There should be a limit to the amount of people they let in there. We planned to go for my daughter's birthday, not even realizing it was spring break. We stood in line for twenty minutes just to get inside. Once you got inside it was soo congested. We hadn't even made it in any water, but our eyes burned because of the chlorine. & I mean you literally had to keep brushing past people and say excuse me. There was never a clear walkway. I read reviews earlier that were pretty rough so was nervous about taking my youngest. We bought tickets online and got there right at 10 when it opened. It was as if we had the entire place to ourselves for a good hour. Not everything was opened yet but enough for my daughter to have fun. I'd say by 11 the outside pool area opened and it was dead. It's hot and humid indoors but I've never been to a water park that isn't and that doesn't smell like chlorine. My only negative is the food. Way overpriced and not tasty at all. We spent over 45 dollars on a seltzer, lemonade, individual cheese pizza, cheese quesadilla and pretzel. Almost all of the food got trashed because it really wasn't good. The staff was attentive and a lot of people were walking around sweeping up trash. It's an expensive day but would go again. This place cares about one thing and one thing only and that is $. Expect lines, lines and more lines. First they make you wait in line where two young punks go through all your stuff looking for food and water which they will take. They act like TSA and almost took formula for my 6 month old niece. This is experience #1. Then you head through an arcade where you wait in a slow line for a half hour to get tickets. We bought memberships online yet still had to wait in the long line so we could get photos and complete more paperwork. What was the point of doing this online? They advertise either $7 for a large locker or $6 for a small. By 11am they conveniently sell out of large lockers making you purchase two small lockers which means $12 instead of $7. After 45 minutes it is now time for line #3 where you get in line to enter and get yelled at for putting on your own wristband. They make you go through this stupid orange turn style that is too small. They made me go through with my two year old niece and it was rather uncomfortable. This place is crazy packed and all they care about is squeezing every cent out of customers and making sure no one comes in that shouldn't. They had just as many people at the front (cahier, checking for water bottles and wristbands) than they do lifeguards. Another dumb thing they do is their assignment of lockers. They give them out in the same numerical order as people check in so it creates a bottle neck trying to get to your locker initially. Expect a half hour wait at the slides and surf simulator. The indoor toddler pool is lacking. The one at coco key is much better. The toddler swings are worn with some black stuff smudged on them, just what you want to put your baby in. There is even a line for the bathrooms. There is only one station for changing babies and it was disgusting with dirt and hair. 95% of the patrons are over weight which isn't surprising considering what they serve. The park is very dry and you will be thirsty and will be forced to spend a good amount of $ on food and drinks which will clog your arteries and won't even taste good after spending time in another line. If they aren't going to let you bring in snacks, they should at a minimum offer healthy alternatives at a reasonable price. The only redeeming thing is that there is also an outdoor area which will be nice for summer. Memorial weekend, the outdoor pools were very chilly. But they do have an indoor and outdoor bar so you can get liquored up and maybe not feel it. One of their popular drinks is a fish bowl which I find disturbing for a place that is supposed to be a family destination. Lifeguards are miserable and lacking in some areas yet there is no shortage of bartenders ready to make liquor drinks the size of fishbowls. They will also be sure to have you sign a waiver giving up your rights before you get on the surf simulator before they even explain how it works. I signed and was about to get in line when I witnessed a young female get hurt. It shut down the attraction for a good half hour until they cleared her from the scene and then it was business as usual so I decided not to try it. I found the employees to be much more happy and friendly at coco key and found coco key to be more welcoming. Sahara Sam's has a huge parking lot. It was so crowded at 3pm when we left that people were parking illegally because there were no spots. Despite the negative reviews, I really enjoyed myself at this place. They have 4 major water slides, including a family slide. They also have a Flowrider, which, even though they make you sign a waiver and it thrashes you around, was a lot of fun. They had all sorts of play areas with slides for the littler kids, including a pool with a basketball net both indoors and outdoors. All of the attractions are a lot of fun. The staff is friendly, but they all seem to be generally apathetic about the guests, letting them cut in line, and talking to their coworkers. The "no outside food or drink" policy is ridiculous because they try to charge you $11 for a chicken finger platter, so I suggest you pack a cooler and go to the parking lot to eat, or take a brief leave and go across the street to Wendy's for lunch. Went here on a Saturday in July. Usually I avoid places like this on weekends but