First I'd like to write about my first visit to this location about 3-4 years ago. My new Volvo had just had a rock hit the windshield and my insurance company suggested that I bring it to Safelite instead of Volvo because I would not have to pay out of pocket. The glass that was installed was wavy and I was not happy with it. When I had mentioned it to the manager at the time, he tried to convince me that I would not notice it when I start driving the car. I knew that this windshield was very poor quality and was unacceptable. I ended up arguing with them in order for the manager to issue a replacement windshield. After the new one came, the view was fine. I vowed I would never come back here again... Fast forward to 2017, another rock, another car, another insurance company suggesting Safelite. I was temped to just bring it to Ford and pay out of pocket first, then thought to go to another Safelite location, but at the end, I chose the Pasadena location again because of convenience. Ready to battle it out with them when the windshield installed is sub-par. When I got to the Pasadena store, I had mentioned to Jesus and Art about my previous bad experience. They both have been there a while, and thought they knew who it was, and that person is no longer there. They assured me that they wanted to earn my business, and that they would not be happy if I was not happy. Jesus let me inspect the Fuyao glass before installation, and sure enough, the glass was wavy. Jesus said that he would order a new glass, so I asked him about OEM glass, and he would check on pricing. He found out that OEM Ford glass was the same price. He ordered the glass, and a few days later I returned. I inspected the Ford Carlite glass, and I was shocked that it was wavy too! Art and Jesus ordered another two glasses. A few days later I returned and inspected two Ford OEM glasses, chose the best one, and Jesus got to work. An hour later the procedure was done, and the glass is great, no blemishes. Never use safelite auto glass repair. Their technicians are unreliable, stupid, and also liars.

I chose this business after speaking on the phone with a rep who assured me the replacement of my window would take no longer than two hours from the time I walked in the door. With that assurance, I booked an appointment and cancelled another I had made with another company, even though it was going to cost $10 more, even though the other company would have come to my residence, for the sole reason that it could be done sooner. I arrived on time for my 11 a.m. appointment. In the next few minutes three more parties arrived, all with 11 a.m. appointments. Twenty-five minutes later, no technician had come to talk to me or take my vehicle or those of the other customers. When another of those customers and I approached the receptionist she told us there were only three techs working and that they were finishing other vehicles. The math perplexed me: why would they book four appointments at the same time with only three techs on duty? Even without the other vehicles that were already being worked on, it just makes no sense. A manager emerged and asked for our patience, telling us they would get to us when they could. He also told us he shouldn't even be working in the shop, but that he was helping because they were swamped. Perhaps that was meant to make us feel better, but all I heard was "We scheduled only 2 techs for the 4 appointments we booked at the same time." Having driven far out of my way to give this shop my business and having cancelled another appointment, I was reluctant to drive again with a missing window, so I took a seat in the office. While I waited for someone to tell me something, I read the many signs on the wall, which made such claims as "Going the extra mile is our pledge to you", "satisfaction isn't good enough", and "we want you to be delighted with your experience." This is a family website, so I won't include my thoughts on these statements. Suffice it to say I was less than delighted. The shop manager, Mr. Melvin, was apologetic and kind, and did offer us a discount for the inconvenience (which explains the second star in my rating). The work was clean and professional, but until such time as Safelite's appointment schedulers start paying attention to individu shops' capabilities, go elsewhere. read more

