Had a bit of a frustrating experience getting my windshield replaced. I was initially sent back and forth between Safelite and GM, each pointing me to the other, which cost me extra time and trips. On top of that, when I returned to Safelite, the replacement glass that came in was incorrect due to a manufacturer error. That said, I want to give credit where it's due. On my third visit, everything was finally ready, and Heather and Sean really stepped up. They made sure I didn't have to wait long and provided excellent customer service. They were professional, efficient, and clearly cared about getting things done right after all the earlier issues. Overall, the process was inconvenient, but the service at the end made a big difference. If the communication and parts ordering were smoother from the start, this would have easily been a 5-star experience. read more

Padonia Rd location. received online confirmation of my appointment. arrived and was told they do not have my appointment. The lady who answered the phone tried to squeeze me in, however, they didn't have my car's model windshield. Today is Wednesday - safelight could not repair my window until Monday, maybe. No safelight within 25 miles had the windshield glass I needed so..... everytime I see that commercial..safelite repair/safelight replace..where the service is speedy and right on time, let's just say, I will never use them again. I am now waiting for an appointment to replace my windshield for the 4th time. Yesterday after the glass was installed I along with the technician watching, watched as the newly installed windshield began to crack right before our eyes. I took my daughter car April 21, 2025 there because she had a crack in her windshield near the top and they had to order the windshield. I scheduled the appointment for two days later to have it replaced and calibrated since it had to be ordered. It took maybe 1 1/2 hours to replace and calibrated and she hasn't had any problems with it. They were very courteous and polite to me while I sat and waited. I also took my car there June 2025, after scheduling an appointment for a crack in my windshield,. They were able to repair the crack and it only took about 1/2 hour at the most. They were also very courteous and polite to me this day as well. read more

the work and worker were fine. I went online for a quote and got about $327. a few days later they sent me a coupon for $50 to sign up now. after install my bill was over $386. So the "never mentioned" tax and fees are well over $100 additional. why not have the truth in the quote? read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CAR DAMAGED Took my SUV in to have the windshield replaced. Not only did they chip my paint but then tried to hide the fact by not telling me until I found the two inch long chip and brought it up to them! When I basically accused them of trying to cover up their mistake, they made up three different stories about how they were still working on the issue (they closed everything out by then and already handed me my keys) and then they "forgot" to mention it to the person working on the main desk. I am still trying to get them to simply order an OEM bottle of touch-up paint. read more

Customer Service because when you call on the phone and you need to talk to the customer service rep, the options does not include the customer service rep. The automated service is not good. When a customer calls and no one calls you back for 3 weeks and you have been calling for 3 weeks trying to get in touch with them, no one responds. I had to go to the location to get the situation solved. read more

Had an appointment between 12-5 made a week in advance. Switched cars for the day and took off work so we could get this done as soon as possible. At 4:40 I still had not heard from anyone from Safelite so I called their office just to check all was ok and my appointment was still good for today. At that time, I was told that my technician was 14 minutes away and he should arrive soon. Another hour went by and nobody called me or showed up. I tried calling their office again and of course at this time is was closed so I was unable to speak to anybody. All anyone had to do was pick up the phone and communicate. August 31, 2023 Glen Burnie site Safelite destroys, should really be their tagline. What I truly don't understand is how or why my insurance company recommended such an organization to replace my chipped windshield. Now I can understand the pressure of running late but given the number of scratches and how the molding was bent-up and smashed down, he must have just used a screwdriver or putty knife to free the molding, opposed to the correct tools. He didn't even take the time to adequately clean the windshield after it was installed- what an awesome job! Now to Safelite's credit, they did send me a survey asking if the technician wore his uniform, which is apparently very important to them! Maybe rather than send surveys that clearly no one monitors; they should invest in some simple basic training like not use a metal tool on a painted surface or smash and bend the molding when it doesn't correctly attach to the reused clip. read more

