We eat here often. The menu is extensive. Something for everyone. I recommend you try it. Great service too! My only other recommendation is if you are ordering Sausage Gravy over biscuit you ask what kind of biscuit. Usually it is delicious. The gravy was but the biscuit was sweet with a pancake texture. A friend and I decided to have breakfast here and catch up. The food was ok, but the service was not. The waitress sighed whenever we ordered more coffee, and took a while to refill out cups. Service for our meal was slow, as well. It became apparent she wanted to turn the table, because at one point she asked if we could hurry it up, they were getting "slammed and we need the table". There was no one waiting to be seated at her section when she said this. She was annoyed with our requests for more coffee and made it known to us. enjoyed it in the past, older host and hostess not pleasant, over charged for item said I had to pay they would credit then repay correct amount, disappointed I had to wait for the credit 7-10 days but the new charge went right in. Food was okay, older waitress kind of slow and didnt ask if we needed anything i e refill water coffee etc. tried take out dinners half of the soup container empty, but they did give soup, dinner and dessert. Have been loyal customers since they opened. Good service, priced right and food was and i say was very good. (go there several times a month) Last 3 times were not good. Quality and freshness of the food has gone downhill. Soups taste old (they used to be good) salads have been sitting around you can tell they are not fresh and ingredients have changed. Had to throw dessert out when we got home. Main entree chicken parm is still very good but that is about it. I feel they have established the business and are now cutting corners every place they can. Sorry to say it really shows. We won't be going back for a long long time. What a shame.. read more

Pandemic birthday made wonderful by the Prime Rib dinner. Over the top wonderful. Would def go head to head with any steak house. Hubby's crabmeat melt is consistently yummy. Decided to try this place since I was looking for a new spot. The French toast that my grandson ordered looked good. The beef nachos were okay. I ordered French onion soup which was okay and fries which were also okay. I'll go back to try the breakfast. My fiance and I visited here this past Weekend. Although the diner looked fairly clean and the food was pretty good and hefty portions for the amount of money we paid, I musy say I was very disappointed in what I witnessed. We had a server her name was either Karen or Karly I'm not 100 percent but anyway Upon taking our order I noticed she asked us to repeat ourselves atleast 2 times and as I watched her write our orders down she seemed to be somewhat nodding out. She kept shaking her head to try to wake herself up. I asked her if she was ok and she said she was tired, at first I let it go, but then I watched her stand by the counter rocking back and forth basically falling asleep and after that I watched her gpto the bathroom and I didn't know she was still in there that long until I asked another server for a refill and saw her come back out, it was atleast 15 minutes. I was unable to let management know because I noticed that it was shift change because when we were about to leave I saw them counting the drawer and whoever it was was in a rush to leave so I wasn't able to say anything. Although I will return to eat I will NOT Allow that waitress to serve me again. I hate to leave this type of review but I needed to make this aware of, its not a good look. read more

We got an ad for Sage Diner in the mail this week that listed their entire menu. After looking it over, we decided to try it tonight. We were very pleasantly surprised. Busy but not packed for a Friday night. Good sized parking lot. Very clean inside. I had the crab cakes. They were very big, had a good amount of filler and shredded crab but were very tasty. They appeared to be homemade. My wife had the ribs and steak combo and said it was good. Total bill was $40. Attentive service. It's a diner folks, not a five star restaurant. I go here once in a while for breakfast but about once a week for dinner. The food is very good and the staff is friendly. They have a very large menu with lots of choices. You should have no problem finding something that everyone in the family would like. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. Don't forget to order dessert. I've had several different ones and they are all great. The Place is also spotless every time I go in. I continue to return because of the good food and the friendly staff. Came here in a large group and the waitress was fantastic! We had some complicated orders and people changing their minds which can be a challenge for a waitress but she handled it with patience and a lot of grace. What the food lacks in quality, albeit was good but certainly pre-fabricated, this charming little place makes up for in customer service with a smile!! 1 star for good food in the past. I will not be back again due to an extremely rude unprofessional hostess. I USED to get takeout here several times a week. This past Sunday we made a big order and it was not right. When I call back, and after you took my money for things I didn't get, and after I tipped the waitress who took the order, thinking she checked it, I do not want to hear, drive back and we'll fix it. No, you drive to me or offer to make it right another way. Not, what am I supposed to do, I have no driver. Well, I won't be driving to you, ever. This was the manager, supposedly, and the owners weren't available, according to her. Didn't get her name but she checked me out several times, brunette,, miserable,, never saw her smile, always half nice to customers while eye rolling rude and condescending to other staff members. Bad person, bad experience = bad place. Won't be back unless this is fixed and she is gone. read more

Yesterday was our first ever visit to Sage Dinner. The young man who was our waiter I think his name was Bruce was the best. Very attentive and did not forget a thing! The food was fantastic. I had breakfast and it was all cooked well, and you get a lot of food for 7.99. My husband had a Reuben and he loved it. They really cook all homemade and give you large portions. The cakes on the way out that I saw are beautiful. Excellent place to go. If you go to Acme that is right near , on the back of their receipt is a 15 percent off coupon!!! After this establishment has changed hands multiple times with multiple names it is blatantly obvious why they keep going out of business. Their menu is entirely too large, they need to focus on making "meals"'of quality not quantity. For a diner meatloaf should be a staple item mastered by anyone who runs that kitchen, this is the farthest thing to be true here. Absolutely horrible experience last week. DON'T EAT here. Food was very greasy and mostly fries. Had bugs in our soup & the hostess just said "sorry". Co workers arguing with each other & owners are so rude & didn't seem to care. Owner struggled to speak properly, we're dressed unprofessional & using rough language with employees when informed of bugs in food. Our waiter (young man)seemed scared, very shaky and clothes looked dirty. Could smell alcohol on waiter, just terrible. He got our order wrong two times. Usually have an older waitress & she is usually great but wasn't there. Don't even want to say how bad the bathroom was, so filthy. The hostess that rang us up was so slow and didn't know anything & so incompetent. Cold & unfriendly. The old hostess was more competent & professional. Atmosphere, food & service was completely unacceptable, used to be a decent place but is getting very bad, was a regular but no longer will be. Will definitely tell others to stay away. read more

We stumbled upon this place and really enjoyed our meals. The menu is huge, as you would expect from a diner, but there really is a huge variety of items they offer. Our waitress was very friendly and kept the coffee flowing. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap which came with fries, coleslaw, pickle and a cup of soup. I could only eat half of it that's how much food they give you. The wrap and chicken noodle soup were both hot and tasty. I couldn't believe how much food you get for $10. honestly, i just swear it's might just be me when i go out to eat because that's the luck i have, but I went and ordered the chicken ala vodka and when the really nice server brought it out, it was brown sauce. so i mentioned it wasn't vodka sauce and he just says "i'm sorry, i know, we don't have any vodka sauce left and the kitchen didn't communicate that to me until after they made it." ok, no problem i've been a server since 2009 i understand things happen and restaurants run out and don't tell servers, especially at the end of the night. what blew my mind is the manager literally didn't say one single thing about it even after i spoke to to her twice -once about to make my now chicken ceaser wrap to go, and then once more for my check- not one thing was mentioned about the food i was just brought. i'm still really kind of in shock over it. i don't expect anything for free or would never short a server, but an apology from a manager would have been nice. it's not always just on the server to handle situations like that and personally the way she actually hid from the situation makes me never want to go back. read more
