My family and I had a nice time at during our visit to Sahara Sams. We got what we expected from this indoor water park. Place wasn't too packed when we went and we still had a hard time finding seating. Unfortunately, the outdoor facilities and indoor Tim-Buk-Tu attraction were closed during our visit. I decided to visit this place after I was doing a research about an indoor park close to me with all the thunderstorms that have been happening around the city I opted for this park. We got there around 1pm and since the sun was out I rented an outdoor cabana which brings 4 water bottle for free and a service lady which was very courteous. we were 4 adults and one child and the service was great. we were very close to the wave pool which I liked the most from the rest of the pool. the life savers makes an outstanding job watching all the kids and they have lots of restrictions from what you can do or can't do. my friends tried some of the sliders a few times, my boyfriend tried the surfing pool which was really cool and we all tried the lazy river as well. they have restroms in the outside which is less crowded than the inside ones. we didnt rent no locker since we had the cabana and most of the people who were sitting in the outside area seems like they didnt as well. food was great and affordable. I got to drink a daiquiri for $8 dollars and at first I thought it didn't have no alcohol since it didn't taste like it had some. I believe that they don't put too much alcohol in the other drinks as well since they know that most people come here driving. etc. we spent the rest of the day going from one pool to the other and we all loved even my child was so happy. we didn't try the arcade room cause the AC was so high and it felt chill in the inside DOWNSIDES: they are very restrictive with the food. I got it tickets in here are not as expensive as other parks and you want people to invest in the food but ya'll have to put in mind that not all kids eat chickens and pizza and second my friend have a very restrictive diet from her nutritionist. she doesn't eat salad because everything she eats she have to buy it from the meal plan. they didn't let her bring her food in and she have to opt for eating a salad. plus the guy that was checking the bags told her that he was gonna let him bring the water bottle. really? this really pissed me off. - another downside. all the sliders are in the indoor side and the indoor side had so much Clorox inside that our eyes were itching and red. aside from these downsides I feel like I possibly come back to this place just because my child enjoyed it. read more

I have been here twice. Both times were for birthday parties, one I was attending the other one for my grandson. All water parks smell of chlorine, so this is to be expected. No real complaints except the parking! People are so rude and I would suggest they have workers helping in the parking lot as people just park and drive like crazy in there. Yes, food prices are crazy, but in most parks they are so it is to be expected. Kids had fun in the water park and playing games. The game room is similar to Chuck e Cheese and everyone gets to be a winner and take home a prize which the kids enjoy. The outside pool is great, cabanas are way to expensive for normal folk. But its always good to splurge once in awhile. It is enjoyable as long as it is not overcrowded. :) read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. It's overpriced, a very small facility with not much to do, overcrowded (we could not walk anywhere without standing on a line or wading through people). You can't bring in food, so be prepared to pay for it. It's not cheap. If you are looking for an indoor waterpark, go somewhere else. It's not worth the terrible experience. It's disgusting and not cleaned up at all. We arrived early and it was already gross and dirty when we arrived. They allow alcohol to be taken anywhere in the waterpark. We continually saw half drank alcohol just left on the side of the pool. Any child could pick it up to drink. In the end, this place is a tragedy waiting to happen. I was super apprehensive about coming. I have heard horror stories from friends and family - stuff pertaining to it being dirty and ghetto. But I was pleasantly surprised. It's much smaller than I imagined. It does smell like chlorine (other yelpers complain) but as to be expected. The wave pool was cool. Wish it was a lil deeper. Inside pool was heated. They have a bar - haven't tried it out but def appealing. Overall I had a great time except for the food stand. Customer service was not that great and food itself wasn't that great. It is pricey but I expect it from these type places. It sucks u can't bring in your own food but I'll just use a cooler to stash in the car next time. Locker prices aren't that that bad. The staff here alone is enough to make one want to leave. They are beyond disorganized, from the ticket counter to the lazy river! Simply no guidance within this facility, but a bunch of kids blowing whistles rather than directing customers in the free for all shit show. Furthermore, this place should absolutely have a more realistic guest capacity. It was packed shoulder to shoulder with water that was most likely heated by too many human bodies and urine masked by the eye burning truck loads of chlorine dumped into this place. From the moment you walk in this place you're smacked in the face with so much chlorine. Both my kids and I were hacking and felt really short of breath. My body was shaking. We all felt light headed and went to the ER. My oxygen levels were lower than a normal and required to be on it for over an hour. I will call the corporate office tomorrow to complain and cancel my membership I purchased just this morning. I had to take frequent rest stops every couple minutes. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. My best friend, our boyfriends, & our 2 children visited today, 7/1/2021....we will NEVER return. When purchasing tickets online nowhere did it say there might possibly be limited attractions open. I wish I could give them the benefit of the doubt by being short staffed during these times BUT I saw more than enough lifeguards/other employees walking around. There were employees standing around areas that were not even open??? Make that make sense?? If they are available to be standing there in that moment why was the area not open?? The arcade is small but at least it was open unlike the multiple slides and pools indoor/outdoor. Understandable the outdoor pool wasn't open all day due to some rain but inside there was only ONE slide open (insanely long line)...the baby area was open but was crowded by the adults...wave pool was open (insanely long line)...and the middle kids area was open although our children did not care to play on that due to the lack of supervision - other children were climbing the polls, sitting in the buckets (that are supposed to flip & spill water on your head), etc. For 3 tickets we both paid $122 each (we were a family of 3, as were they) so all together the 6 of us paid around $244 not including the $15 locker rental to end up having a miserable time. Thankfully we did not waste all day here though...after we had to wait in an hour long line for the ONE open slide we decided to speak to a manager about a refund. Side note: my family of 3 drove an hour, her family of 3 drove almost TWO hours. We didn't bother even trying to get food after hearing how costly it is prior to visiting. The manager we spoke to (unfortunately I did not get her name, a young woman) was extremely nice & helpful! She apologized for our inconveniences & gave us both a refund (minus the tax and locker rental) with no problems. Other staff had major attitudes when all we asked was if the area was open... oh, almost forgot to mention - all 6 of us left with burning eyes due to the amount of chlorine. Great amusements for children and full bar for the adults HOWEVER it is very crowded and the elevated temperature combined with the extreme body heat, and heat from the kitchen makes me wanna vomit not figuratively. Not a high end establishment so if you are a female attractive or not expect cat calls. Some of the swim attire reminds me of miami urban beach week. This is my first time coming here and I will never come again. Although my husband and I enjoyed the slides, the amount of chlorine they put just burns your eyes. And some of the staff was rude. This is a great concept but unfortunately it it lacking in many ways. I love the idea of being able to go in a water park in the winter with my daughter. Unfortunately I do not enjoy a filthy dirty place where Kids AND ADULTS alike urinate in the water. The "scenery" is frightening also. I do not need to see a 400 pound woman in a bikini. The dress codes should be somewhat moderate. Obviously I understand it is a water park but children do not need to see that. It is also extremely expensive for a lack of activities. I don't even know where to begin. This place was like the seventh circle of hell. You pull up to the parking lot and from the outside the place looks like a prison, at best. You walk into this warehouse building and you're immediately in a noisy, crowded arcade. We moved through the chaos to find an impossibly long line for admission to the water park. We had purchased our tickets online months ago but there was no indication of whether we had to stay in the line with the same-day buyers or if there was a separate line for those who had pre-purchased. When someone at the desk did finally help us, she disappeared halfway through our transaction, without any explanation. After waiting about 10 minutes for her to return, we had to ask another employee to complete the process so we could go through - we had driven nearly 3 hours to get there and the children were anxious to get inside. Once we got in, the nightmare continued. The place was packed to the brim with people pretty much on top of each other and not a single available chair in sight. We had five people in our party and arms full of clothes and towels but nowhere to put them. That was pretty infuriating. It's astonishing to me that there seems to be no maximum capacity, or if there is then it's not enforced. The main play gym was closed for repairs, which I'm sure didn't help with the overcrowding. We ate lunch at their cafeteria and had the same problem finding seating. Oh and we spent upwards of $70 for three adults and two children to eat what was basically a hot dog and pizza meal. Ridiculous. