My husband and I ordered off the the Aunty's Assembly 4 course meal for 2 and had the Butter Chicken Samosa's, Mint Dosa's, Chicken Tikka Masala, Rice, Garlic Naan, and Mango Mousse Cake for dessert. All were excellent. We took the dessert and some of the food home cause we were full. Everything had great flavor and presentation. The only thing I might try next time is to ask to make my Chicken Tikka Masala a little more spicy, I think we just had mild. Love the ambiance of the restaurant, feels kind of hip, modern, and fusion-y. The host was pleasant and our server, Maddie, was nice and helpful. Can't wait to come back and try the buffet for lunch. Dined this location in Riverton last Friday with a group of friends. Enjoyed their outdoor seating, which was really nice. It wasn't crowded outdoors so we could enjoy each other's company and be a bit louder in conversation and laugh. We stayed well beyond our meal time which Saffron was very good to accommodate without pressure. Service was good, although it did take awhile for our food to arrive. Flavorful and pungent as you'd expect from Indian cuisine. That's what I love! It's off the traditional American beaten path that I was tired of eating and grateful our friends chose something different. Here was the break down... Appetizer: Garlic Cheese Naan - super good! Chicken Tikka Masala - good, but too close to my main dish. My fault there... Main: Butter Chicken, heat #5 (way too spicy, unenjoyable) flavor was good when Main: Malai Chicken - a bit overcooked and slightly served on the cold side. Everything was great! My mother and I came in for a 2pm lunch on a Sunday. We ordered Saag with Paneer, it came with a side of white Jasmine rice. Then we order one garlic Naan, a mango Lassi, and veggie pakoras for an appetizer. Food was excellent. Just that was enough for 3 or 4 adults. We had leftovers to take home. The waiter was attentive. Food is great- probably the best naan I've had! Super fresh and hot (we get the garlic). Restaurant is clean and nicely set up. They have a patio I am looking forward to using when it's warmer. My only problem is the service seems slow. I think they need an extra server. Plan to spend extra time here. read more

Herriman has definitely taken some time to get some variety in their restaurant selection, but the time has finally come for high quality, flavorful food to come around! Saffron Circle has great hours (open on Sunday is an instant win), great atmosphere, and the food hits the spot every time. I enjoy the variety on the menu, not to mention the 4 course meal that is offered for those dates with your significant other. If you are fortunate to have Subbi as your server, be prepared for attentive service and excellent recommendations from the menu. The food was was delicious and the serving sizes were adequate. I had the coconut korma just under medium (on spice) and it was just right. It was warm but not over powering. I was drawn in by the name--Saffron--and the decor totally fit the name. A very nice set up. The waiter that helped us with our to go order kept insisting that we order more food than we wanted. The flat bread wasn't that great and the butter chicken and butter lamb were missing meat portions for the price. The recommended plate would have to be the mixed grill. A great first impression! Decor is beautiful and bright and food presentation was Simple and classic. We tried the Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken Samosa and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Garlic Naan was a little too greasy for me but the Husband loves it. Butter Chicken was my favorite, crispy outside, soft savory inside and a great flavor. We used to love eating here. Chicken tikka masala was incredible! Last three or four times we've gotten it, it's not the same. Bland and tasteless. So disappointed. Will not be eating here again as we've given it many chances and, sadly, can make better tasting food at home. read more

An experience second to none. I'm from Southern California, where we have many really good Indian restaurants. This matches them easily, and the personal service sets them apart. The sweet and nutty naan was outstanding! I have never had such good naan. The garlic naan was also very good. The lamb biryani was outstanding, as were the fish and butter curries. Food was way over cooked and overpriced. Chicken was rubbery and burned. Not worth the $75 for two entrees.

They are still figuring a few things out (given that they just opened and is expected unless you are part of some massive conglomerate!) but when I tell you the taste is on point...gguurrrllll, it's really amazing! We had the dal, grill platter, goat curry and ALL was incredibly tasty! The decor is fantastic, the food is delicious and people are incredibly warm and welcoming. I finally went to saffron valley's sister company: Saffron Circle. It's alllllll the way in Riverton. It's worth the drive if you're into the architect & decor but not worth it if you want good Indian food. We got the vegetable coconut curry, lamb vindaloo, & a jr chicken tikka masala. The vegetable one wasn't flavored at all, the lamb one was sweet, & the chicken was mediocre. We also got 3 garlic naan $3 each) and they brought it out to us about 10 minutes before our food got there. By the time our food arrived, our naan was getting cold. Our server didn't refill our soda, so we're not sure if there's no free refills or she didn't pay attention. The decor here was SO nice and the vibe was really sophisticated + you can see the chefs cook. Bottom line: amazing decor, mediocre food. read more
