If I had a choice to pick one bike shop around LA to trust my bikes for the lifetime it's gonna Safety Cycle and its owner Eric!!! This place got the super professional mechanics, good selection of bikes and "honesty" indeed forgotten by everybody nowadays!

Awesome bike shop. Recommended by a friend and drove all the way from orange county and was totally worth it. Came to eye shop and gave me a deal I couldn't resist. Bike was already converted tubeless and they gave me a free fitting and ended up buying a bike rack. Absolutely amazing service and made feel comfortable all the way. Not to mention their finance option is awesome. Eric and song were very kind and patient. Go now! You won't regret! Can't wait to take it on the trails tomorrow!

I have to write this review right now while I'm still in the parking lot. I've been to safety cycle 3 times now which isn't the most convenient for me because I live in Irvine but one of my group ride buddies had recommended this place as being the nicest guys and best shop in la. I'm going to say, this is the best LBS I've ever been apart of. I say that I'm a part of it bc of how often you'll end up frequenting your local bike shop once you get into cycling. Sometimes their repair times are so different and customer service is hit or miss because theirs no actual organized queue but when you finally get serviced, especially from the owner (I think his name is Jun), it really will strike you why so many people love this shop. They do really great work and are incredibly honest. Seriously love safety cycle and it's my go to, I don't even consider any other shops and that's coming from someone who makes an hour and a half drive to get here and back and then there and back again when I need to pick up whichever bike I have in there.

Got here following a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. This bike shop is great! Bought my Specialized Aethos here and Daniel was extremely helpful! He showed me the bike options and explained everything about my new bike. Even showed me how to replace a tire. I would give him 10 stars if I could! Thank you, Daniel and Safety Cycle.

Great service and results. Although it's about $90 min when they do any work on your bike it's always worth it. Thank you guys.

They automatically give you a credit card, over 30% interest! Before I got any paperwork for the 'free loan' they sent me an unsolicited credit card with interest on that card over 30%! I thought it was an unsolicited credit card so I cut it up and threw it away. Almost instantly, I got daily comments through text messages, why have you not activated your credit card? Your credit card needs to be activated immediately!! I don't want their over 30% credit card!! Followed by texts, counting down days to payment due! When I try and set up account on the Synchrony bank app., to make a payment, I find that without a Synchrony bank account or their credit card, They tell me that they can't find me and no payment can be made at this time. No Credit Card or Checking or Savings account, located with Synchrony. So I call them and get someone with extremely limited English at the Offshore Call Center!! This person tells me that they will only accept payments through the Synchrony Bank. Either mail a check or money order, or my personal bank debit card information. Tried to pay in FULL using my personal debit card, but would not accept payment more than $500.00. I am glad this is a one purchase only transaction, because I will never go back to a business that insists on me using their payment program, instead of letting me go ahead and pay for my purchase at the time of purchase! P.S. I do enjoy the trike, just not the company that I have to make the payments to!! I just won't be going back very soon to this business! I located a shop near me that lubed the squeaks and will do any future repairs I may need. Also, their "chat" is not actually live. They tell you they will contact you in a few minutes, but it's been over hours and I'm still waiting.

About an hour after pickup, the bike completely lost power and went into anti-theft mode. Another battery didn't solve it. I returned asking them to check whether anything could have been accidentally disturbed during the brake work--not to accuse anyone, but to troubleshoot what happened immediately after their repair. Instead, I felt dismissed. Rodney, the person in charge, repeatedly insisted that because they don't do electrical work, they couldn't have contributed to the issue, while talking over my concerns. I later contacted an independent e-bike specialist on my own--not an employee of this shop or someone they referred me to--who repaired the electrical problem. He couldn't conclusively determine the cause, although he said the lever repair could potentially have played a role. What IS certain: the very next day, the brake lever I paid this shop to repair failed badly and had to be replaced. Thankfully, I wasn't going downhill or riding in heavy traffic. I wasn't looking for an admission of guilt. I wanted my concerns taken seriously and a safe, dependable brake repair. Unfortunately, I received neither.

The other day, we were riding along the river path and decided to stop at Spoke for a beer after spending some time on the trail. We walked in, ordered a couple of beers, and the woman helping us immediately seemed annoyed that we were only ordering drinks. Her facial expressions and overall attitude made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. After taking our payment, she went to the back to grab our beers. We waited about seven minutes, which seemed like a long time considering we only ordered beer. When she finally came back, the beers were room temperature instead of cold. Normally I would have said something, but because of how short and unfriendly she had been from the start, I honestly didn't feel comfortable bringing it up. It felt like I'd just be met with more attitude. I still like Spoke, and I'll definitely be back for the breakfast burritos because they're great. I just hope this experience was a one-off, because better customer service and properly chilled beer would have made a huge difference.
