More bagged and boxed items that are not appealing to the eye
    Kylie B.

The bakery here is the worst I have ever experienced. Week after week, nothing exciting, nothing fresh. Everything looks prepackaged and day old. The employees are never, ever there to help. The cakes are all kiddie and not fresh. But that doesn't really matter cause there's no one there to get them for you anyway.

Rotten carrots - all they had to do was look at what they put in my bag
    Darcie W.

Twice now they've given me rotten and expired food in a pickup order. When I went inside for yogurt I found over 10 expired yogurts before I gave up and told an employee who didn't seem to care. Today my order had browned, moldy, mushy, rotten carrots and soggy green onions. We will be going to Wegmans from now on.

Just purchased this cottage cheese to only open to mold

WTF safeway. This is NOT the first time i've purchased food form here then go home to find it moldy.

    Side view of store.

Service in the store can be very bad at times. For instance, this evening on a Friday night around 6:30 PM which is a busy time there are long lines -- and when you look around there are no cashiers at all. It's all self service. Later two cashiers finally show up, it takes quite a while to get through all the line and still not enough cashiers to meet the huge demand. Another frequent problem happened to me tonight I got overcharged because the store forgot to remove a sale price sign from last week so an item that should've been on sale last week. I got charge full price because the sign was still there. So I had to wait in another long line to get my refund. The store seems to have a lot of problems hiring and retaining employees which takes the service down quite a bit. Those employees that stay often as friendly because I think they're overworked.

    Sign needs some TLC

Great neighborhood grocery story that underpins the growing neighborhood. Very nice workers, pretty clean. Needs some updating, especially the exterior and surrounding area as there's rapid modernization of this neighborhood with new homes and a wegmans across 123.

"Stanley" couldn't be bothered to put the sticker on correctly. Just slapped it on top and walked away.
    Jim P.

Forget getting anything at the deli if Stanley is working. If you've been there, you know the guy. Looks like Stanley from The Office. Same god-awful attitude, as well. He'll see you standing there, but won't come out to help you. If, by miracle, he does come out from the back, he'll do his best to make you feel like you're the biggest pain in the butt inconvenience to him since the day Michael tried to interrupt his crossword puzzle in the meeting room ("DID I STUTTER!?"). The rest of the store is just fine. The only other complaint is that they have an annoying habit of closing self-checkout after 8 or 9pm, leaving just one checkout lane open with a long line. Go early! Also, the gas station is a good deal if you're part of the Safeway club - you can get up to $0.20 off a gallon there. Overall, it's a fine store, but the one guy who works 75% of the time at the deli really kills it for me.

    Jackie G.

Safeway has always been my go to spot since it is literally 3 minutes away from my home, but everything started changing once they took out the self checkout line. I understand the reason why they took it out, but it has caused the lines to form so long at the regular checkout. The cashiers are fast and polite, but i think we need the self-checkout machines back. I usually go to Safeway early in the morning or late at night to pick up items, and usually people have that same mentality that it becomes a hugh crowd just to pay.

    open 24hours
    K K.

This Safeway is open 24hours -a plus. It's recently renovated -another plus. The self check out line always ends up costing me more time. How about adding more cashiers and remove the self check out line? There is plenty of parking. The store is in the middle of no where. There is no other stores around it.

Love their fresh baked goods, produce, hot bar, and healthy prepared foods with more vegan options. They also have these $2 snack packs, which comes in handy with the kids. This Wegmans is much smaller and more compact with a neighborhood vibe rather than the traditional larger store (there's a small bar area and food court). Wegmans has really expanded their vegan and vegetarian prepared food options this year - the juicy Eggplant Parm is delicious! It has become my weekly staple! While the Butter Paneer is quite sweet, I appreciate the diversity of ethnic foods. The Veggie Lasagna is a bit soggy. The Vegan Cobb Salad, Kale Mushroom Tofu Salad, Kung Pao Tofu Bowl, and Vegan Sushi are quite good! The new Truffle Veggies and Portobello Mushroom Pizzas in prepackaged food trays are perfect for roasting veggies, you just throw the tray in the oven! The food court has a few stations - sandwiches, pizza, and burgers and closes around 8pm (salad and poke bowls were discontinued). The veggie burger is quite good, as well as the classic fries and sweet potato fries. The Truffle Mushroom Pizza is delicious! There's an Asian hot bar with Chinese food and a wing station. The crispy tofu in spicy soy sauce is delicious! There's also a bar with pretty good drinks, the Lycheetini was delicious! Wegman's has the best grocery store bakery with super adorable sugar cookies, seasonal caramel apple cake and pumpkin cakes are delicious, other favorites include oegy gooey chocolate chip cookies, Oreo cheesecake, peanut butter cheesecake, summer fruit tarts, chocolate covered strawberry, and moist strawberry shortcake. The seasonal maple donut, strawberry and blueberry cobbler donuts are delicious. The fluffy croissants and Jalapeno Cheddar bagels are quite tasty too! While the baked goods are generally pretty fresh, they are made every other day Including some of the cookies. Free parking without validation up to 2 hours now. There's also cute green grocery carts for kids. You can get digital coupons on the app. I've been able to save over $50 from the mail and digital coupons! Can't wait to come back tomorrow!

Produce is also still hit or miss and prices are fairly high overall. Once you survive the gauntlet of suckage and are ready to leave this place, Giant has one last surprise in store for you. You have a choice of waiting in absurdly long lines for the 1 or 2 checkout lines that are open or using a self service check out that only allows 20 items or less and is virtually guaranteed to malfunction at least once per trip for no real reason, causing a stressed out employee to have to intervene. I come here occasionally since it's the closest full grocery store but coming here is a chore for sure.

I got a couple of things from the Deli section and there were three employees working there which made everything go fast. Normally at other stores there is only one person and 3 - 4 customers waiting. I didn't see any salad bar, and I'm not sure if they got rid of it. I also purchased a gallon of orange juice and some strawberries. I was tempted to get some fresh sushi for lunch as well, but opted to eat what I have leftover from last night.

There were a lot of people there but the layout made it easy to move around. What I loved most about my last visit was the absolutely gorgeous selection of flowers they had. I was able to leave with some beautiful options, including some flowers I've never heard of, to create some gorgeous bouquets to decorate the house. I was impressed with how long those flowers lasted. They didn't even start to wilt until about 2 and 1/2 weeks after I brought them home. They looked good for well over 3 weeks and it was a sad day when I had to finally toss them. I've never had flowers last that long from any other store, including other Trader Joe's locations. I'm not sure what love and affection they're feeding those flowers but keep it up! Of course, as always, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful...
