    Wow! Expensive!! Inflation though....uff!!

Okay, let me just make a disclaimer that this Safeway location is incredibly organized . The merchandising department is owed some mad respect for how they display everything in the store. I am a neat freak so I can always appreciate the way the store looks. Nice customer service as well. All the workers treat you like family in a way as they remember you and always inquire how you are doing. One thing I can say though is that a lot of their produce and some of their perishable items have close to ending expiration dates on them. There have been a few times when I saw some moldy vegetables in the produce department and I had to point it out to some of the workers. Also, I had on occasion bought some items in the store that were already expired and I had to toss those items out so when shopping at this location, please look at the expiration dates before placing them in your cart. Also, because of this broken economy we live in right now (hopefully that changes soon), prices are exceedingly high so I do recommend getting the Safeway club card to save on your food purchases. Overall, not a bad Safeway location but not the greatness location either .

Location, Location, Location I shop at this Safeway because it is convenient when I need to pick up something for a potluck for work. Also, I love their $5 Friday deals. I come here mostly for the baked goods or sometimes when I need to pick up items from the produce section. This is not where I normally do my grocery shopping but I always find what I need when I shop here. Since my purchases are usually less then 5 items I pay using the self checkout. Fast and easy. There is a Starbucks inside this Safeway. Lately, I found out that this location is also a pick up place for Amazon packages. If choosing this pick up hub the name is Amazon Hub Locker - Carrot and the lockers are outside Safeway to the right of the corner entrance. Safeway affiliated companies are Albertsons, Vons, and Lucky, to name a few. Review #2766

The shop is set up in an interesting way where you enter through the produce section and snake around to the main shopping area. I thought this was cool at first but realized the way they have it set up to get back to produce you either have to go past the cash registers (which I think they don't want) or loop back around to get up front again. I typically like picking up produce last so it's on the top of my cart/basket so I ended up heading back that way at the end. The rest of the shopping visit was pretty typical and I loved the selection of items they had. I ended up picking up some cheeses, yogurt, noodles, and grapes during this visit. The prepared section did look nice, and if I hadn't already eaten lunch I would have grabbed something here. The staff member who helped me was friendly too.

It was my first time stopping at this location and the store orientation was a little different than some others I've visited. I noticed the frozen aisles had a nice amount of space, which probably helps when they're crowded. I was able to find everything I was looking for. Some of my Trader Joe's staples are the string cheese, white corn, salted sunflower seeds, Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta, and couscous. Of course I picked up a bunch of other items, including some candles, room spray, treats for my dog, and some impulse candy buys (mango and passion fruit chocolate cups- YES PLEASE!). I had a great experience shopping during this less busy time, and the staff was super friendly. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely make a point to stop in!

When I told my sister, she ended up telling me to get them as gifts for overseas relatives. Such a small bag with no closure, but cute. I guess you're supposed to decorate them, but I am too lazy to craft. I must resist entering TJ's so often! The bill adds up quickly. I hope you, too, can resist spending there.

Trader Joe's also has unique floral arrangements that you don't normally find at regular grocery stores. Within 24 hours, maybe less, they were opening up and had that beautiful bright yellow they daffodils are known for. I love buying quite a few bunches so that it looks fuller in the vase! As much as I loved these flowers, they didn't last more than a few days. At both my house and my clients, these were tossed by the end of the week (I bought them on a Sunday.) Although I bought them at such a good price, I would still love for flowers to last a bit longer, not than less than a week.. (When I buy them at Safeway, they last 2 weeks!) Their ads come out Tuesday night on the handy Safeway app. The old school way (cutting coupons from ads) is still availablel. For the discounts, you can use your phone number. That gets you member prices, which saves you money. Without signing up for the Safeway membership, you will pay a substantial amount more. This store is very clean. It's nice to grab yourself a coffee at Starbucks while you shop. All the departments work very hard to maintain an organized space, although there are hiccups here and there. They have great weekly specials. One that I am fond of is their "$5 Friday," where they offer an items/items for a deal. At this store, if they are out of that item that is part of their $5 Friday, you snooze you lose. For example, Safeway was offering the beef short ribs at just $5 a pound in their meat deptartment back in mid January, but they ran out. Normally, if they're out of an item that's on sale, you can request what's called a "rain check" at check out. This "rain check" is good for 30 days after it is given to you. I just found out they do not offer "rain checks" at this store for $5 Friday items, as said by the new night manager on Friday February 6th. Thankfully, it was already provided to me in mid January by an employee that also did not know this was a rule. So they honored it. At this store, "rain checks" are available on other items that are on sale in the ad during the week. Since this Safeway is not close to where I live, two other Safeway's have told me they offer it on all items all the time because they want to keep the customers coming back. Even on the $5 Friday items. So, for the inconvenience of having to go to another store because of this, I did drop my star rating by 2. I like using self checkout. It is easy and quick. The card systems take Apple and Android pay. There is a checker available to help you if you run into any issues. One person watches over about 6-8 self check out stations. Regular check stands are still available, too. I won't stop coming to this store. My client lives around the corner and she has her favorite Safeway items, like that roasted chicken I just picked up for her. She loves drinking Sprite and about every other week, Sprite will go on sale at Safeway's as "buy 2, get 2 free" and every so often, "buy 2 get 3 free." How can you pass up a deal like that?!
