Safelite did a mobile windshield replacement for me and did a fantastic job. I was able to schedule online ahead of time with ease. When the technician came and evaluated my windshield, he realized that he brought the wrong one (an honest mistake as my car is around 10 years old and has multiple versions of windshields) but set me up for another appointment the following day with the correct one. Both technicians on both days were very friendly, efficient, and took pride in their work. The prices are reasonable, as well. Would recommend! read more

Just got my windshield replaced for my Suburu forester at this location in Hamburg camp rd. NIGHTMARE of an experience. First we were rescheduled twice. Then today when I went in for my repair, THEY REPLACED IT WITH A CRACKED WINDSHIELD!!! I noticed when picking it up that there was a 2 foot crack in the "new" windshield, and alerted the SL agent. He told me there was Nothing they could do about it today and to come back in 10 days!!! I have an 8 hour drive tomorrow and now have to do it in a cracked windshield. THANKS SAFELITE!! Service was poor. When I first went they said they had ordered the wrong windshield and asked me to come back in a week. Once that was replaced I went to pick up the car and the molding was partly off on the sides. I tried pushing it back in and then told them and they slightly pushed it in. I'm just going to update everyone where I'm at in my Safelite journey. First off, I had an intact windshield with a crack in it too big for the resin so it needed to be replaced. I took it in and the tech Alec (1865-238) was the one who did the job. What upsets me probably the most is that when they returned my vehicle to me, they didn't tell me there was glass shards and fragments all over the inside of my car, the dashboard, the engine bay, the floors, the seats and in the air vents; so now my air system is making a loud noise. They RETURNED A HAZARDOUS VEHICLE to me WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE So, I complain to the company and they try to make it right by sending out a tech to vacuum the glass out of my car. The tech Nicholas (1865-069) did a wonderful job vacuuming the inside of my car but explained to me that he was unable to get the remainder of the glass out of the air system with his shop-vac. I told him to let his boss know that the job was NOT completed and after he left, I did not hear anything from the company. I make another trip up to the location where I had my car serviced to try and figure out how they want to handle this situation (the glass in my air system). The tech working the front desk was named Gabrielle (1865-942) and when I relayed my situation to him, he originally told my that it was 'my responsibility' to clean out the remaining glass in the air system. So I leave to call Safelites corporate office number to get a better answer but I wanted to get my facts straight first so I call the location and asked Gabrielle for his name and tech ID number. While on the phone with me, he tried to be a little more helpful by the end of the call. To sum up my story, I received service from Safelite on Camp Rd. in Hamburg, NY and when they returned my car there was glass everywhere and if I didn't say anything, there would still be glass everywhere. 1. To avoid getting glass in my air vents, use tape so it blocks it off. (painters tape would work) 2. If you break my windshield to replace it, at least vacuum a little. (no evidence they vacuumed at all) 3. Don't wait for your customer to complain about something and then fix it. (do a good job the first time) all 3 things could of easily been avoided and I'm still dealing with this situation!!! read more

They ordered my wrong windshield then told me it would be 3-5 days which i understand then the day of my appointment they call and tell me my windshield still is not in and would be another week when I asked what im supposed to do if i get pulled over because the crack is spreading and going onto the driver said i was told well that is not our problem read more

Online scheduling for my Safelite appointment was very convenient. I was able to get an available timeslot within two or three days. I received a couple of text reminders regarding my appointment, which I appreciated. Safelite handled the insurance claim directly with my insurance agent. Once I arrived at Safelite, they took my vehicle into the shop on schedule and replaced the windshield in about an hour. The techs were careful to keep the registration and inspection stickers in good condition when transferring them from the old windshield to the new one. The guys at Safelite were professional and spoke respectfully. They made sure my questions were answered and gave me clear post-replacement instructions before I left. Safelite was AMAZING! They were very professional and extremely accommodating. There was a bump in the road with my insurance company not giving Safelite all the correct information required to make sure the right windshield was delivered. I arrived at ten o'clock and found out shortly thereafter that the wrong windshield was ordered. The young lady told me they would take care of it and ensured me my car would be ready to be picked up by the end of the day and it was. I would give them zero stars if I could. They damaged the paint job on the hood of my car when they replaced my windshield. They said they are not going to pay to fix it. I have a 1982 Camero that was in mint condition and now it is not thanks to them. I tried to call corporate and there is no one there to talk to. I tried to email them and got no where. They are the worst company to get ahold of. I will be talking them to court for the damage. read more

Dropped my car off, went to pick it up later and both A pillars were very loose. Two bolts were missing. I also noticed that there was a large gap between the windshield and the plastic molding below the wiper blades. I told the technician working and he said he would take care of it. Went to pick it up again and the pillars were still loose. One bolt was replaced, and another bolt was just resting where it should be. Both bolts were different. The plastic molding was also not taken care of. Upon further inspection I noticed that a piece of interior trim that covers up a bolt on the A pilar was completely missing, and that a screwdriver had been driven into my paint near a screw, going through the clear coat, base coat, and primer. I would also like to note (not that I care) that my receipt says my interior was vacuumed, but it clearly was not. I would really consider going somewhere else for windshield replacement. I can't trust a company if they're damaging my vehicle, losing parts, and not fixing it properly. I even told them they could keep it longer if needed. read more

If this company doesn't have the right seals the will try to sell you a universal seal that can actually cause damage to your vehicle. If your vehicle rusts be use they have use universal seals, and you need glass in the future, they won't touch your vehicle. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH SAFELITE. I came here to get my 04 Subaru Forester windshield fixed. Needed it fixed so I could get my inspection done. They took a look at it and wouldn't even attempt to replace my windshield because my car "may or may not be rusty" due to the make and model of the car. Which I thought was total bs. My insurance said for them to cover it they needed to be fixed at a Safelite too. Well I ended up finding a small mom and pop shop that fixed my windshield. Luckily my insurance covered it. Oh and tHe shop said there wasn't a sight of rust anywhere under the old windshield. I would never recommend here and never go here again. read more

my windshield was broken and had to have it repaired, i either had to wait 3 weeks for them to come to me, so i decided to go in for service. the seal of the windshield wasn't dont properly so the rubber was flying around. the customer service phone system at satellite is awful and it is impossible to get someone on the phone so i had to drive 40 minutes to the store and explain my issue for them to OK a reseal the windshield. they came about a week later to my house but the seal was not done right again so the rubber still flys around. i try and call to speak with someone to get the problem fixed and have found it absolutely impossible to get to a representative on the phone. so now i have to go back to the location again and have them reseal my windshield. so frustrating, they need to fix their customer service phone systems! read more

Scheduled a drop off on a saturday at 7:30am because I was told over the phone that it would take a total of 3 to 4 hours to replace my windshield and recalibrate my cameras on my subaru outback. The kid asked if I needed it back by a certain time and I said the earliest possible time would be great so if it could be before noon, perfect (I also had to take my car to get a tire fixed that was leaking air pretty bad) and this was on a Saturday. He said ok and i was on my way. My mom met me there to pick me up. Waited and waited and called around 1pm to check the status of my car. Was told they HAVENT EVEN STARTED IT YET! I was so mad! I ended up getting a notification around 1:25pm that my car is FINALLY starting to be worked on. By 2:15pm I got a phone call that it was ready for pickup and the guy gave me an attitude when he asked "when could i pick it up and get it out of there". What a f'n joke. The service is awful and my car came back to me dirty on top of it all and the inside smelled like a mechanic had there socks off or something.
