new appointment. Show up today after getting call, text and email (wow, really want me to be there) yesterday confirming appointment for today. Show up today, after 10 minutes of running around, I am advised the glass is not in. Seriously? No confidence in people and customer service approach is lacking in so many ways! Unreal. read more

I stopped in around 3:30 on Friday afternoon, when the automatic window on my boyfriend's car suddenly dropped down into the door and wouldn't go back up. I thought it was too late in the day to get anything done about it, and was worried I'd have to wait all weekend to get it fixed, but the man who greeted me (I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but I think he was the manager) quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and had me on my way again by 4:15! Started off with a recommendation from my insurance company and got an appointment. They showed up and "tried to cool down the windshield" to repair it but "somehow" cracked it more and now I need a new one. If it was too hot why not bring a canopy or say it needs to be done at night or at the shop??? So now instead of repairing it I have to replace it, was told they would order it and it takes 5 days. Set appointment date and time but I called the day before to confirm and somehow they weren't sure if they ordered the right one. How does this happen? Either you order it or not and check what you order to ensure its right and fits or not. Asked for a call back the next day to see if the appointment is going to happen or not and NOTHING! No call, no return call, and when I called they didn't have any info at all. Who does business like this? I would rather attempt to replace it myself without any experience at all before I ever let these people touch one of my cars again. They're crooks breaking your glass to get more money! You'll feel the same way when they come to "fix your chip" and they end up wanting to replace it costing you a lot more. Would give no stars if I could. read more

Our windshield had a very small chip. They quoted a really low price (no insurance), but did not apply material to whole area damaged. Cracks still extended outside of circle of application. Called customer service who offered little support, they stated the warranty will only be refunded if we need to replace entire windshield and do it with Safelite. I would not use them to replace a windshield that they could not successfully repair. Low initial cost not worth it if there is a much greater cost down the road. read more

PERFECT! :^) The people at Eugene's Safelite location were nice, polite, pleasant, well informed, and careful -- I'm really positively impressed! So few things of this sort seem to come out right anymore, so this was a most pleasant surprise. While shopping for a replacement windshield, I went first to Safelite and then to two local competitors. After meeting the competition, I was glad to return to Safelite for the work. All questions were welcomed and answered in advance and with a depth of knowledge and experience I found lacking elsewhere. They were accommodating and well informed and completed the work on time and to a very high standard with OEM-grade materials. There was not one scratch, dent, ding, or other damage done to the car and not a single pebble of glass or adhesive in the interior. The leather seats were untouched and they washed all windows inside and out and did a nice vacuuming job (having noted it was already so clean from my own vacuuming the couldn't do much to make it better). I got an *exact* replacement factory Ford (Carlite/Carlex) windshield that is identical to my original so no aftermarket worries. They were careful when driving the car 'round the back and when parking it out front for our pickup. They were unfailingly polite and respectful and very accommodating. The workers here obviously like their boss (who sets the tone) and enjoy working with each other. They LIKE visiting with customers! While waiting for my car to be finished, I saw other customers were treated respectfully and equally well. Amazing.