Awful service and bussniess. My GF took my car in to get a chip the size of your pinky toe nail to get fixed before we go on a across country move. The techician told my gf that they dont guarantee thier work. So, she asks will it will make it worse should we even try. Then the tech tells my GF that its so small i wouldnt worry about it. So to most ppl that means everything should be fine. He goes ahead and tries to fix it and cracks it all the way down. As my GF drives to my work to get my car to me it continues to crake upward. I have been on the phone with the company for a week and have gotten no where. Ken the manager is awful. When I called down there he passed off my call to the tech instead of trying to help me out. It took them literally three tries to put in a window that rolled up correctly. The first time they did not even check it after installation and I had to discover it myself that the window barely rolled up and down. They finally had to order a window directly from Toyota which thankfully they did not make me pay extra for. They were not thorough about vacuuming all the glass, I had to point out glass left in the car all three visits until they finally cleaned all the glass from the break in. Not only do they have competent employees who will come to you and get your windshield service, but they will clean up all..i mean all of their mess!!! Couldn't of asked for better treatment. I made the mistake of calling another company first only for them to stand me up and not show up. As soon as I called Safelite I knew I was in good hands. I immediately got a call from the installer John who was very friendly and informative. He showed up on time. He was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. I couldn't of asked for a better serviceman. Why only one star. Hmmmm. It sounds like it is not fair and it might be. The work and speed of the installers at this location are great and i would have given this location two stars for it. John took care of my vehicle and got me on the road again as soon as he was able to. He even took the time to explain the work he had done and make sure the vehicle was returned to me in great working order. The one star is for the desk staff. They could care less about the customer as long as they are able to eat, drive, vape or take care of themselves they are happy. Taking care of customers is least of their worries. They even prefer if you pay cash and not go through your insurance company (no sure what shady things are going on with that). If use insurance it is like a bad day for them. If i could deal directly with the installer i would cause they saved the day. Or maybe just have them come to my location so i would have to deal with nasty office staff. read more

Someone broke into my suv by smashing the rear passenger side window. After talking with the insurance company, I used the mobile Safelite repair to come to my house, instead of waiting for 3 days the on-site appointment. Got the text of the arrival time and showed him the problem. He checked to make sure he have the right equipment and window for the job. It took him a few hours, cleaned up the broken glass, replaced the broken window with the new replacement window, and cleaned all the windows as a courtesy. I appreciate him taking the extra mile in customer service versus a world with lack luster of customer service. I have worked and provided customer service for the last 23 years and have great affinity to those that provide good to great customer service and to point out when there is a breakdown with the ability to provide at least adequate service to customers. I have had 2 cars so far worked on by Safelite and have not been disappointed in both instances. I have now problem recommending Safelite to friends and family in the future. Business tip: a picture of your mobile unit and/or a picture of a representative speaking with the customer in front of the mobile unit or on-site counter. To show that personal-ability to others to show more customer friendly atmosphere. read more

I'm so disappointed. Against my better judgement and recommendation of a friend, I made a quote with safelite and was given an appointment at the Pasadena location. I understand they don't guarantee it's repairable and that they have to evaluate the point of impact to determine whether it's repairable or whether the whole glass needs to be replaced but don't be rude about it. A technician came to greet me and asked if I had an appointment at 8:30 am. I said yes and he asked where the crack was at? Let me just add the tech had his phone and was on it when he asked me this. He took a one look at the crack and said I can't fix it. It needs to be replaced. Like really, based on what? Look. If it needs to be replaced fine but tell me why? So I asked, well how much is that going to cost me and he said he doesn't give quotes and I have to go inside. I grabbed my purse and locked my car and went inside. There was only one person at the desk. I was told she was the manager. Look, I know it isn't her fault she was dealing with some idiot on the phone but please acknowledge your customers. She was trying to get off the phone with him, which I know was hard but I needed this window replaces asap, since I'm going out of town. I don't have time to wait around, especially if your workers are also taking your time while your on the phone. Plus 2 other customers walked in. Needless to say, lessoned learn. #1 I have shitty insurance and #2 trust my instincts. Never again, will I use them. I had to call cs back just to make sure they didn't charge my card, which they need to hold your appointment. Ended up going with my friends recommendation San Luis Auto Glass in LA. read more

