Arrived 9/21/17 @ 1930 hours. Stood inside door for five minutes without acknowledgement. Waitress finally addressed us and stated they would not be seating anyone for at least 45 minutes. No explanation, no reservations issue and we were the only ones waiting. There were about 25 people eating, mostly done. As we left, waitress had a stupid smirk on her face. Stopped in Richfield for the evening and found this listed with great reviews. The place can be a little hard to find, it is out near the airport in what seems to be an industrial building. Don't let he outside appearance fool you, the inside is very cozy and comfortable. Staff was great in reccommending items on the menu and the food was excellent. I have eaten here many times, but never had a chance to write a review. If you are from out of town you might not recognize this place as a restaurant. Drive into the parking area and then you see suddenly that it is. It's not huge, but the interior is cozy and pleasant. My experience with the waiters and waitresses is that they are attentive and do a good job in catering to my needs. The menu is full of interesting choices involving lots of meats and tons of flavor. The prices might be a little steep. Ok maybe very steep for some, but you definitely get what you pay for. Clark is a real highly trained chef who does magic in the kitchen. Try the soup. It is always amazing. My favorite it the prime rib soup. I have ordered just about everything on the menu and it is all super deliciousness and full of flavor. Our favorites include the prime rib (the most flavorful you will ever have), chicken cordon bleu, sirloin tips, and killer ribs. The salmon is great, and the beer-battered shrimp are wonderful. There is something for everyone, and don't forget the homemade fresh rolls, and my personal favorite is the homemade bleu cheese dressing. Your meal will come with some delicious carrots as your veggie, and handcut fries, baked potato, or mashed with your choice of brown or white gravy. I almost always end up taking half home for lunch the next day. Don't be afraid to splurge a little and treat yourself to some good food. This is NOT diner food! Sagebrush Grill Monroe UT The Saga From the interior, this looks like the kind of place someone would want to eat, and on our first visit to this restaurant we had thought it was somewhere we would indeed want to visit on more than one occasion. My love ordered a decent salad and I had a decent burger on our first trip here. This made the decision to go a second time an easy one. We were completely unaware of the horrendous mistake this would turn out to be. We arrived at this restaurant at about 5:30. There was some light business. We sat down to order our meal. My love decided to try the pulled pork sandwich and I tried the prime rib sandwich. Before which we had ordered an onion ring appetizer. We got through our onion rings which were good enough, and our main courses had arrived a short time later. So far so good, but this is the point where things started their rapid decline. My love was somewhat dissapointed with her order, it was served open faced with so much pork that the bottom half of the sandwich was not visible. The barbeque sauce was a little too sweet and not enough of the sauce to cover the whole sandwich. So, the sandwich was not to her taste, not exactly bad but just not the pork sandwich she was hoping for. But this should be no problem, we would just call over a server and get an item switch. We politely told the server that this sandwich, while it might be great for someone else, was not to my love's taste. She advised us that she would ask the owner about a substitution. The rapid decline took a breakneck pace as the owner stormed out with a chip on his shoulder as though it had been a personal attack that we did not like his food. He asked us what was the problem with the sandwich, and we had stated the truth that it was just not to her taste and we were hoping to substitute for the reasonably good salad that she had ordered on our first visit. "Are you sure you will eat the salad?" was actually something this man asked. He begrudgingly said he would make the salad as if we were doing him a monumental injustice. This "Are you sure you will eat the salad?" sat rolling around in my head a bit and I started to get a touch upset. That is a really nasty comment. I have never had such a bad attitude from a service person let alone an OWNER. I was also finding that I didn't really care for my sandwich either, it was merely edible. My love and I came to the conclusion that it would better if we just left. If it was really this huge issue to the man then he must not really want our business. We called over the server and let her know that we would like to pay whatever we owed and leave and she was handed our debit card. The owner stormed back out of the kitchen with his bad attitude very much intact and ready for a second onslaught. This time he said, with tone of an angry child that he would pay for our meals. We told him that we had already given our debit card to the server. He ran back to the kitchen brought out the debit card, threw it down on the table and said "Next time if you're looking for a free meal, go somewhere else". Which makes no logical sense since we were had just tried to pay for the meal despite not being pleased. I made a rare public outburst and told the man what I thought of him and let the customers know the man was being irrational as we left the restaurant. The man actually