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Especially during COVID, their website is misleading when they state the outdoor park is open...they charge you full price for hardly an outdoor park. It's literally $40 to use one pool, a wave pool, and a childrens splash pad. They should seriously consider decreasing the price when there's 2-(hardly)3 attractions. The food is standard expensive and not that good obviously, but not horrible. Bar, expensive, but not horrible. The park is fairly sanitary, wasnt that crowded fortunately, but you could have 75% of that same experience at your local pool. read more

Fun place. Worth the money, which means the experience could have been better but for $35 each it was good. Main problem was it was very crowded. We arrived at 10:30 Saturday morning and had very little wait for anything for about an hour, then it felt like grand central station. A line to get to everything. Not the park's fault, it's just a popular, inexpensive option = crowds. Arrive early, leave by 12:30. Lots of fun slides, great but small toddler area. Here on a weekday isn't bad. Crowded but not to a point where it annoys you. I think the outside activities are cleaner and newer. I would like to give a special attention to the instructor at the flow rider. I been sitting here for a good 30 mins. He's been so great and patient with every single new rider he came across. Gives them enough information to give them the best experience possible and most importantly. He wasn't rushing them at all. Awesome job!! I have attached photo of him. My kids had so much fun here. I was really nervous going having read some of the reviews, but I guess it depends on your expectations. We got there around opening on a Saturday and it was clean and there were no lines and we got to go several rounds in the lazy river without getting off. We exited for a quick lunch using a picnic table in their parking lot, having read reviews of the high prices and slow service of the in-park dining options, and then returned for more fun. The afternoon crowds were big (looked like birthday parties) and some of the kids were rowdy and ran around and cut the lines. Not all of the slides were open, which was disappointing and a surprise since I had called a day earlier to ask about closures. Still, our kids are young and they had enough to do. It's smaller than some of the other indoor parks I've been to, but the online day tickets were only $37 (plus we rented a locker), which is less than many other parks charge and a reason why we decided to give Big Kahuna's a try. Until my kids ask for more, I will be visiting again. read more

PLEASE READ AND BE WARNED: As soon as I entered the waterpark area I was hit with a wall of chlorinated air that left my eyes red and burning. It was not only difficult to see but it also was rough on my throat. The rest of my group also had their eyes tearing up and burning the entire time we were there. It was actually physically painful to be there and I only spent a short time in the water area, then went to the food court and then back to the arcade area. I bought season passes and not even sure I'll be going back due to the pain of the chlorinated air. Not only that, please understand and expect that this place is crowded -- we went on a MONDAY afternoon and it was packed - the lazy river has WAY too many people in it at a time, and rafts that make any sort of movement nearly impossible. We were left basically floating while bumping into other people and rafts. Think New York City traffic, bumper to bumper -- that's what the lazy river is like - filled with people, rafts, and people in rafts, bumping into each other - slowly. I am extremely disappointed with the experience especially because it costs a small fortune between the TICKETS, the FOOD, and the locker rentals. Literally paid $15 to rent a locker big enough for a back pack and shoes. C'mon! After $40 in tickets, you're not going to include a locker rental for our clothes? It's amazing what being tortured from the chlorinated air and in pain in yours eyes will do to you, especially after feeling obligated to try and salvage some sort of value out of the money you spend getting in -- I actually would have been THRILLED to spend the $15 on a locker if the atmosphere (literally, the air) was able to be inhaled & seen through without the burning sensations. We had both our boys (4&2) birthday party there and our experience was HORRIBLE. We arrived early for our 10:30 party and were not allowed to enter the room until 10:40 because the room was not ready. Once entering the room, the children were served food. After a few minutes our party host, who was very rude, told us we had to do cake. We sang Happy birthday but then were told the children couldn't have cake because we had to had to leave the room. Our party was scheduled until 230 but we left around 1. We went to get the party host who told us she was too busy to help us and retrieve our items.
