This is the most disgusting Safeway I've ever seen. The restroom is filthy, smelly and never clean. There's staff who are rude and act like they don't see you when you're needing help. This is our neighborhood grocery store, nearest to our home, but we'll never Go back to this store. Well drive down the hill to the Auburn store or go to Covington. It's seriously gone downhill quite steadily and there's no hope for it with those who work there. read more

Very overpriced. All other grocers on kent east hill are gone. It sucks to have to drive to auburn to not be ripped off. And its christmas eve and they have no eggnog. read more

I stopped into this store to pick up a few items. The store was really clean and orderly. I picked out my items and was able to go directly to the check out. No waiting! That was a plus. And apparently I had a few items that were on sale because my total was less than I was expecting. Nice experience! read more

I've been here two times now and both times I have been here the customer service has been amazing. Right off I walked in the store and started searching for something. I had someone come up to me to see if I needed help in finding something. The floral department looked amazing! Flowers looked amazingly fresh! read more

I really enjoy the gas rewards. They ha good prices for the most part. Fast and friendly service. I would like to see more self serve check outs. (Don't like how most people bag my stuff. Bread & fruits gets squished often). read more

As far as safeways go its no the best and its not the worst. It's one of the newer ones and the self checkout is amazing. It's also nice to be able to find all the same items as the ones in California carried. I only wish they would carry more local beers and less of the ones you can just get anywhere. read more

Today I go into Safeway. The one I have been going to since I was a little girl. As I go to check out. All I hear is talking from the cashiers. I am waiting to pay and the cashiers are talking about nonsense between each other at their check stand. What happened to customer service ? Say hello how are you? Talk to the customers. You are being paid to interact with with people and to check out there food. But no. I don't like going into a store and hearing Mya and Triston talk about halfsies on a pizza they want to get for lunch. Safeway you need to teach your people what customer service is and do a class with the new people. I am very displeased with this. It is very rude and disrespectful. I would never do that to customers even with my line of work. read more

I shop at this Safeway regularly. It's easy to get to from many directions, parking is okay and they have a gas station. The store is relatively new so it's a nice building. Their claw machine is beatable. I tend to play that before going shopping. They recently added a self checkout line. I love it! read more

Customer service is above and beyond. These people just rock my world. And their sale prices -- like all the Safeways -- beat all. This staff is exceptionally well trained, though, and I cannot compliment them enough for their willingness to bend over backwards. My wife left her wallet in a cart in the parking lot in the pouring rain, and when she raced back to the store, she watched an employee collecting carts grab her wallet and run it into the customer service desk. Run! Trying to keep it dry, she thinks. Cash, cards, phone...everything safe and sound. And they refused a tip. Customers for life. read more

I came in here late on a Monday night around 10:30-11. I brought my dog with me who is a registered emotional support animal but doesn't have her vest yet due to her size and us waiting for it to come in. I do carry the paperwork with me for anyone who asks so they can see she is. One last, not sure if she was a manager or not, came by and asked if she was a service animal and before I could even get a word out, she quickly said that my animal was not aloud in here and I can't do this again and rushed off. I was trying to get the papers out to show her but she ran into the back room. I don't mind if you ask because I understand no vest right now but the way she said it and the fact that she didn't give me the time to tell her really upset me and I just wanted to the leave the store. I like the store for it's products and pricing but for people with service animals or emotional support animals, please just be polite and if you see a vest, great. If not, maybe they have an ID card or something to prove they are. Just be considerate of those people more. read more

Convenient and close to home. The store is always clean, but it is not always stocked to the best of it's abilities. Sometimes I think they do a lot of their stocking during the days rather than at night and this causes are sorts of traffic jams in the aisles. The cold case of ready to drink beverages is poorly stocked. Other than that, this place is well kept. Plenty of open checkout lanes makes getting in and out easy. read more

Pretty normal Safeway experience. I ventured forth on a quest for Cadbury mini-eggs around Easter time. If you've never had one, it's a chocolate egg about 2cm long covered in a thin crunchy sugar shell. It's like if an M&M were actually worth it. Once at the dawn of time a golden sky-lion seared across the heavens gorging itself on chocolate albatrosses and a drip of Ambrosia slipped from its lips and fell to Earth where a Cadbury chocolatier captured it in an upturned crystal goblet. That was my goal at Safeway. Alas, thwarted by high demand. As I left, a woman passed, scolding her child (who looked super miserable like he was about to hurl chunks) and a Safeway employee gathering carts looked upon her with disapproval. She quieted her tirade at least until she was in her car, sparing that poor slip of a wretch she felt entitled to abuse because of its unfortunate luck to be the fruit of her loins. How many lives has that hero touched in just such a small way? PS please start stocking the Banana/Root Beer/Lime variety pack of twin pops. Everybody only ever has the Cherry/Orange/Grape anymore and you would really make my day. read more

Just stopped by the store with an empty bottle of Kevita (a health drink) that I had purchased on Monday (6/13) because after consuming same I noticed the label read "enjoy by 6/03/16". Not a huge deal until the customer service gal intimated that I was ripping them off...for a $3 drink! Are you kidding me! I'm 60 years young, clean cut, gray hair, collared shirt. I'm sure I'll be back as I have been shopping there for the last 15 years. That said, I'll be doing the bulk of my shopping at the local QFC. read more
