He had one of his guys come out within 3 days of my review and repair all of the boards that were warped. He screwed all four boards together, used multiple stakes on each side (instead of just two originally), and even set the corners into concrete so they wouldn't come up again. We explained that we wanted a low-maintenance outdoor space that felt clean, modern, and sophisticated. About a week later, Evan sent us a design image created by their in-house designer. Evan was also the one who recommended the white decorative rock, which makes the patio feel brighter and more spacious, as well as the gray multicolored pavers for the area where we planned to install our pergola. We happened to have very similar tastes, but more than anything, we were truly impressed by his excellent sense of design. His recommendations helped bring our vision to life. The project was originally scheduled to take three days, but the entire job was completed in just a day and a half! The entire crew was incredibly professional. They worked with incredible speed and efficiency, and the finished work was absolutely perfect. We were especially impressed by Nicco, the manager, and the entire crew. Watching them work so hard in the intense heat, with such dedication and professionalism, truly made us appreciate their efforts. We also received estimates from three other companies. The other companies told us that a design image would cost $500, but this company provided ours free of charge. We were also told by other companies that we would need additional drainage pipes. Nevertheless, we felt APL deserved our review anyway. Here is why: First, the company's communications with us were excellent. Our initial meeting was scheduled at our convenience. They were also very clear in identifying and explaining certain limitations regarding our project- a strong indication our general project plan was not just read, but studied in advance of our meeting. Our project was a complete front and back yard redo (including building planters and installing hardscape). I met with Steve, a very personable and knowledgeable individual. I was very impressed with his candor and honesty. He explained to me what his company's licensing authorized them to do and some things about our project that were beyond the scope of their licensing. Imagine, an honest contractor! I respected Steve's candor and integrity for disclosing that during our meeting. It signaled what we could expect in the quality of the work (had we hired APL). I felt APL had our best interests in mind in laying out its capabilities to make our yard dreams come true. I am keeping APL in my contacts for future reference. Reach out to them. Additionally, the contractor stated via email that the project would be finished before summer. By mid-June, approximately six weeks after the start date, 50% of the project was complete. During this period, work stopped for week-long intervals without prior notification, requiring multiple phone calls to obtain status updates. The contractor then requested the final 50% payment to complete the project. They sent an email specifying that the remaining work would require six days to complete. Based on this timeline, I issued a cashier's check for the remaining balance. Following receipt of payment, the contractor performed two days of work. Work ceased on July 1, and no personnel have returned to the property since that date. The attached photographs document the current state of the property.

The last I was told is they will be out Monday, July 27. My items have been sitting on my deck for 3 weeks now. I would like to enjoy my new back yard. Brandon, the salesman, was great. The workers did a good job, and the job supervisor was nice. We had another estimate and we went with Rock and Block because we felt we were getting more for our money. I just want my job completed. I do not understand why it is taking so long to finish it.