thought that it might not be so crowded in the summer because people are at the beach, pool, great adventure, etc. Well I was wrong! It was really overcrowded, hot, and not that enjoyable. Where are the parents of the obnoxious kids who cut the lines and push people around? At the bar? My toddler and I couldn't even get a tube for the lazy river because people were just shoving past us to grab them from people in the water. There is nobody to control this situation. The slides are just ok. There are two real water slides and the rest is very babyish. You get bored here quickly. Went today for the first time with my daughter and grandsons. The first thing I noticed was the intense chlorine smell. Then I noticed the clientele and was glad there was so much chlorine smell. The lazy river was more like the punk kids body surfing in the crowd river! First time at this place for my son and I as we attended a birthday party and it was pretty cool to have an indoor waterpark only an hour away from home. However, two or three hours is for sure enough time to spend at the park -- after that you will probably be bored. Also, the gaurds should do a better job controlling the kids in the lazy river -- it's called lazy for a reason.. not get in your tube and run as fast as you can bumping everyone out of the way. Finally, the party it self -- it seemed as if the staff was highly un-organized and needs some better training. Upon arriving, a man was at the front door checking bags. That was fine, but when we asked him where to go to check in for our party, he was talking through his teeth and we had no idea what he was saying. After eventually figuring it out for ourself, we got to the party room. The two girls were teenagers that obviously hated their jobs, and they made it seem like they were disinterested in assisting us. Trying to check in for the party was like pulling teeth, which was really annoying. The food was only OK and super expensive. I ordered with a family member - two pretzels and two cups of coffee cost us $14. I don't know how anyone could go in there and order an entire meal without going bankrupt! The smell of urine and chlorine was nauseating, it actually became hard to breath while indoors. So many loud and obnoxious people screaming and acting like they owned the place. The individual party was pretty pathetic. The party is only allocated 45 minutes to eat pizza and play arcade games. Oh and the pizza was super doughy; probably undercooked to be honest. Nice water park. Beats coco keys by far! Pools were clean, wave pool was cool. The pools are very large compared to any others. We got there at 10am when they opened, by 12 the place was way over crowded. They should allow a limit of people. We were pretty much tripping on one another, and so much people traffic. Weekdays, like Monday or Tuesday are probably a better choice when visiting. The food us way over priced, but expected. $88 for 1 meal for 6 people thats with 2 bottles of water and the sahara sam souvenir cup. We bought a season pass for our family on Black Friday. We came during the Christmas break from school and had a Great time! Highly recommend getting a cabana and highly recommend getting there 10 minutes before the park opens. Very clean water park and bathroom facilities. Not sure if the employees are training in special needs but they were very patient especially at the boogie board "ride". They made sure everyone got their turn and chance to succeed at a good "ride" including challenges young man in his 30s? Food was pricey but that to be expected but they had deals that we took advantage of. The arcade was fun also. We will be back since we have a season pass and recommend it to any family. I have been a swimmer for many years off and on. I anticipate a mild eye burn when walking into any indoor pool or water park. I know that all indoor swimming facilities have to be tested regularly. I have been to other indoor water parks and I have NEVER experienced anything quite like this- it was surreal. Picture mass respiratory poisoning obvious at every inch of the place. All while parents insist that their children and infants endure mass poisoning because the entrance fee was paid. Upon entering- MASSiVE eye burning- this is my body saying: "don't breath in too deeply,be sure to breath through your nose. Or else your lungs will be next!" I was meeting my mom, my step sister, my neice, nephew etc for my daughter's birthday that my mom had planned because rain was predicted and we couldn't go to Dorney Park. So even though I am sensitive to these things I was ready to endure it for the family. Within 10 minutes of entering the place I was looking for any escape. I explained my observations to my wife who is more level headed with a few things. I told her I wanted to get the board of health out to prevent more mass poisoning. To my surprise- she advised that I go to the car to get my phone to start calling any appropriate authority. Before I went out- vomit was observed on the floor. My wife directed me to try to prevent as many bare feet from walking through the puke as possible before I let the staff know about the puke. I did my best. I went out to the car and called the police, the board of health and the dep. the police said they would come right away. I waited outside for 40 minutes- no cops came. I went back in prepared to endure it for my family. I looked around the overcrowding and noticed at least 2 families fanning infants with rags, etc.. i wanted to go tell this ignorant people to remove the