I was driving my SUV on the freeway and a small rock hit my windshield. I called Safelite and it was easy to make an appointment and the price was cheap. A technician came out to the residence and replaced the windshield with no problems. He explained that there is a lifetime warranty on the windshield. Good deal. Fast forward to a year and a half later. I notice a small crack at the bottom of the windshield. The crack was inside the glass and couldn't be felt by running your fingers over the glass. I hadn't noticed any rocks or anything hitting the windshield. The weather had been freezing overnight for a few days so I thought it might be related to that. I called Safelite to replace the windshield under warranty. Two representatives from Safelite came to my residence and looked at the crack. One of them started wiping the windshield down and looked at the very bottom of the windshield (between the windshield wiper blades...an area below the level of the hood). He said there was big chunk of the windshield missing and that I had caused the damage. I looked at the area where he was pointing and there was a surface scratch the size of a pin head two inches away from the crack. I argued with him that there is no way to know if that scratch caused the internal crack. I also mentioned how the OEM window lasted 7 years until an actual rock hit it. If that scratched area caused the huge growing internal crack, this cheap replacement glass broke with little contact in a little over a year. I tried to take a photo of the surface scratch to put on Yelp but the surface scratch didn't even come out in the photos because it was so small. Maybe I need a macro lens to capture it. Their solution was for me to replace the entire windshield again at full cost. Bottom line, they weaseled their way out of honoring the warranty. Either they find any excuse to not honor the warranty or the windshield is a weak piece of garbage that will not last very long. They're cheap yes, but you get what you pay for. read more

Really positive experience - I was able to schedule an appointment for a same day repair, was in and out in ~30 min, and when I was checking out they let me know I was eligible for AAA discounts (even though I forgot to ask) and saved me over half the cost of the replacement! I checked around and got a good referral from Service King (shout out) regarding getting my windshield replaced (rock on the freeway hit it. I was behind a big rig. Lesson learned) at Safelite. These guys did a great job. The process took about an hour. They vacuumed my car, thank you and they even provide you with a lifetime warranty to replace the windshield - if there's any defect. Highly recommended. The gentlemen who fixed my car were friendly and professional. Lastly, the price was $317. read more

I was very satisfied with the work done on my front windshield on my 2004 Toyota Camry. I made an appointment ahead of time and was happy to be serviced as soon as I got there. The work was done pretty quick -- in about an hour. The gentleman working at the front was helpful and helped me to process the work through my insurance provider. Came here to get my back window replaced due to a scratch I got from who knows where. It was a pretty deep cut so figured I just get the whole windshield replaced. Looked this place up on yelp and made my appointment for the upcoming weekend. Came in and waited around for a bit. I was assisted in few minutes or so. Guy came to inspect my car and put in an order for my windshield. I got it the following weekend. Pretty quick and easy installation. read more

While driving on the freeway, a truck's debris from his rear tire hit my front windshield causing a window chip. After checking Yelp, I made several calls to some vendors, who were not able to help me in repairing it. I recalled seeing the television commercial and gave Safelite a call. They were not taking appointments by phone, but they directed me to their website. I accessed their website and the first available appointment was a mobile appointment 3 weeks out. The Tech, Rafael, was prompt, very friendly and very knowledgeable. He took care of the problem and the small chip is covered from the outside. If you are sitting in the car there is a very small mark left. He explained this was due to debris, possibly dust getting in the chipped spot. But overall he did a nice job. The only suggestion for improvement that I can make is that they are more available to customers and that the appointments are not so far out. read more

Fausto took care of my chip and shatter, larger than a nickle size. I was told by two other glass repair companies, and 2 dealerships I would need to replace the lane departure sensor windshield $$$, AND have the new windshield re-calibrated, at additional cost of almost $200! I reached out to Safelite online, and the rep had me send a photo, and told me it could be repaired! I made an appointment for the next day online with the Pasadena location (with a coupon sent to my email per my original inquiry). I was early for my appointment but I was greeted and processed in for service within minutes, and escorted to the coffee and snacks. The waiting room and restroom were very clean, which was very appreciated. Fausto explained everything to me, gave me good advice for cleaning tree sap off my windows, advised me on the best windshield wipers for my extreme use, and suggested I look into the glass repair clause on my auto insurance (since this was my second chip in 10 months). He offered me the AAA discount (I knew about it but had forgotten to ask). Fausto assured me that, should the repair fail at some point, the cost of the repair would go toward the replacement cost of the windshield. They are also certified to re-calibrate the lane departure sensors on any new windshield, so I would not have to make a second appointment with the dealership (a service some other companies do not offer) should I eventually need complete replacement. I highly recommend the Pasadena Safelite location, and will be seeing Fausto there for all my glass repair and replacement needs! read more

