There was supposed to be 4.06lbs of chicken but instead, there was only 3lb 7.5oz of chicken mind you that includes the tag and two plastic bags in the weight! The actual packaging that was left over weighted almost 14 oz! A little over half a pound of chicken is missing!

Trader Joe's publishes a friendly flyer, which is advertisement of all their products that they sell at their stores. The space feels roomy, though somewhat dimly lit and sterile. Pricing is decent and competitive with PCC and Whole Foods. It does not have as many local products as the Seattle store, fresh bread in particular. They do carry some unique products like corn tortillas made in Shelton and baguettes from Vashon. Overall, I like this chain but prefer the Seattle store for selection.

Lines do take awhile but they have self check out for 10 items or less. Remember no credit taken here; bring your ATM card or use your phone debit card. Great to have this store close to my home.

When we walked up to the checkout, the cashier and the employee bagging groceries were engaged in a conversation and laughing together. We completely understand that employees interact with one another, but once customers are at the register, they should feel acknowledged. Unfortunately, neither employee looked up, smiled, greeted us, or said a single word during the transaction. The only thing the cashier said was while handing me the receipt, and it was so quiet I couldn't even understand what was said. The lack of even basic acknowledgment made us feel like an interruption rather than valued customers. Metropolitan Market has always had a reputation for exceptional service, which is why this experience was so surprising and disappointing. I hope this was simply an isolated incident, but it's something management should be aware of.