followed behind hoping to start some kind of altercation. I left my keys in the restaurant and had to go back for them. He said something to the effect of I would scare the employees or some such, I forget the exact quote but it was obvious he was trying to provoke me. He also called me a "tough guy" in a mocking tone. My love was in tears. What kind of a person would yell at their customers? It was all very confusing angering and depressing. Since we were still out to eat and wanted somewhere to calm down we headed to Frontier Village in Richfield where we were met with warmth and friendly employees. Since we were still fuming and upset from our recent experience we discussed it with the servers and the owners. They were horrified to hear our tale and had known this owner from when he had apparently worked there and was quick to temper and not well liked. And on behalf of the restaurant industry and just kindness of heart, Brett, the owner of the Frontier Village offered a free BBQ pork sandwich to my love with no expectation that she like it "or else". I really struggle with the fact that yelp is filtering all the reviews for this restaurant. They have 18 pretty decent reviews and are only showing 2 reviews that are 1 star. When my wife and I think of someplace to go that is nice there are only a couple we would consider and Sagebrush is one of them. The people in the area all know the Sagebrush as a great place. I hope I can write the wrong that yelp is giving this business. I have never had bad service or bad food at the Sagebrush, the last time I was there the credit card machine was down. They said no problem we will call you tomorrow when it is working and take care of the bill. They handled it very well! I had their salmon fish n chips they were out of this world. Update Jan 14 The Sage Brush Grill moved to Richfield a while back and I finally got to go. I have to say the move was a big improvement. The new building looks really nice and feels great inside. I had their ribs and they were perfect. One of the few places in Richfield you can get a good bottle of wine. =============================================================== I have been to the Sage Brush four times now. Every time it was awesome. Frankly its the best food in Sevier Valley. For some reason Yelp is filtering the good reviews and only showing the few crappy ones. If you want a really good meal in Sevier Valley go to the Sage Brush. I have heard the chef/owner can be a character but never met him. I am really conflicted about this review....I really want to give this place 3.5 stars. So I decided to round up instead of rounding down. Let me explain why- the chef VERY OBVIOUSLY takes great pride in the food he puts out. Everything was homemade, even the buns for the sandwiches. That is extremely rare to find, which is why I believe 4 stars is more fitting than 3. I stopped in for lunch today and after reading the yelp reviews I was really excited about this place! I walked in and boom an amazing aroma hits you in the face and envelopes your senses! We were a bit worried because we were the only ones in the restaurant but decided to eat anyways. Our waitress was OK. She was friendly....almost a forced friendly. I asked for the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich is supposed to come with fries, but I do not eat fries. I asked if I could sub it out for a salad or veggies....anything that wasn't deep fried that I could eat. She told me she couldnt sub anything and if I wanted a side salad it would be $6.....the chicken sandwich was already 10$! Adding $6 just for a small salad is a bit outrageous- $16 a person not including drinks- that in my opinion is dinner prices. After realizing she wasn't going to work with me I added the salad. Now for the food: Chicken sandwich: The bread to meat ratio was way off. The bun was big and thick and the chicken breast was fairly small. The cheese was very good. The southwest type sauce they had on there, although tasty, there was just way to much of it. House salad: The 6$ salad was just your typical house salad. The veggies and greens were all very fresh and crisp. Pulled pork sandwich: my co-diner ordered the pulled pork sandwich (now mind you he is not a picky eater and I have never seen him complain). He said that there was WAY too much sauce (you could tell by looking at it) and the bun was too thick and filled him up too fast. The fries were very good and not only hand cut but but also well seasoned! Overall this place is on the pricier side. But EVERYTHING is homemade. I think we might have better luck with dinner. We have eaten there a few times and have never been disappointed. My husband had the Crab Alfredo the first time we visited. He liked it so well that he told the chef, who happens to also be the owner, it was the best meal he'd had in years. We have also tried the Salmon Fish & Chips, Prime Rib (my favorite), and the Baby Back Ribs. The Colossal Fried Shrimp are batter-dipped and deep fried to perfection. Salads are crisp, fresh mixed greens. All of the dressings and sauces are made in-house. Definitely would recommend you stop there! read more

Certainly can't complain! I went with my two small children. They had corn dog bites and I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes and prime rib soup. Everything was delicious! I wouldn't have changed anything. The place was scarce on decorations but it was clean and tidy and the staff was overly nice about accommodating my two kids. They brought them crayons when they looked bored and were very attentive to when we were through with our meal. I would go back but I doubt I'll pass through again. read more