infants immediately. I even heard a small boy complaining to their parents about their eyes burning and "choking " feeling. The parents told him:" we already paid for it so make the best of it." Again- almost in the same spot at the bottom of a slide- a kid puked. This told me that what happened most likely was that the kids walked up the stairs to the slide- increased 02 demand. Went down the slide then puked- a confused response. Really it wasn't an upset stomach- especially after the second time In the same spot. It was two different kids' bodies trying to defend the chemical attack in the same way- by rejecting it. I quickly brought the whole family out to the outdoor wave pool even though it was cold. I thought I would hear about that. But it turns out that everyone in my group agreed that this place was potentially permanently damaging to people. My nephew broke out in rash spontaneously and my sister pointed it out. My nieces' eyes burnt the whole time. In my Lehman's opinion- this place needs a complete overhaul or it needs to be condemned. It is shocking to me that this place is allowed to remain open. I probably will follow up with the health department. Kids from inner cities experience far more cases of asthma. Could it be something we are overlooking? Maybe these kids go to places like this more often then other kids. It would be a shame if it were this simple. I wouldn't be surprised- it was that bad. People- go to split rock resort in Pennsylvania. Or wolf's lodge. Those places don't put people's long term health at risk like this place. Out door water parks don't have these ventilation risks. Common sense rules- the very young and the very old are most at risk. If you feel the need to fan your baby- get your infant the hell out of there to prevent long term chronic issues. Rude as hell! Not even interested in walking into the park. Asking for refund. We started planning our trip 2 weeks ago, requested the time off from work knowing that the kids were out of school. The website and physical calendar literally said they were open from 10am to 7pm. Apparently, last week they decided to change their hours and up until a few minutes after I complained on twitter, parts of their website and the calendar on their door still said 10am. Another guest also showed up early telling us that she was just told yesterday by a staff member that they open at 10am. (Yes, guys. We literally sat in the car watching the staff come out to change the hours posted minutes after we took to twitter). They decided a week ago to open at noon instead. If I planned this two weeks ago, why would I assume you decided to change your hours a week later? Imagine walking up to the door at 10:15, seeing a calendar that says 10am-7pm and calling them up because you're confused since the doors are locked - only to be answered by a woman who sounds like her intent in life is to make you feel like a moron insisting that all their literature says they open at noon and implying you just can't read. We had bought season passes but the way we were treated over the phone - NO THANK YOU!! Just a simple apology would have gone over way better in my opinion. But it doesn't seem like they care about keeping customers anyway because we had other families telling us how rude they were to them over the phone also. Heading to Funplex instead!!! I loved it. I'm a water park junkie and I'm always looking for a new place to go to. I'm 25 years old and absolutely loved this place! Yes, it's small but so are the crowds for the most part you can go on the rides as many times as you want. This place is absolutely beautiful inside, not to mention clean. I had no problems with anyone being rude but then again... I wasn't really paying attention. I just wanted to go on rides. The bar is amazing - I went there and had a few drinks. The bartender was extremely nice - talking to us, giving us free drinks, etc. They were definitely strong but very tasty. My only downfall is that they don't have showers (if they did, I didn't see them). But that's my only complaint.... This place is about 90 minutes from my house but it was worth it and I'll be back here again! read more

Our group consisted of 4 adults (25+) 2 tots (3 years old) and 1 kid (12) Walk in to find an ARCADE area. FYI: Arcade area is not as heated as the water park. Many games had error messages on them, but we spent our fair share playing basketball, air hockey, bowling game, & skee ball which was fun! Enter the Water park and you're senses switch up to SUMMER TIME, which was terrific considering all the snow outside. Things to keep in mind here: We Saved money by parking close to the entrance, walking in - then sacrificing one person in our party to run the coats back to the car - otherwise, you're spending lots more for space to hold your coats/personal items in the LOCKERS. Some attractions were CLOSED, but not nearly enough to affect our good time - there's so much going on for everyone here and yes the wave thingy was working and hardly any waiting time to ride it at all - I was also able to ride a water slide back to back / about 3 mins waiting time each trip. WHICH IS AMAZING FOR ANY PARK!! THE BATHROOMS here could have been better kept, I have to say. At one point I went into 4 different stalls to find NO toilet paper in any of them, ran out to concession, got some napkins, problem solved. Inconvienient to say the least tho?! LIFEGUARDS here are young and... well... are as considerate and helpful as teenagers get. lol I didnt come across any huge