Sorry for the long review but here it goes.... I normally don't leave reviews but the way the older gentleman at the front desk handled my appointment today was absolutely frustrating! I walked in on time for my appointment (4pm) and when I gave the gentleman my name, he grabbed my paperwork and read my phone number to me. I said "Yes, that's it!". He then began to tell me they had Verizon issues all day and that they had tried calling me numerous times because they were backed up (by the way, the lobby was empty when I walked in). He claimed their "call center" had tried getting ahold of me which is not true. I know that was a load of crap because I answer all calls, including the annoying scam calls. He then kept trying to get me to reschedule and said that if I rescheduled for the following day or even the day after that, he would throw in free windshield wipers. I told him my insurance was already covering the wipers and I can only get them from the dealership so the ones they had there wouldn't do me any good. The gentleman then proceeded to try to guilt trip me by saying "Well....we can do it....and if we have to stay late to get it done then that's what we will do...". I showed up on time for my appointment so I have no clue why he was trying so hard to get me to reschedule. I had to take time off from work to make it to the appointment only for the guy to disrespect my time by trying to get me to return a different day. I finally handed him my keys because I was not going to leave. I had an appointment to which I showed up to on time, so the work had to be done. When I handed him the keys I let him know that my emergency brake isn't working and that my car is manual so they would have to put it in gear when turned off. He immediately says "Ok you will have to come back tomorrow." I asked what the difference between today and tomorrow was because my E-brake wouldn't be fixed by the following day. He said "Well tomorrow we won't have visitors". I asked what he meant and he said that tomorrow there wouldn't be any supervisors there. That made zero sense. He also claimed it was a hazard because the lot was on a hill.....which is also a load of crap. The lot is NOT on a hill!!! I'm not sure if this guy had plans after work and didn't want to work his full shift but all the crap he was feeding me just really pissed me off!!! So unprofessional!! By the way, they close at 5pm and the tech that actually did the work was done with my car by 4:40pm (would have been sooner if the guy at the front desk had not wasted 5 to 10 minutes with his bogus crap). But I will say, the tech that actually replaced my windshield was really nice and professional! read more

clean, tidy and amazing service! I had an appointment for windshield replacement. Originally the guy said it'll take 4 hours and I was shocked.... somehow the job was done in 1 hour. glad that they changed their mind to finish earlier since there's not transportation for customers to go anywhere else. The waiting area is organized, self-serve coffee or water and they even have wifi! So if you know the auto job is going to take a while, I'd bring a laptop or something to entertain yourself as you wait. I'd go back if anything happens to the car again, hopefully not! read more

There's nothing worse than being charged for something that wasn't there. I go in for one chip and when they come out they give me a bill $30 higher because they say that there were two. I know there wasn't another one there so I think these people ripoffs. read more

I had a large crack across my windshield and had to take it into the shop for a full replacement and recalibration. The first appointment was scheduled a week out. I received a voicemail the day before saying the windshield they received was damaged and they were cancelling my appointment. I then booked again for another week out. I had received several emails and texts reminding me of the appointment. I even received messages the morning of the appointment. When I showed up to drop my car off, the girls sitting at the desk told me that my windshield hadn't arrived yet and that my appointment would need to be rescheduled. I had taken off of work and had my friend follow me there to drop the car. She had to go into work late as well. I was told that if it made me feel any better, I wasn't the only person they had to cancel that day...it didn't make me feel better. They should've been calling people to let them know before driving in, instead of waiting for them to show up to drop the news. Awful customer service. They told me that they would call to reschedule again. I never received a call, but a few days later, I started receiving texts that I had an appointment scheduled for another week out. They never called to check my schedule to make sure the appointment was convenient for me. Luckily, I was able to make it work. This time I called them the day before and the morning of the appointment to confirm it was happening. The third time, it finally got replaced. After reading the reviews on several sites, I found out this is a standard issue at the Glen Burnie location. I would definitely recommend finding another windshield replacement company. Will not be back and will continue to spread the word. read more

The rear window on my 2016 Audi A4 Allroad wagon was broken. I reported this to my insurance company, who referred me to Safelite. I put in the request on the Safelite website. However, I was immediately concerned because their website's closest model option only said "A4," although the A4 has at least 2 models: "Sedan" and "Allroad wagon." I could not reach anyone by phone, so I added a note online, specifying the need for a rear wheel window for an A4 Allroad Wagon - NOT the sedan. Within 2 days, I received a call to set an appointment. The truck arrrived on time, but the technician quickly realized that he had the glass for a sedan - not the wagon. He called it in, at which time the Safelite representative told him and me that "there was no 2016 A4 Allroad Wagon!". After extensive discussion, she agreed to try to find the correct window. Two days later, the same technician arrived, this time with a window for an SUV - NOT the wagon! Again, I was told that the wagon did not exist. I pointed out that it may not exist in their computers, but that's not the same as reality. After 2 more days, I was told that they had located the window, but it would not arrive for 7-10 days. I was going out-of-town anyway, so I agreed to wait. However, that appointment was later cancelled, and I was told that the problem was Audi's and that the window was on back order... I had enough after 2-1/2 weeks without a window! I immediately called several local auto glass companies, and Voila!!! I had a new window within 2 days! Amazing!!!! read more

