Our server, Volen? (not sure of spelling) was a blessing. I asked for the mango vinaigrette on my salad, which she brought. But she also brought some awesome ranch dressing that she thought I might like. It was so good I ended up skipped the vinaigrette The salad was small but nicely done, with cucumber, carrots, onions and croutons over a mixed lettuce. We had the prime rib, filet medallions topped with blue crab and chicken fried steak. It was all delicious, but we weren't fond of the carrots. I imagine most of the food is just as delicious and I wished I had saved room for dessert. The options sounded very upscale. Shout out to our awesome server, she was hustling the whole time we were there. We arrived an hour before they closed, and she never rushed us. In need of gas and hungry, we stopped in Richfield. At first sight, all you see, is fast-food. Don't fall for it! Yelp guided us to this spot, which was extremely difficult to find at night. There was no sign off the main road and it's situated behind a business on a non lighted street. If you pass Walmart, you've gone too far. We were greeted upon entering and I was glad to see that it was a casual atmosphere. We ordered the battered chicken and half rack of ribs. The meals come with soup or salad, a roll, and fries or mashed potatoes. The chicken was delicious. It comes with four large juicy pieces of chicken breast. The ribs were good as well. Everything from the roll to the salad and the meal was fresh. Total price $41.00. The service was just ok. The one thing I found weird, an almost empty large bottle of hand sanitizer was used as hand soap in the restroom. What a GEM! On a last minute search, we found Sagebrush and when we drove in, we were not sure if it was still a thriving business. Then we entered the parking lot, and we thought it was a strip club! We have been on the road from Vermont to SoCal for the last 5 nights and really did not expect much. Well, surprise, surprise! We were greeted with a warm welcome and lucky enough to be seated across from the kitchen. We met Clark. Terrific conversation about his cooking background and gave us a sample of a new pasta he was creating. We were not disappointed. Of course we came in for the prime rib. Now, being from SoCal and always dining at Lawry's Beverly Hills and Wolfgang Puck's CUT restaurant, the prime rib was delicious. It was tender, refined seasoning and nicely balanced. It really was a terrific meal. So, we learned our lesson tonight: Just because it is a small town, we should never disregard there are special places worth driving (or stopping) for. And Sagebrush, Clark, and our server, made our dinner very special. read more

This place is LEGIT and does the basics better than most places in big cities. The chef in the kitchen not only has passion but the skills to back up his cooking. When the initial glass of water is properly big and the beer is served in a frosty glass, you know you're in for a treat. The soup was so hearty it could have been a meal in itself. The ingredients were fresh and the balance of seasoning and acidity was spot on. We were lucky enough to be able to order the prime rib. Good seasoning appears to be the theme at this restaurant, because the rub on the crust was probably the best I've had. And this includes all the usual places in LA and Vegas! The baked potato was also made perfectly fluffy with real seasoned butter. When so many steakhouses don't even get the basics right, Sagebrush Grill showed us how it's supposed to be done. I thoroughly enjoyed our experience from the extremely attentive server to the chef who struck a conversation from the kitchen to our table. My boyfriend and I were traveling from fish lake for a day of fun on my birthday and he found the sagebrush grill on google. The pictures on the website looked so delicious so we decided we would give it a try. Upon entering the doors, the lighting and ambience was extremely inviting. We were then greeted by the host Eric, with the most genuine smile and friendly demeanor. He took us to our table and was delightfully polite. Our waitress Shastell came with drinks and a bubbly personality to share. She was the most genuine and kind server we have ever had and provided the best service. This being our first time at the restaurant, she recommended the Filet Medallions with garlic butter crab that sounded mouthwatering from the beginning and I just had to try it. It was incredible. Hands down the best dish I have ever been served and to top it all off the service was outstanding. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars! I highly recommend this place to everyone that can make it. We dined at Sagebrush during our stay in Richfield a couple weeks ago. I liked how unassuming the property is from the outside only to be surprised by how nice it is inside. This seemed like a well liked restaurant in the area with a lot of local clientele. Service awesome. Can't recall our server's name, unfortunately but she made us feel so welcome and took care of us like we were locals. Food wise, we were not too impressed. We had the king-sized prime rib and the night's special-NY strip steak with carrots and mashed potatoes for sides. Both the potatoes and carrots were delicious but the prime rib didn't have much taste. It definitely needed the au jus that came with it. The strip steak was chewy and didn't have the beef taste that you would expect and it had an overly smoky smell. They're pretty pricey for what you get. We're giving them a 5* for service and 3* for the food. read more

