Hey, I get it, people are impatient they have things to do. But so do all the other people waiting, helping or servicing. I just want to shout out Lenon the pharmacist who always checks to see how I'm doing, several of the techs who when they see me immediately know if I'm picking up for my kids or myself, and always are friendly, and the sales people who today kindly commented on my outfit. A second of kindness is all it takes. What do you get out of making someone else angry and miserable? And for the dude who was rude to the tech, what he didn't know or ASK, was that the neighborhood lost its power in the late afternoon until close to midnight. The pharmacy team had to do a massive catch up of orders and existing meds. Give each other grace, it's the least you'd want for yourself. Also, I seriously always appreciate this rite aid for always having our RX stocked and always serving with a friendly demeanor. I know retail pharmacy isn't easy, keep up the great work, y'all.

This means that the aisles are shorter, and it takes less time to walk to the back of the store than other places. This Rite Aid also has three entrances in front, which allows us to walk in and see the many aisles, then picking the aisle that we want to go to. The size of this store is just the right size. This means, like Trader Joe's, they have to stock just the right amount, and not face customers with a huge aisle of hair products (too many to choose from) This conforms to the small town feel of Lake Oswego, which we locals have come to love. I NEVER get to shop without my toddler, but since this was for Easter, I had someone watch them so I could actually shop alone. An employee came up, told me it was closed, flipped the sign from open to closed, and said "too bad." I explained I live 30 minutes away and rarely get this chance. She told me to just buy it and return it, then claimed no one in the entire store had a key. So either she lied, or there's a serious security issue. Imagine a situation in a fitting room where someone needs help and no one can access it--that's unacceptable. I checked out with the item I had to find myself, then went to customer service to pick up the rest of my order. They told me I had to leave the store and drive to a pickup spot--even though I was already inside. It could also be that automatic refills work just fine and there is simply no one there to actually fill the Rx. The main problem is that refills take 4-6 days to fill and you have to call to find out what the hold up is and often no one answers the phone. On several occasions the Rx was incomplete but the tech didn't bother to explain that to me, and if I hadn't checked the paperwork and called (and someone eventually picked up) I would have run out of medication. I still may as the date the staff gave me is more than two weeks after it was supposed to be filled. The pharmacists and/or pharmacy techs seem to have problems counting, too, because so many times they don't seem to know how long a month is or when the Rx can be filled. If the problem is a staff shortage, management should hire more staff and not put the ones who remain in the position of improvising excuses for the poor service. People need their medicines and pharmacies need to fill prescriptions on time and with the correct amount of medication.

Every six months, I have a Prolia injection which has contributed to strengthening my bones. While I have always been completely covered by my semi-annual injections of Prolia given in a hospital, my physician and I thought it might be more convenient to pick up the Prolia from a pharmacy and just inject it in her office. I picked it up at the CVS in Lake Oswego, OR, and checked out not realizing the appalling cost. The Prolia at that Safeway, which my insurance had fully covered for decades at various hospital sessions, horrifyingly cost me $750+. I had immediately put it in the fridge, had not opened it, and offered to return it. Safeway said no. It seems to me that the profit-hungry commercial pharmacies, as others more caring have done, should warn their customers when they might face and alert their customers to these potential appalling over-charges and indifference to their customers' cares.