My tech was great...Dwayne. He was on time, courteous and he explained everything. This was my first windshield repair, so didn't know what to expect. I am satisfied with the repair. Fortunately, the damage was out of my line of sight, so the remaining shadow is not irritating. It took a few days for them to come out, but everything is slower right now. read more

I used the website to schedule my windshield replacement. All went well until the day came. Despite the warning that I needed an indoor location, the day was a rainy one and the technician said that was "wrong" and it needed to be sunny for testing. So, I waited a week for the appointment only to have it canceled for rain. Then rescheduling put me to the back of the line and I was told I'd have to wait 10 more days. UGH! Tried to call. No path through the IVR to a real person. Tried chat, nothing but "you'll have to wait to get it done properly." You eliminate the human face of the company and you eliminate the "service" from customer service. I found another company who was happy to schedule my replacement, promptly. read more

A rock hit my windshield and cracked it. I had experience with Safelite, so i went online and booked and appt. I was able to pay ahead of time using paypal and just show up during my scheduled time. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They came out to review what they were doing. Because i had approved digital alerts, everytime i signed something or they did something I received a text and email. It took about 45 minutes and i was of there. read more

Technicians or workers in the bays , Whatever you want to call them have bad attitudes. Being from out of town, I needed to replace my windshield and I assumed this would be a business that hire professionals. My first interaction was with a technician yelling at me, with attitude, that I could not park, where I had pulled over to ask someone where I could park, since apparently there was no parking available. I had not even gotten out of my car or turned the car off and had only rolled my window down to ask where I could park. And then when I told them I was was just asking where I can park another one of the technician just stared me down glaring and the first one just told me go park around back somewhere. I have never been to this place and will never return. read more

Excellent service, I didn't catch the technicians name but he was very informative on the entire process of repairing my windshield and in explaining all warranty details. The gentleman at the front desk was very prompt in scheduling me to come in. 20 minutes after my 3:30 appointment I was back on the road and the 2 cracks in my windshield were close to invisible! My car windshield was broken by a rock while going from Florida to Maryland on Rt 95. I had my windshield repaired in Maryland. I was told to remove the tape from the windshield in one hour; however there was NO Tape ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE MOLDING AROUND THE WINDSHIELD WAS NOT REPLACED PROPERTLY. Have scheduled an appointment for October 24, in Jacksonville, Florida, to hopefully get the molding situation corrected. NO PROBLEM, just another three hours of my time to get something repaired that should have been repaired correctly THE FIRST TIME! read more

12/24/20 I had a really bad experience with the Glen Burnie location, when I got there to have my windshield replaced I was told how long it would take, so I went to get a bite to eat, when I came back they told me the new windshield had a scratch on it, like I was going to tell them to put it in or something (no) since I did have an appt. they should have checked that before I even got there, was told they did not have another one, I took off work that morning to go to them, they had a I don't care attitude, I scheduled them to come out to my house, it took them almost all day to come to my house, I had to be at work later that day so I had to cancel that appt. I would have thought they would had gotten to me early the next morning since I went to them and had to reschedule to no fault of mine, that is one location I will never go too again, they did not even deserve one star read more

They don't answer there phone. Horrible service. On day of appointment they rescheduled me saying they don't have part. Then when I went for new appointment they said the part broke in shipping. My vehicle had a star crack smaller than a quarter. On the first appointment the repair process turned the star crack into an 18 inch crack across the windshield. Safelite ordered a replacement windshield to be installed a week later. Dropped off the vehicle the next week for the replacement only to return at the end of the day to find the replacement had not been done: "the new windshield was damaged, so it couldn't be installed, we've ordered another windshield, it will be here next week." The following week the exact same exact situation occurred. The manager was not available and did not call to explain. Even worse, the Safelite customer care line just redirected my call the same store that I had just left. The customer care agent refused to put me in touch with Safelite management. This experience wasted three weeks of time and three days of dropping off and pick up the vehicle. And the Safelite management team is no where to be found, inaccessible to the customer. What a disaster of an organization. read more

