Very unassuming place--no frills here except great food, fast and friendly service, and excellent prices. Every dish was made fresh and delivered fast. Strongly recommend the guacamole and street tacos, but we had tostadas that were also simple with ample portions. This place was amazing! Not much ambiance but the guys there were great. Attentive, helpful, and knew their menu. We asked for a recommendation and he did not disappoint. We got a pork dish made in house and it was the most flavorful, tender pork I have eaten out. It was incredible. They were accommodating and so cheerful. We were on our way to St George but it was time for food fuel. I'm one that loves some tasty Mexican food. I'm not the critical one who compares one vs your what you think is the only way to cook Mexican dishes. Each chef has their own identity. What I'm concerned with is: Is it tasty, is service good, how are their sauces. To me, the sauce is the thing. The red sauce was spot on. A touch of spice with great flavor. The burrito was massive. Filled with refried beans, rice, smothered in cheese and delectable red sauce. I filled mine with the Al Pastor. My eating partner got three street tacos. A taco has onions and cilantro on a nice corn tortilla. She enjoyed them. You are greeted with crispy tasty chips and salsa. This salsa is mild and tasty. Not spicy at all but most people don't tolerate spice. Go here! read more

Neon sign said "ICE COLD BEER" & it was a hot day so we stopped in for dinner & a cold one. The beer was slightly chilled, just above room temperature, Horrible! The fajitas were bad. I ordered chicken, but the rice tasted like shrimp & the chicken was very bland. The refried beans were as runny as thin gravy, Gross! Flies were everywhere & the tables were dirty, Nasty! Wow! La Gringa was delicious. A friend from Richfield recommended it and we're happy we listened. The mole enchiladas rocked, not boring with a little sweet & spicy flavor, shrimp taco was juicy and fat! We will definitely come back next time we're in town. Sounded good due to some of the reviews and were encouraged that it was a small, family run business. Really wanted to like it and offer a strong rating, but we cannot. Food: ordered burritos, tacos and enchiladas...all below average, soggy, low on flavor Salsas and chips: all remarkably below average - nothing compelling or tasty about them Value: very expensive for what we ordered...and extra charges for salsa, use of a credit card, and overall expensive Service: friendly but chaotic COVID safe: in the midst of a COVID/Omicron outbreak, no one was wearing masks, no signs were posted reminding folks to wear masks, and no attention was paid to keeping staff or patrons safe. Overal meh... overpriced for underwhelming food. Not to mention the piece of wire I found inside my burrito. I realize this wire could have come from anywhere along the chain from the cow being slaughtered to butchered to delivery and ultimate preparation in this place... needless to say I couldn't eat any more afterward. But even before the wire, it was not great. The asada was largely bland, the complementary salsa was not very flavorful either. Wouldn't go back again. I'm not from here so I can't point any of y'all to a better choice in Richfield. Sorry! This was my second choice after arriving at my first choice was closed to evening hours only. We were passing through town while on vacation, and found this casual, family owned gem on our overnight stay. The Mexican food really hit the spot, and we know our mexican food! I had the Shrimp Al mojo de Ajo, which was a yummy garlic shrimp, served with beans and rice. Service was quick; we were in and out in no time. I got the mole, definitely made in restaurant and was excellent. My wife loved her meal and mango margarita- with actual alcohol- not always the case in some places and in Utah. Eat there for the second time ordered burritos, asked the owner for a little extra green sauce as the burrito was getting dry. When I receive the check I noticed a charge that didn't belong on the check! Asked her what $1.50 charge for? she replied that's for your salsa. I said why didn't you tell me there was a $1.50 charge when I asked for a little more salsa? her response as well it's on the menu! I stated do you think everybody's going to scan the complete menu and memorize it like you have. I also asked her for two boxes to take some of the food home because we hadn't finished our meal and I had to ask her for plastic bag and for a copy of my receipt that I paid with my CC. I will never be going back to this restaurant ever again. as I was leaving my son who's 33, said I overheard the conversation she has a bad attitude and she was rude! read more

