Once you get into the building, taking the elevator to the 7th (?) floor will bring you into the arena. There's not a bad seat in the house and the vendors seemed to be more reasonably priced than a game at the KeyBank Arena. I had a pretty decent chicken finger sub while I was over here. For a hockey game, it's a great venue...and I'm definitely curious to learn more about renting skates/etc and coming here for that -- seems like it would be a great place for some indoor skating as well!

The prices were affordable and we both felt safe with their COVID procedures. The games were $3 each, and $3 for shoes. My friend didn't need shoes or a ball. I did though and was pleased with their process. COVID19 safety procedule: 1. The staff member asks for your shoe size; then your provided with disinfected shoes. 2. If you required a ball, a staff member provided you with a glove, and you were assisted till you found correct ball size. Everything balls, shoes were clean, and staff were friendly. Dividers were used between each lane to promote social distancing. Overall felt safe and would return again. I may be the worst bowler, but I do have a funny gutter ball dance.

Someone from the front counter takes you to your lane. You have to go in one way through the alley, and leave another way, for safety reasons, which is good. While you make your way to the alley, there is an area to choose your bowling ball if you don't have one. You are given gloves to try them on before selecting one. Then you make your way to the alley. When you are done with the ball, you leave it on the lanes, and someone immediately came and cleaned the area and the ball. Very efficient and safe. There are plastic sheets hanging between each lane for COVID safety. Also, you can't go up to the bar or snack bar. There is a call button given to each party and you order from there. They have many menu offerings that sounded good and one day I'm going to have to order some bowling alley food.

He also mentions at the start of the ride that there is no vaping onboard, which we found to be more than reasonable. However, my wife and I saw HIM vaping while driving the boat?! Additionally, we felt as if the drinks were overtly overpriced -- 2 oz well liquor for $12 is insane! No bar I have been to in the Buffalo area charges that much for a well cocktail. However, we did feel as if the price of the tour itself was reasonable. The music was also not to our liking, but we understand it is challenging to accommodate everyone. But, it would have been nice to suggest a song or two. Unfortunately, a few of our friends have has similar experiences.... I was out there for nearly the full 3 hours ... a lot sweatier than I was a quarter century ago when I last was going to skate nights LOL but it didn't interrupt my fun! The admission without skates is $12, a locker rental $3. I'm not sure how much to rent skates as I had my own. The locker was a generous size and held many items including my gym bag I carried my skates in, small purse, phone, socks, towel, jacket and shoes. There was still some room to spare. I didn't have any food, but I noticed there was a candy case, pizza, and wings. Some other items on the menu too but I didn't take note. There is a DJ and I will say I made a request and he was very nice and he did play my song. There are people on the floor who will help you if you're having trouble skating, as well as "walkers" on wheels to hold onto (I don't know what they're called). It wasn't a huge place; the rink is smaller than others I have been too but still it was ok. There's no "extras" like arcade games or mini golf - you can skate or watch people skate lol I love to skate so no big deal and it was nice to get exercise that doesn't feel like exercise! I will happily come here again sometime and wish I had a skating rink in my area but no matter what I would have to drive somewhere because there isn't so I'll come again in the future.

It's a pretty modern facility but it has nothing on the nearby YMCA where I go. I think quite a few Cheektowaga residents don't even know it exists. LA-Sale Park is out in California, and it's basically like a yard sale for movie stars and wannabe…read moreactors. So you can pick up all kinds of crazy things that you wouldn't find at a regular Yard Sale elsewhere in the country. Here in Buffalo, though, we have a beautiful waterfront park along the Niagara River, with grilling and soccer and a dog park and lots of gorgeous views and sunsets. If you squint, you can see the Maple Syrup across the water glinting in the Canadian sunlight. I play soccer here... but not too often because it is the worst field I've ever played on. However other than soccer, I come here because it's one of my fave spots anywhere in the city. You can see the towering shapes of Statler and City Hall across the thundering 190 highway and train track at one end of the park. You have the Barkyard and all kinds of interesting buildings at the other end. And then you have the beautiful waterfront and the pathway along it. Not always the cleanest, not always the safest area at night, but during the day, in the summer, it's stunning. I was here just 3 weeks ago for a soccer game actually. I'm not supposed to be playing, but my goodness, what fantastic views from here on a blue sky day. It's one of the best natural settings for a park in Buffalo. The park isn't always the cleanest, the soccer field is the worst in the region (possibly the country), and the driveways are full of enormous treacherous potholes, but just because of the location and the beautiful views, I have to give it a 5.