I had an appointment today to get my windshield replaced. The repair tech calls me out to my car to show me the that replacement windshield was cracked so he couldn't install it. The repair tech was great in trying to help me but ALL the other staff was rude and displayed some of the poorest customer service I've ever experienced. They said the soonest available appoint was 2 weeks from now. 2 WEEKS!! And they refused to find anyway to get it fixed sooner despite it being their fault for bringing a defective part. How can they not do anything possible to make up for their error in bringing a defective windshield and force me to drive around with a cracked windshield for 2 more weeks. read more

Staff with friendly and very professional. They had extensive knowledge on the specific glass need for my work truck. It took a few days to get the work done, but it was following an ice storm so they were very busy appointments. The waiting room was very clean and had wifi, coffee and water available. They kept me informed through out the entire installation process. I took a chunk of ice to the windshield which shattered it and after they installed the windshield it looked like it was never cracked. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because there was some shards of glass in my side door cup holder that was not vacuumed up. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. read more

This location is comfortable to wait in compared to others and my tech Mike was very communicative and kept me up to date every step of the way. I was done within 2 hours instead of the approximated 3 thankfully. The young lady at the front desk is not that friendly, but my tech made up for it. There was even a slight order issue and he resolved it and made sure I was satisfied with the glass replacement. It was well done and better than new once done. I have a foreign car and my dealer tried to convince me to go with them for more than triple the price, but safelite provided me with very high quality glass for just my deductible. read more

My car had two chips less than an inch each on the windshield. Took it to Safelite AutoGlass and they did a structural repair. The chips are still visible but I was told it will not spread, which is what I was truly worried about. Also I didn't have to leave my car there the whole day. They took about an hour to complete the job while I waited for my car. It cost me about $170 for the repair. I recommend this place. read more

Let me add to the already bad reviews. Should have checked yelp before I chose this company. I will echo previous complaints. Scheduled 12-5 during a week day. Was notified that the tech was starting the work at 5:05pm. No apology for delays or nothing. It was taking a long time to get an update and at 6:45, found the work was not done. No excuses, apologies, etc...As with the other bad reviews, office closed and tech refused to answer the calls. Called the 800 line and received assurances that all would be taken care of first thing in the morning. Of course I received no call back, called twice to be assured that the office would be in touch. No call return. Called again to get a unprofessional gentleman tell me that the office said I had provided the wrong number; this is after I gave him the right number to pull up the work order. He then goes on to insult me, implied I was lying after I told him he had already identified the right number. I asked to speak with his supervisor and of course I got the 2 min hold and manager in meeting excuse. Bottomline, I had the insurance company find me another provider. This location lacks integrity, poor customer service and issue resolution. I'm on to writing the BBB and social media reviews. I've never left a bad review ever. Folks have bad days, are not perfect and deserve grace. This was unacceptable and I plan to tell the world! read more

I was out of the country and arranged an appointment for windshield replacement due to a limb breaking my windshield. I made the appointment for my return in two weeks and got a neighbor to move the car into my garage. Today, the day of the appointment, Safelite cancels due to their issues. The guy who cancelled was no help, even a bit rude. I was told to go on-line and make an appointment. The earliest they can make the repair is in another week. I called the 800 number. Tia, the telephone contact, was very nice and apologetic but offered no solutions. She said the shop was very busy. I will take my business elsewhere. I preface by saying I did have a windshield chip repaired previously at this same location with no issues. However, I filed a claim in April for windshield replacement and was told by the Morrisville, NC shop that they would contact me once the windshield was received as they had to order it. A few weeks later, I still had not heard back so I had to call the 1-800 number to find out that the shop "dropped the ball" and had the windshield but never called me to schedule. I scheduled an appt at that time. I showed up at my appointment a couple of weeks later and after waiting for 30 mins past my appointment time, a worker comes out to tell me that someone must have "slammed the windshield down" at some point because it was cracked and that they would have to order a new one and reschedule me. Now almost 2 weeks later, I still had not heard from the shop so I call and find out that they show that the manager closed my service case and they have no idea why. At this point I'm over the lack of communication and organization within this particular location. Ironically, right before they told me my windshield had been mishandled and broken, they told another lady that they had ordered the wrong windshield for her car and that she would also need to come back another time after they ordered the correct one. Based on all this, I don't think this is an isolated experience and would not recommend this location for any major repairs. 2 stars given only because the window chips from a prior incident were repaired without issue. read more