Contracted through my insurer to replace windshield at my home. First, showed up(on time) with wrong windshield - had to re-schedule for next day. Showed up (on time) with wrong windshield again - waited while a different one was delivered. Installed the windshield, but broke a windshield wiper arm in the process. That's when the real aggravation began. The part was never ordered until I followed up and I could never get someone who was responsible to do anything. I kept getting shuffled around - the company is too big and bureaucratic. When the wiper arm finally was replaced, I discovered that the rain sensor system was also not working -- another week of frustration getting that fixed. Never again - I'll find a good local shop. read more

ive never had an issue with safelite until my last wind shield replacement. the guy came out and installed my glass sometime during the 4 hour window that I was given. afterwords while driving my car I had a loud wisteling obviously they didnt seal it up rihght.so a couple days later I take it into their shop this is a 2018 they are the only ones to touch my cars glass. when they go to remove the new windshield they snap off all of my trim.with the explanation that someone used way to much glue. after explaining that the guy that did it just a couple days prior was standing about 20 foot away he tells me that I have no proof that they did the work I go back and forth with him he gets very disrespectful calls me by a rude pet name and they make me pay for damages another customer was on my side they were rude to her as well very discusted with how rude unprofessional and down right stupid they are never again will I use them and I will strongly recoment aginst safe lit auto glass. Had a really good experience using Safelite. Windowshield cracked (about 2 foot long crack) due to a small un-repaired crack expanding in the heat and turning into a huge one. Used Online booking system the night before on a Sunday and dropped off my car Monday morning when they opened. Check in was fast, they replaced the windshield and I picked up the car in good shape at the end of the day after work. Did not have to miss work or take time off, it was really convenient. I did not go through insurance for the repairs though, so can't speak to that part of the experience. Overall would recommend. read more

This is who they recommend and honestly I was very pleased with their work. I put off fixing the crack in my windshield for a few years...but it just kept getting bigger and I finally decided to replace it. I didn't want to go through the hassle of filing a claim under my insurance, so I went to Safelite's website and requested a quote. It turned out to be just under my deductible, so I made an appointment. It was pretty easy and I was helped promptly. The entire process took under 2 hours. EXCELLENT customer relations and service! My rating and recommendation for this location come primarily with the awesome service and professionalism I received from Louis (or Lewis sp?) the quality manager and Keith, who were both great to work with. My windshield was hit with a large rock that sprayed from a semi on the 118 freeway. It immediately created a crack that spanned ~1/4 of my windshield, so I wanted it fixed as soon as possible since it was partially obstructing my view. I called to schedule service with Safelite because they were recommended by my insurance company and had an opening the next morning (I was surprised by how many places are booked up for weeks for windshield replacements..I guess this happens fairly frequently!) Interestingly, as I called around to get quotes, another autoglass shop (All Star) said that my Acura TSX requires custom side molding from the dealership before I am able to schedule an appointment (and these custom moldings would certainly double the cost of the replacement). I called Safelite again to ask whether this was needed or not, and the technician I spoke with confirmed that the custom molding was not needed. However, the morning of my appointment, I was told that my car did in fact require the custom parts from the dealership (apparently the previous technician was inaccurate). But before I could even get frustrated from the miscommunication, Louis (the quality manager) called a few local Acura dealerships and found one that had the requested molding for my car in stock. He then personally drove over to pick up the parts himself and provided me a HUGE discount for the trouble, and even helped me file a claim through my insurance (he took care of the discount on the back end with the Safelite corporate office). It is truly rare to come across such great customer service these days, and I genuinely appreciated the effort that Louis made to ensure that I was completely satisfied. Because of his efforts going above and beyond, I will certainly be recommending this specific Safelite location to all my friends and be returning here for any glass service in the future. Thank you!
