My very good friend and I were talking about how much we love this place so we stopped in for a quick bite and to visit our friend James, who works there! We had the most delicious breakfast! He had once, bacon, French toast and toast for less than $5.95I had the healthy choice turkey bacon, two eggs, tomatoes, and toast! $7.05! Everything was cooked to perfection! Five stars because we had great service when we were there, the food was also very good, and the prices were right on point. It is a small hometown diner and appeared to be popular with the locals. This wasn't my first time there - I was there years ago at least once or twice and I would definitely go again. The servers/bussers we encountered were really friendly and pleasant. The home fries, which are one of the most important components of a breakfast meal, were better than most other places. Our server recommended adding peppers and onions so I went with it and really enjoyed them.. My daughter's eggs weren't cooked through quite enough and our server had that fixed quickly. Found this place by accident, made a wrong turn...but a good "mistake". This place is old time diner feel. The breakfast was served up EXACTLY the way I asked. It was fresh and hot and they serve a good cup of coffee. Everyone was super friendly and made sure they checked in to see if you were satisfied. I am so glad I stumbled on this place. They serve breakfast and lunch and this year they are serving up Thanksgiving dinners as well. I will tell you to give it a try oh yeah did I mention my breakfast and coffee came to 5.00 ! Solid, if small, diner in a small strip mall off a small highway SW of Philadelphia. They have a salad bar option which is unique if the bar was the most basic of salad bars, but everything looked fresh and you could do all you can eat. The diner fare offered, including specials, were all standard and well priced. The plates given were more than plentiful if nothing stand out. Coffee refilled on the regular. With breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials, and of course the all day breakfast options, this is definitely a diner I would return to- if convenient. It was also clean and well attended. Didn't get an opportunity to eat here because the staff completely ignored me when I walked in. The reception desk was unmanned and there was no sign that said seat yourself or wait to be seated so I waited for about 5 minutes for any one of the many staff who looked at me but never acknowledged me, to say something. Even when I raised my hand to try to get someone's attention, nothing, at one point a server walked right in front of me, then turned her back to help someone else. I've never minded older people and being the youngest customer in the place didn't really bother me. I mention this more as a public service, this place is the lair of the blue hairs! No the bad first impression came from the waiting. If I wasn't so hungry I would've turned around and left. There was a bottleneck at the front counter as: three people were waiting to be seated, and four people were waiting to pay. Where was the counter girl? She was the waitress! While I'm sure this saves the company money, it's a bit inane. In fact when it came time for me to pay I had to track down someone to ring me up, VERY annoying. So why the three stars? They have outdoor dining and a very simple menu. Nothing standout, just a mediocre strip mall diner that works in a tight spot on a tight budget. I will admit my novel approach to dining as I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, expecting a side of chips and a pickle, as described on the menu. When only the chips came and we inquired about the pickle, the waitress seemed irked and said customers are expected to ask for it despite the menu clearly describing the plate as including one. I am not deducting any stars for that in particular, just paints a picture for the expectations one should have. The wait staff apparently will not probe for further desires. Some customers may actually prefer this autonomy in placing an order. Maybe next time I'll try breakfast. read more

The food is okay- Small town diner food. The service is inconsistent. When we go we usually order breakfast items like waffle, pancakes, the 352 special, and omelettes. The food isn't close to fresh and the Breakfast meat is really bad. We have been going to Towne & Country in Aston and Bittersweet in Media when we want to stay local. I will try again - but - for now 1 star and here is why: I walked in at about 7:30/35 PM on a Tuesday night. I wanted dinner and a quiet place to eat and take an 8 PM conference call. Was told "sit anywhere you want" - so I did (looked at the salad bar on the way in and it looked just fine). An elderly couple was leaving and a few more older folks were finishing up their meals. Server was seated at another table chatting with friends and promptly came over. I tolder her about my 8 PM call - she said, "Oh, we close at 8:00." So I replied, "Well, that won't work" and walked out. Who closes a diner at 8 PM? Don't people in the burbs eat dinner? Please consider staying open until 9 at keast. I wonder what they do on Friday and Saturday nights?? So if you want to eat dinner here - come early. Even if I had ordered - what if I had not finished by 8? Would she have kicked me out? Sheesh. I have been told this diner is very good and even better than Tom Jones (up the road) but i was forced out and guess where I wound up goin'? Tom Jones. The food is great. The servers are great. The management sucks. They are never there to do anything but get paid. When Sunday is your busiest day, you either a) show up to work to seat the customers! Or b) hire a hostess because the servers are too busy running around taking care of the customers to be able to seat and cash them out as well. The servers are always friendly and helpful. The food is good in the morning when the owners are here but when they leave the night crew just don't care. We ordered ate our salad and before we knew our soup and dinner where togather. The waitress did a wonderful job.She was very nice and helpful. The manger is a very sweet lady. I asked her if I could buy one of their plastic Pepsi cups.She said yes. She surprised me with a t-shirt bag with 4 of the plastic cups. She asked me did I mind if one the cups is a Coke cup? I told her no I did not mind.I thank her. She made my first visit wonderful. The breakfast staff, service and food is great. The women that works on Saturday nights is very unprofessional, rude and clearly has a drug problem. I've dealt with her a couple times.Everytime she waits on us there is a problem. After tonight I will NEVER go back to this diner, especially at night when she is there. We waited over 40 minites for our food. (it wasnt busy at all). After it finally came the food was awful and she of course forgot part of my order. When I asked her about it she was extremely rude and said something rude VERY loud and embarrased my son. She is unstable and should not be working with the public. I got the bacon cheeseburger lunch special that came with choice of fries, chips or mashed potatos and a choice of one of the two soups of the day. The chicken rice soup was decent, homemade, but a bit too salty for my taste. The burger and fries were great. My dining partner had the cheesesteak that came with fries and the happily upgraded his cheesesteak to a pizza steak. With two coffees our total bill came to $22.00. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. If you want a decent amount of food for a good price and you aren't fussy about atmosphere, try this place. read more

When it comes to diner food, this place is pretty classic. Breakfast all day is a nice bonus, and the omelet and home fries I had we're tasty. My hubby had chicken and dumplings and liked it. Food was okay, service was terrible. The manager was rude and refused to make a simple substitution. I ordered the chicken finger dinner, which comes with fries and onion rings. I asked if I could get mozzarella sticks instead of onion rings, but she curtly said, "No." I thought she was just teasing me at first, but nope. When I said they didn't have a problem with it last time I was here, she began grilling me on who it was, what she looked like, what her hair color was. I didn't remember, but then she said she'd make sure they all knew from now on. By this point she'd embarrassed me by making a scene and being generally unaccommodating and standoffish. She eventually did bring mozzarella sticks, so I'm not sure why she needed to cause such a fuss in the first place. There are polite ways to deny a request. My entire family came for breakfast last weekend and, although small and we had to have two booths, the food was good and the waitress was friendly. While I give this diner a 3 star rating for the salad bar and the liver & onions senior special I had, along with the friendly atmosphere, ultimately my spirit was disturbed. The waiter seemingly to be a person of good cheer and humor, had no problem openly expressing his views and delight for having Donald Trump as the incoming president. The waiter even quoted that Mexicans ARE rapists and bring drugs into the country, along with other nonfactual comments that were in the least misguided. While people are entitled to their own opinions, I felt it very disturbing and inappropriate to have to listen to his open support of someone that I personally view as an obvious racist and bigot, among having many other shameful characteristics. Unfortunately, the waiter was not sensitive or aware of the possible offensiveness of his openly spoken views that could be painful and insulting to more than half of the country, especially African Americans. Also, as an advocate for the rights of the LBGTQ community, I am particularly disheartened by the gentlemen's naïve perspective. In spite of my anguish, I still left him a tip, not as much as I initially intended however. I actually feel sorry for him more than anything, because I believe he represents many people and their views that are fooled by a fool's rhetoric and empty promises (my opinion). Nevertheless, for now I do not plan to go back, because I feel as though his views are shared by the majority of the population in the area and possibly the owner since he was so free and vocal with his very controversial views. And for that I'm sorry and very disappointed because it was my husband's and my first visit.