What a great find! While on a day trip, my husband and I stopped here for dinner. He had the ribeye and I had the Crab Alfredo. Both were excellent; but the real treat turned out to be the portobello mushtooms. I could have just had those and been completely satisfied. Go here only if you want one of the best steak dinners you'll ever eat. Actually, I had salmon, and it was definitely the best salmon dinner I've ever eaten! My wife and I met people and arrived just before 5PM opening. The restaurant is hard to like outside, but clean and attractive inside. We were seated by a cordial person and left for a short time to look the menu over. The menu is ambitious for the area, and the prices high, so we expected a great meal. Several years ago the restaurant moved from another location. That location in a small town down the road was one of those gems you find in out-of-the-way places, and in several occasions dining there we always had an exceptional meal. Soon after they moved we visited for lunch and were disappointed, so hadn't been back for years. With people coming into town we decided to give it another try. My wife and sister ordered the half rack of ribs, mashed potato with white gravy, and the soup. The soup was a chicken parmesan, and both enjoyed it. The rack was cooked perfectly, very tender, but there was a lack of sauce. The mashed potatoes were cool and the gravy thick and uninspiring. The carrots served as a side were cool as well, and just basic boiled/steamed (?) carrots. I ordered the bacon wrapped 12 ounce filet mignon, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, with a salad. The salad was a nice mix of different lettuces, shredded carrot and croutons. The ranch dressing tasted bottled, and a poor variety. The steak was ordered medium rare and arrived medium well. I had the nagging suspicion that the steak was warmed from the previous day as it wasn't hot even though charred on the outside. The potatoes were cool, as were the carrots. The gravy was good, much better than the white gravy (I tasted both). Again the carrots were simply boiled or steamed, and served with some large chunks of white onion, also cool. At thirty-five dollars for the fillet mignon the pricing was fair for the quality and quantity of ingredients that filled the plate, but the execution was terrible. The tender, high quality steak was over done and seemed to be left over from the previous day. The carrots weren't seasoned in any discernible way. The potatoes were too cool to be served. A meal where the highlight was the salad (sans dressing) and the brown gravy. This is one of those rare instances that I can't fault the wait staff, as the plate looked attractive as it arrived. Came here two years ago and what a disappointment compared to the last time we came over. We stopped by at 7:40 PM, waited 5 minutes until someone acknowledged us. Keep in mind that they close at 9. The server than informed us that they were no longer seating even though it looked like some people just got in because they still didn't have drinks. My original review was 5 stars but after two years unfortunately will have to give them a 1 star for service. Which is unfortunate because the food was good. We were stopping through town and came here for dinner because of the other yelp reviews. There were 2 small downfalls: 1. There is an extensive lunch menu with lots of delicious sounding and affordable meals, but these are not available for dinner, and dinner items are a little pricier. 2. Pretty terrible elevator music playing. Other than that the food wAs delicious and included a fresh salad with real greens, not just iceberg. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and there was a generous portion of my country fried steak. The country fried steak was not a real steak and actually hamburger meet, but it was super tasty so I didn't mind. Really friendly staff! read more

The balsamic dressing behaving fresh and no bagged salad here. Carrots cut by hand with care. A nice glass of Cabernet served in the proper stemware. My seven happy neighbors across the way at the big wooden table, talking about their ranch heifers, each gentlemen rancher crowned with a Cowboy hat or camouflage baseball cap and dressed in their well worn plaid Carhart shirts. I hate giving bad review to places that are not major chains but I was really disappointed. I skipped diner at Texas road house because I wanted to try something new and I deeply regret it. I went for dinner and many thing really bugged me. 1. For a place in the middle of Utah the price are really high. I am from Los Angeles and can find cheaper food in Beverly Hills. $22 for Pasta Alfredo is just too much 2. The taste of the Pasta Alfredo was non existent. The Sauce tasted watered down and had no taste whatsoever. The chicken was burned in some spots and tasted bitter. Nothing I would ever try again 3. Bread rolls were so delicious but limited to one per person. What the heck? If you wanna act like a fancy dinner place than at least offer what they offer. I went for dinner and since most of the reviews are so good here I think lunch the the time to go. I was so upset I couldn't have a nice burger. After all the food is traditional American according to Yelp. How can they not offer a good burger? Never had that in the US I would give one star but the waitress was really nice.
