After a successful windshield replacement (Safelite warranty) and good experience, I am changing my rating to four stars. It remains, frankly, unacceptable that Safelite doesn't let you get anyone on the phone to discuss issues. This has been both my experience and that of a family member, who had worse issues with Safelite than I did (In their case, they installed a defective windshield and damaged the vehicle's electronics). My issues are that Safelite broke plastic parts when replacing my windshield some time ago, and the rear view mirror was attached so poorly that it not only came off but took a piece of the windshield with it. Could not get anyone on the phone to discuss. I went to a Safelite location today, and they made an appointment to replace my windshield under warranty. I was not given an argument at any time that the problem might have been my fault. Extra credit for that (and for sure, it wasn't my fault). It's still the case that the original replacement of the windshield should have been done on-site as originally ordered, as at the time Safelite lacked the means to do a calibration on my car (the latest replacement, under warranty, included a vehicle calibration, for which I am thankful). Nonetheless I've upgraded my rating to four. But Safelite, please, find a way to have representatives either talk by phone or chat with customers online, even if it's just to discuss the situation and tell us to visit a Safelite location. read more

These folks are excellent. 1. Friendly and welcoming. My aunt and I felt at ease at once. 2. Good location, plenty of parking, and comfy seats with a lot of natural light. 3. Very quick and efficient. We were in and out before the MURDER, SHE WROTE episode even got to the murder. 4. High, high quality glass. Wow. I love my car, but the factory windshield it came with had distortion, especially along the side. This Safelite glass is clear and gorgeous, really improving my visibility. Five stars all around. Very pleasant and efficient staff, from front desk to technicians. I showed up a half hour late for my appointment and they were super understanding and accommodating. The waiting area is inviting and comfortable, and the bathroom super clean. My car was completed quickly and the cute and personable technician explained what had been done and that the windshield sensor was safely recalibrated. My car got damaged after being serviced at the dealership leaving my windshield covered in chips. I made an appointment with Safelite through Allstate Complete Protection plan and I am so happy they sent me to this location. I got to my 12pm appointment a little early but met Teagan who checked me in, and let me show him exactly what I needed fixed. He walked me through what they were going to do, explaining the process and then took my car into the service bay. The chip repairs literally took less than 20 minutes. So fast! From start to finish, Safelite provided an excellent experience. From the confirmation of my appointment to the speed and quality of their work on replacing my windshield, they did a great job. The young man who replaced my windshield also put new tabs on my EZ Pass and secured it to the windshield ( it wasn't prior but he noticed). Courteous, respectful and all around good business people here at this establishment. Booked a appointment online for 11am Saturday. I received reminders about my appointment. I arrived 1045 was promptly greeted by staff and my vehicle was taken inside for the windshield replacement, I was told that it would approximately 1 hour. Once the job was started a representative came out to explain that the vehicle had some rust in the windshield frame and that they were not able to guarantee me that it would not leak. It's now almost 2 hours and 15 minutes later. I am still waiting outside for my car. So much for booking an appointment. If I knew that the process would take a unknown amount of time. I would have dropped the vehicle off , instead of waiting. Remember. I was told that it would be about a hour. Totally unacceptable and disappointed. Still waiting. read more

Easy to submit a claim through insurance then book with Saflite online. No appointments were available for the only Saturday that I could take it so drop off was the only option. Dropped off at 9:15. Got a call at 4:30 that it was complete and they closed at 5. Work was completed to satisfaction. All employees were friendly, professional and appeared to be happy. Safelite installed a non OEM windshield on my car,the technician didn't point out to me that it was a non OEM ,i only found out a few months later when i tried to get the windhied visor tinted .my car has a factory installed rainsensor in the windshield ,the one they installed has a add on rainsensor ,this keeps me from tinting the windshield visor and the rainsensor doesn't work properly.The first time I called them the agent couldnot find my account, using my last name ,luckly he tried using my cell number and found the account. they had list using my wife's last name instead of mine,eventhough the insurance is in my name.I havenot been able to contact a them since then ,all of their contact numbers route me to voice mail to text or email them.I don't plan on using this company again my choice. read more

I've used Safelite for years, and I've never had any issues with their work. This was my first time at the Newton, New Jersey branch, and everything went smoothly. I got there early; they took my car right away, and I waited for my car in their spacious waiting room. The windshield replacement took less time than I was told, and as usual the work was flawless. Personally, given that an automobile's windshield is the only thing between you and the elements, I'd rather replace my windshield with the most competent repair shop I can work with, and Safelite fits the bill. This branch definitely deserves your business, and while I hope not to have to use them in the near future, I'll be happy to if I need to, knowing my windshield will be replaced competently. read more

Wow, this was an amazing experience. I scheduled my appointment online. Yesterday I got a text reminding me of the appointment today. This morning I got a text with the name & a picture of the tech that would be coming (Andrew). Then he called & said he was on his way, seconds later I get a text with a link to GPS & a map so I could see exactly how soon he would be here. He was friendly, effecient & obviously knew his job. He took the time to show me some rust that might be an issue, he explained what would & would not be covered under the warranty. (My car is 17 years old so I wasn't surprised to see some rust.) Both employees I encountered were professional, and very friendly. Don't assume that just because you have an appointment and a confirmation that they will actually arrive to do the work. I had an appointment to have my windshield replaced, they confirmed the day before (without the photo as in the advertising)that they will arrive to do the repair between 12noon and 5pm. At 12:45 the day they were supposed to do the replacement I received a phone call to inform me that they would not be coming. I would not recommend doing business with this company if you have a specific timeframe as to when you want the work done. read more