Very much a random stop for us between Moab and Zion. Clear that it is a family run business and they were slammed, but did their best to take care of us. Great food. Probably one of our best Mexican food meals. Got the special - enchiladas poblanos, and will aspire to make that sauce at home. Only complaint was no free chips and salsa. The service in this little place is delightful. After driving all over town, everything was closed, but La Gringa's was open and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. We scrubbed the plates and went to bed with full bellies after thinking we would have to eat fast food because most places in town closed early. The red sauce was good and the rice fluffy. This cute little quaint place feels like you're stepping into a little part of Mexico. First is smells delicious, and the service was great. Authentic food and people. We had 5 different plates, and each was great. I would eat them all again. Street tacos were good, the breakfast burrito with chorizo was good as well. I'm really sitting at 2.5 stars since everything about this place was completely average. I bumped it up to 3 because it's obviously a family-run establishment, and I'd prefer to err in favor of the little guy. The service was really bad. There is no obvious check in area when you get there, so I stood around awkwardly trying not to make eye contact with the people eating near by. I kept inching my way forward until someone from the kitchen saw me. I had to get up in the middle of my meal to find the waiter and ask for a refill on my drink. Then I just stood there while he filled it at the soda fountain that was right out in the open. It was like they were originally a counter service place that decided to switch to table service at the last minute. The food was totally average with typical fluffy rice and creamy beans (which is how I like them, so no complaints there). I got the Monday special, a pork tamale and chili relleno. The tamale was fine. The masa was soft and there was plenty of filling. A bland green sauce kept it from being dry. The relleno was disappointing. It was a soggy, oily mess that I just couldn't get through. I wouldn't come here again unless I was stuck in Richfield for a long time and desperate for any quality of Mexican food. It was about a year ago that I eat here. I don't recall the dish I ordered but it was a shrimp dish and I do recall it being very good. It is a small dinner with inside and outside seating. I was with 3 others and I do also recall them enjoying their meals. I am not big on Mexican restaurants only because I can't handle hot food but this place was good for me. By "taqueria la gringa" they really do be serving white people food. Just lacking in authentic flavor. Service was good although there was a 10yr old that took our order. For some reason they have a N/A margarita on the menu. Not really sure why or who orders a non alcoholic margarita but it is a weirdly unalcoholic state. Expensive for below average food. Passing through on a road trip to CO with the hubby and dog. I wanted to try this place out but wasn't sure they were dog friendly. They let us sit out on the patio, no problem. The service was super friendly. I was really surprised at the quality and authenticity of the food. Their verde sauce is awesome! I had the chicken enchiladas, green. Hubby had a variety plate of street tacos. Barbacoa and Al pastor were his faves. If you are passing through or live in Richfield you definitely need to try this place out! read more

Food wise, this place was excellent. Probably some of the best street tacos I've found around. Our group had other items that were really good. I had to bring it down a star because there are hit or miss hours it seems like and they don't tell you they will be closed. And they need to hire more help. So don't go if you're in a rush. I love road trips and thanks to yelp I don't have to suffer through greasy roadside food. On our way to Moab, we had to leave much later than we wanted to and after driving through pretty sparsely populated country I started getting nervous that we wouldn't find anywhere to stop. Yelped Richfield and ended up here. I had the sopes with asada and my husband had the Campeche tacos with a side of refried beans. The sopes were huge and tasty. They were a little on the bland side, green salsa that came with them was good, just not enough. I should have asked for some spicy salsa. My husband thought his tacos were the real deal and he enjoyed them. Service was very friendly. Not a bad place to stop. read more

Staff was friendly, but seating was not friendly if you had more than 4. I was squeezed in between our 2 teenage daughters on one side of the booth, while my husband & son sat opposite. We were not offered another seating suggestion and I didn't want to complain... so it is what it is. Now, food was delicious! I had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce (when it arrived it had green sauce, I ate it anyway). Yummy! The homemade guac is amazing!! My husband had fajitas... delicious as well. Our daughter's shared the beef burrito with green sauce... plenty of food! Then our son ordered some kind of toasted sandwich, which he devoured.