issues, perhaps seeing a supervisor or an adult overseeing something would put the patrons more at ease. One moment of discomfort for me here was when I was on a paticular ride, and a worker couldnt resist looking through their phone/ while on duty. Not cool! Word of advice is to keep a tight distance with your kid in this place. Footwear is not madatory, but wearing some can help reduce any slip/falls. I was fine with flip flops. There were times where we felt a cool breeze whooosh into the place, but overall it was acceptable - just would be way better if the heat were turned up a bit and more consistant. This place is MUCH BETTER then Coco Keys.. If your trying to decide where to go between the two.. this is the better option. It was VERY crowded.. but still less crowded then when we went to Coco Keys. The lines for the water slides were extremely long. We waited about 35-40 mins for the family slide. The kid areas are very small... They need to make them bigger for the number of smaller kids they have there. They only had 4 kid bouncers which is ridiculous. The lazy river was the nicest part. It was super crowded but the water was clean. They don't have many changing areas so we had to wait in a line to change when we were leaving. The food prices.... well EAT BEFORE YOU GO! A soft pretzel on the smaller size was $4.00. That was the cheapest thing on there menu. I think 3 chicken tenders with fries was 12.50! read more

Had a birthday party on sunday. Experience were pretty good and the drinks were strong. I was a bit bothered by an employee before our arrival. I thought I would have to deal with and argue with party reserver named, Chelsea. This individual was rude when I called few days before the party date to confirm some inf. She was rude and didn't answer my questions but instead she called my wife, who was the contact for the party and complained to her that I was harassing her over the phone. It is a shame that this person thinks that by asking some simple questions about the party packages is consider harrassment. Unfortunately, she failed to realize that I am the father and husband and the one who paid for cost of the party. I almost cancelled such party because I felt disrespected but I tolerated such treatment due to my daughters birthday party being in few days. We just went today 3/23/2019 for my twins 9th birthday . I was really hoping this was going to be a great place since we love kalahari and great wolf in pa . I'm sad to say we are not very happy and won't be returning . The bathrooms are gross , a lot of the water attractions were closed then open then closed again . We really didn't get a chance to go on much . The frog pad pool was closed then open for 20 mins then closed again the lazy river closed . There was good and bad to my visit yesterday. I was disappointed with the amount of slides, I mean there really only have 3 for bigger kids and adults. Plus, you have to walk up 72 steps to get to them. The place wasn't crowded, but that only highlighted the lack of slides. The staff was nice and did a good job dealing with the kids that were a little rowdy. I don't get mad at kids when they get like tha, because all kids have lots of energy and can be hyper. My only complaint was that the line to get in the park moved slow. I guessed food would be overpriced so we stopped for lunch before going in. I would be upset if I had to pay the very high prices for food. I drove an hour to get here, but I think the one in the Poconos is a better value for the money. Had a awesome experience here. I bought my daughter here for the weekend for her birthday and we had a great time we spent all day there from 11am-7pm on a Saturday. We purchase tickets online and showed the admission person our ticket and we got in quick. The locker worked fine. Food was pricy, but we went and got food outside and ate out then came back. Great place to spend a weekday for the price. We went on a Wednesday and no bag check.. The morning crowds were all camp children. By the afternoon, the place was pretty empty which was perfect for me and my small children. Had a relaxing good time, and we will return. My family- husband and 2 daughters 8 and 14- visited for the first time today 10/12. I have to say we were impressed by the staff in general. A lovely group of young men and women. In particular Nate and Vinnie who were working at the Flow Rider were wonderful! The care and encouragement they showed in teaching the kids was excellent! They truly enjoyed what they were doing and even kids who were hesitant made it through and had a blast, thanks to them. The bartender was very nice also. Although we didn't play, the games in the arcade were cool- similar to Dave n Busters games. The place was clean and well managed. Good place to cool off. Place does get crowded so be prepared to shuffle quite a bit. A small Locker to put your stuffs in is 7$ plus a $20 fee they charge you just in case you lose the key, but once you return the key they will give you your 20$ back. They have their own lockers with keys so you don't need to bring a lock you won't use it. The lines are a bit unorganized when it comes to the indoor rides and people tend to get aggravated if they feel like they're being cut in line of so watch out for cranky people! Just smile and keep it moving its a family oriented location let's keep it that way. (they do serve alcohol) the food is over priced 30$ for chicken and fries -_- and we aren't talking about good food to begin with so I suggest you eat before heading going here.