Anniversary disappointment. Me and my wife have been going to the Sagebrush Grill since it opened. It's been our go-to for a nice, quiet evening. Our Anniversary is our main tradition. I look forward to it because I get to the order The Trump, my favorite over-indulgence. This past Saturday was our 9th Anniversary, ans per usual we went to our favorite spot. I called to make a reservation but received a recording that it was first come, first served. How odd. We walked in to what looked like a half empty restaurant at 7:45pm. We were actually excited because normally we have to wait to get in. We were greeted at the door by the busboy carrying dishes. He looked at us both in passing and simply said, "Uh, we're not serving anymore people tonight." I was confused. "At 745, you're not serving anymore?" "That's right. You'll have to leave." So we did. We have been going to the Sagebrush for YEARS-ever since they were in their tiny hole in the wall spot in Monroe, and have recommended it to countless family and friends, but never again. Last week, we went and arrived an hour after they opened for the evening on a Saturday night. It was busy, and there were several people waiting. Two other couples told us that they had been there for an hour waiting, and they had arrived just minutes after they opened. We understand that things get busy and were fine to wait for a while if needed. The other groups and the two couple were seated, and then a server came up to our group and instead of taking our names for the list, she very rudely informed us that they were not taking any names to seat anyone and that it would be at LEAST an hour before they would even consider it-and then just walked off. We left and went to Steve's Steakhouse, where we were treated much better and none of us will ever go back to Sagebrush again and we will not recommend it after that experience. It's a shame, because their food is excellent and we have loved going but there is no excuse to treat people that way. They could have said that they were overwhelmed, or short staffed, and asked us if we had errands to run and could we come back in an hour. That we would have understood, but to be treated as if they could not care less whether we got served or went somewhere else is a dealbreaker for us. Truly a shame! read more

The place was pretty empty, got there early for our Son's 18 " birthday, we were seated right away, the place had an upscale appearance, with quality table ware. The waiter was told in secret that it was a special occasion for my son. We didn't want a song or free desert, we were just hoping he'd wish our son who, had a rough time during COVID shutdown that he couldn't graduate from his school in California, couldn't take any exams for GED or a deploma, he's also has to deal with a genetic medical condition that puts him in and out of the hospital for weeks, he's been very depressed and was giving up on life. We wanted to treat him to something special. We waited about 30 minutes for our order as the place was filling up, they messed up my son's order and my husbands, the waiter looked at his notes after arguing with my son.. then took the plates back to the kitchen and brought the same plates back out served to another table. No apologies to us. Not any of us are the Karen type, we hate conflict and we are known to be a very kind family, I often get compliments on how polite and respectful my son is my husband and I are public servants ourselves and understanding to others who may be going through a tough time. After waiting another 15 minutes. We noticed others who have arrived 30 minutes after us were receiving their dinners, we did get served our dinner salads but that was long gone. We asked the waiter if maybe our order was lost as we noticed others getting served before us. He went to check and the manager or supervisor came out from the kitchen area with a defensive attitude. We were respectful to him and my husband quietly explained the situation, we didn't want to make assumptions, but we explained that the order served to us was not our correct order and obviously was for another table, but we haven't received our order yet and it's been nearly an hour and we we're practically the only ones there when we arrived, coming in early. About 10 minutes more went by and that mgr/supervisor person or he may have been the cook brought out our order, No apologies and even after telling him it was a special occasion for our son's birthday, not one time did anyone wish him a happy birthday, he only asked if this was the correct order this time. My son asked for another soda as all our glasses were empty even the water and chewed ice. He said he'd tell the waiter. The waiter was noted being rude to other customers too, as one couple who were being "Karens" with the waiter and the mgr/supervisor person causing a loud scene and left abruptly . Maybe the staff weren't having a good day or something. But the service was horrible even though the food once it finally was served was perfect, and very delicious and we never got our waters and sodas refilled. My husband wrote a google review. And the response from the person assigned to respond, made on apologies and accused our family of being people who just like to complain and to expect a birthday song from the staff, Or special treatment was not what they do. We were surprised by the Google response and swore to never go there again. We noticed a few other ugly responses to other google reviewers who had similar experiences. I'm sure not every patron to that place has had reason to complain and very wonderful experiences there, maybe it was just a bad day and the respondent was offended and rudely defensive about our experience there or just a miserable person incapable of humility and kindness. read more

Richfield, Utah! On our way to the Grand canyon! Road trip! Thank goodness the Sagebrush Grill was open and not only was the prime rib dinner with all the fixins' delicious they served alcohol!! Extremely difficult to find restaurants in Utah that offer more than a beer for adult beverages. (Note to self!) After driving almost 6 hours without a restaurant in site, (other than one Subway shop) the Sagebrush Grill was a site for sore eyes for hungry and thirsty humans (and foodies) . Welcoming staff and gracious owner Clark! Their prime rib dinners were pricey but heck you are in the middle of nowhere (sorry) so we were thankful to fill our bellies on a great cut of prime rib with a monster baked potato with ALL the trimmings!! Also included were delicious grilled veggies, au jus and a delicious horseradish sauce. So great! The restaurant's owner considers the Sagebrush Grill an Upscale American fare with a Southwest twist. Authentic BBQ, Seafood, Chicken dishes and as I said great Steaks! The menu is vast with many great burger dishes, salads, grilled veggies and what they call 'fall off the bone BBQ ribs'! What a surprise from The Richfield I lived near in the early 1970s! Incredible dinner, service was good. But the steaks OMG the flavor on the outside of our ribeye steaks was amazing and it was melt in your mouth tender super quality meat. What a find in a little town on the way to Colorado! Outstanding food and service!! I had grilled salmon and my husband had prime rib and both were top-notch. Overall an excellent place for dinner. The staff were very friendly and eager to please no matter the request. During our visit the host suggested we try a clam chowder which was new to the menu rather than their signature "Prime Rib" soup and the chowder was absolutely delicious. Called in for carry-out....their website had no listed prices and was designed poorly so I came to Yelp to find a menu.....well the menu and menu images on Yelp are not up-to-date. Ribeye was $40 not $30 and Chicken Alfredo was $26 not $18....was a bit shell shocked when we picked up the food and it was $20 more than expected. Paid over $80 for 2 entrees.
